Yes this. If you have a stock Korean phone (and other countries sometimes) with a remote app already included, some of the apps have air con remote codes already loaded and since yours is an LG air con, it should recognize the preset code/signal already loaded in the stock app.
Personally I've used Zaza https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tiqiaa.remote&hl=en
Go through the setup wizard so you end up with LG air con settings.
If you have a phone with infrared and you need to use the remote for some reasons you can use this app.
Honestly i don't remeber how i was able to find the working config but is there somewhere.

I used to have a Xiaomi phone with an IR blaster which worked perfectly with the Mi remote app (no surprise) but since I bought a pixel and got a third party USB infrared transmitter, the app didn't detect it.
Zaza remote works withouth a hitch and i don't have to hunt for tv remotes anymore

There is absolutely nothing for a non-Chinese market that isn't also available from the Play Store. And while Google's Play Store security track record isn't the most impressive, it's still by far the more trustworthy source.
There is zero reason to keep the AppGallery around except for keeping Huawei's system apps slightly more up to date between OTAs.
I remember people used to plug an IR LED into their ipod's headphone jack and then play back WAV files they'd recorded of the IR codes for their TV's and things.
I did a quick google search and found there's a lot of similar stuff for android and ios.
You can DIY it for nearly free: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Infrared-transmitter-for-iPhone-iPod/
Or you could buy one off ebay for under a dollar: http://www.ebay.com/itm/182228697861
Or you could buy a learning one for like $10: http://www.cnx-software.com/2014/07/21/transform-your-smartphone-into-a-universal-ir-remote-control-with-zazaremote/
And there's also this open source one for $15: http://www.irdroid.com/
The first three options, you still have the problem of capturing the codes, so you have to hope it's in the database of an app like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tiqiaa.remote or the irdroid app etc.
