Jefit might be worth a look. Multiple workouts, routines, and stats are supported. Also quick preview GIFs of the exercises and programmable rest times to keep you on schedule. Good stuff.
Been using Jefit for many years now. Easy to set up routines and add excercises. You can set a default rest time and default number of sets and things like that. Also log your weight and measurements.
Haven't tried anything else, but never needed to. Never experienced any bugs. Can be a challenge to log amraps or other workout types that are more unconventional though, so there might be something better out there.
First of all congratulations on beating your cancer and I hope you stay well in the future.
Secondly I honestly don't think you should feel disgusted with how you look; you're skinny but you're not horrible to look at in the slightest (though I might be biased: 22, 6'2" and 148lbs).
To gain weight though it looks like /u/nike747 has covered all of the bases. Eat, train and sleep well and the weight will come. I use Jefit to plan workouts and keep track of what I've been lifting. It has a pretty large exercise library with GIFs and and an overview for proper form. It's a free for both Android and iOS and I find it works well for me.
Good luck on your quest for gains!
Not sure what you mean by custom workout planning if it has plans or you make your own or there are personal trainers that customize or what.
I like jefit a lot. It has prebuilt plans on the free tier that can work or you can create your own custom plans as well. I believe they have a premium version with more custom plans on top of that. For a generic app to customize my workouts I use it and it works well.
Being a newbie in the gym is daunting. I remember my first time, I honestly thought everyone was looking and judging. I spent so much time on the treadmill because I hadn't a clue how to use any of the other equipment and was afraid of looking like a fool.
I found an app called JEFIT that guides you through how to use the machines. You can even sort your workouts by the type of equipment your gym has. It was a godsend. As I progressed in fitness and knowledge I've seen other newbies struggle and have recommended the app. They all found it very useful, perhaps you should give it a try!
That's the pro version.

The free one is enough for most.
I have used Jefit in the past after it was suggested here a few times. Several workouts that you can download and use as well as logging your own if you decide to make your own program.
Also another useful app I found here is FitNotes this helped me log and track everything I was doing in the gym (used to be old school and carry a pad and pen in the gym).
I tried quite a few apps a few years ago, and settled on Jefit. It's easy to put together your own routines, syncs to the cloud, has a timer between exercises to help maintain focus, has decent progress tracking, and helpful exercise summaries. Definitely worth a look.
I don't know if you've tried Jefit, it's my app of choice when it comes to weightlifting, although it does not have real time heartrate monitor, other than that it does a pretty good job keeping track of your workouts.
Yeah. The thing is, weightlifting is so detailed from person to person, they wouldn't really be able to enter everything in. This way you can keep track of how much weight you started out with, and how much weight you can lift/press over time. I am not sure if there is a better app for tracking weightlifting workouts.
Something like this app might be worth using.
Jefit is a great workout tracker. Many ready to go workouts or build your own.
I like Fasting App for intermittent fasting.
Back when I actually felt comfortable going to the gym, before COVID, I used an app called JEFIT.
You can select from multiple workout plans, and they give you diagrams and animations of how to do each exercise, albeit to varying degrees of usefulness.
You track your reps and weight and all that, and the app keeps track of all of it so you can see your progress.
I never did much work looking for alternatives though, so there might be some better ones out there.
For a while I was using JEFit, but recently I've started to use Progression cause it has a better rest timer, a built-in plate calculator, and integrates with Google Fit. Both are excellent though.

If you must have an app, JEFIT is nice and also free: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=je.fit
If you want an app that does pretty much the same thing, but adaptable to any workout with most any exercise Jefit is pretty good. I've been using it since I stopped SL and it's fairly useful. It is a tad clunky, and a little annoying to use at first but you get used to it. A lot more work on the user end than SL or 531 apps though.
I've been using JEfit for a while, even though the exercises haven't been updated since the app was made, it's still great and very customizable. You can log you're weights, time rest periods, add your own exercises, calculates your one rep maxes. Basically has all you need for the gym.
It's JEFIT. I enter my own custom routines and custom exercises, though there is a database. It's pretty good, and I've liked it better than the others I've tried, but I keep looking for something better.
I think JeFit should be in that list too.
It seems more aimed at gym stuff like weight lifting etc. instead of running, but it's great for seeing how some exercises are done, it's fantastic to keep track of your progress.
JEFIT is my favorite so far
Links for the lazy, JEFIT Android JEFIT iOS.
I used to use JEFIT years ago. I haven't used it in a while but it was pretty good from what I remember:

While i do like the Stronlifts 5x5 app, I switched to Jefit a while ago and haven't looked back, but YMMV.
I'm a fan of JEFIT
JEFIT is the best workout tracker with everything you could possibly need. I've been using the free version for years and it does it all!
I use JEFIT. It isn't pretty but it works fine.
Jefit is pretty comprehensive in this way, at least for the big muscle groups.
