That's a great app. Been using it since it came out. I highly recommend using it with a color picking app so you can get the perfect hue to match the status bar.
Custom color code. I use Pixolor to pick up the color code from my wallpaper, put it in customization>accent color>customization>color code. Then I change the shade to my liking.
Android app named Pixolor. It is a color picker app for designers. It isn't perfect for my needs but it helps me a great deal. I swipe down on my notification/quick panel to launch. It places a color picker over the screen you can move around to get a real-time readout of the color. You can pinch/zoom the magnification/precision of the picker while hovering over the image.
I like that it gives me a regular color name along with numbers. I can copy one of the color numbers but their share interface doesn't let me simply copy to the clipboard -only send to other apps.

Edit to add on my computers I use this chrome browser extension (in MS Edge).

Try Pixolor
Many (but not all) color pickers have that functionality: pick a color, and it'll give you a suitable palette containing that and other colors. Some let you choose between different sizes of palette, and complementary vs. adjacent colors for the palette, and so on.
For example:

Pipette is a great suggestion, one that I also have myself. Other than that, Pixolor can give you the hex code of any pixel of the display in real-time.

What confuses me is that if this app is able to grab hex codes from the status bar, why can't Navbar Apps?
Maybe pull that color off the clock numbers. You can use something like This to get the color if needed
Not sure. Try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.embermitre.pixolor.app

It's a color picker and it does exactly what you want. Pinch the circl to adjust zoom.
If you're on Android, Pixolor works pretty well. Otherwise there's probably something similar on iOS.

Isn't there a fully black theme?
When you are on the hunt for true blackness you should check with an app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.embermitre.pixolor.app
