I am using Glaskart (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.go.launcherex.theme.kxnt.glasklart) at the moment since I have a blue/white thing going on.
I second Nova launcher! you can change the grid size (6x6 looks so much nicer to me) rename app labels (my kindle app is named 'READ" and my gallery is named "LOOK" and redditisfun is "BORED") if you pay for the pro version you can set your icons to have separate apps launch whether you click or swipe icons (like tapping camera to launch the camera, but swiping it to launch snapchat, so freaking slick!)
icon packs will change most of your icons to match different themes. if your running a mostly one colored wallpaper then GLASKLART looks amazing ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.go.launcherex.theme.kxnt.glasklart&hl=en ) but there are icon packs to match almost any personal tastes!
also make sure you go into the play store and turn off "add icons to home screen" this is android, we have an app drawer, we don't need every freaking app on the home screen cluttering shit up
I do this for vacations to get the best out of my battery: * Switch wallpaper to a black amoled * Don't use widgets * Use only 1 screen * Use Glasklart Icon Pack

They're both light and I think they would look cool at the bottom of the wallpaper. I love the wallpaper btw
