How does this compare to Hitman:GO? I find that to be a really good mobile/tablet game.
Lara Croft: GO is also available for $.99 on Android if you prefer a game like this on mobile/tablet.

You may be already aware of this and I know it's not the same theme, but Lara Croft Go is available from the same developers.
Yeah, it's not like there was a mobile game in the last two months with her in that outfit. There also isn't a Console/PC game released less than a year ago with her in shorts.
Yup. Tomb Raider (2013) totally marked the end of Lara's classic outfit.
Well today's Short-Time game discussion made me want to try Lara Croft GO. I was surprised to see it's on sale for just $0.99 for the holidays still.
Android version is also on sale for the same price/discount here.

I'm really enjoying Lara Croft Go. It's essentially Tomb Raider distilled down to a cerebral puzzle/board game. A bit spendy at $4.99, but it sounds like you've got the credit.

If you're looking for something to do, and have an Android phone or tablet, this game is free and has lots of weird puzzles, nice graphics. I lost several hours of my life last night playing it.

I suppose it is type of sale different from usual where both, regular and reduced prices are displayed. In this case displayed price is actually reduced one and it will probably be changed again to non-sale price. For example, take this ongoing sale. Here it's easier to spot a sale because percentage of reduction is stated and visible. As for Final Fantasy, I'm pretty sure about some titles because I had them on my wishlist for some time and I remember original prices. But they are very expensive and even in case of some deal it is hard to notice that price change.

... so? The fact that it happens to feature a character from a previous game doesn't preclude that character being featured in future games on the PC.
Lara Croft GO didn't prevent Rise of the Tomb Raider coming out the next year; Hitman GO and Hitman Sniper didn't prevent the 2016 game from coming out.
Honestly, I think this is the epitome of the entitled gamer stereotype: a product is being released, one which will probably prove rather popular with the intended audience. But people are raising a god damned stink about the fact that something is being done that isn't catering hand and foot to what they want.
For fuck's sake, you can't expect the entire world to bend to your whims. People who play games on other platforms deserve a chance to get games in interesting franchises too.

Regarding indie games on Steam, PSN has improved quite a bit. Frequent sales (almost on a weekly basis) and prices are on par, if not lower than on Steam.
There's zero point paying $5 for it when it's $1 for Android (along with Deus Ex and Hitman Go)

Lara Croft GO - here's a video trailer that's pretty spoiler-free. It's a beautifully designed adventure/puzzle game with a fair amount of replayability, the right amount of challenge, and a great ambient soundtrack. Incredibly addicting and also relaxing at the same time. It also tells a nice story without any words. Shameless promotion since I really want a sequel to be made.
