Nest Aware with Video History Cloud Recording has a new name. And it’s getting better. If you have seven-day Cloud Recording, you now get ten days of Video History. We also improved motion detection, so you get more accurate alerts.
What happens to the Dropcam app? There are still a few features in the Dropcam app that aren’t part of the Nest app. So until we add control by location, email alerts, and video sharing, we’ll keep the Dropcam app up and running.
I've just searched for it, and it still seems to be showing for me. Not going to uninstall it and tempt fate though.

Hope that helps.
I didn't realize there was a nest app. I did search at one point, but the only result seemed to be unrelated. Is this official?

I believe I do use location assist. I pretty much gave Google every permission.
Just now, I had the same "Unable to start device pairing. Configuration not available" error from the Google Home app. But I was able to scan the QR code and enter the entry code to add it in the <strong>Nest app</strong>.
I did this install before and I think eventually the Nest Thermostat showed up in my Google Home app. (It was definitely there, but I'm not certain how it got there.)

Erratic behavior. Specially -
Click on cameras and nothing happens. After viewing one camera, hitting back and trying to open another camera. Click on filters nothing happens. Sometimes they pop up, not all the time. Click on full screen or exit full screen and nothing happens.
Its almost like you get one click inside the app and once you use it you are done. Follow-up clicks on cameras or navigation buttons just shows a temporary black bubble like it knows there's a press it just doesn't want to comply.
Tried clearing storage, uninstalling and reinstalling, giving all permissions with no change.
thanks for the tip... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nest.android
