Keyring is my preferred app. Problem lies in the scanner technology at various stores. If it's the older laser scanners (like the ones in my grocery store self-checkout) they cannot read phone screens. Newer CCD scanners (like the handheld ones most cashiers now have) will work just fine. I can manually enter my code if I need to at self-checkout and the cashier very helpfully told me which numbers I needed to omit.
Keyring on Android. Although all you ever need is email or phone number and they can find you in their system so no need for cards.
The developers have been made aware of the incompatibility with the 5X already but it might take them awhile. The camera functionality is used when adding a new card. You have the ability to take front and rear pictures of the card to save a virtual copy for reference later.
For me, the keychain consumer tracking cards are a no-no. I use the Android app Key Ring to store all my rewards style information. Gets synced to the cloud, so if I lose my phone (or drop it - again), I don't lose my info.
Key Ring is also a good app.
