You can search classic blocks games in Google Play or try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.classicblocks.brick. It's in English, has classic controls where you tap the buttons (left, right, spin, down), and has option for leaderboard (must sign in to Google for leaderboard I think).
Like /u/ZachBeeHD said, work towards getting better. This could be by working towards a better score in marathon, or you could check out other game modes if that interests you. Here's a list of possible things you could do:
Edit: Just wanted to add, great job on clearing Marathon!
Edit2: Added T-Spin disclaimer for Marathon scoring
I have been developing the game off and on for the past 3 years. I been inspired by several games including tetris.

Mods: I read the content policy but didn't find anything about not allowed to post info about my own content. And I think the info about this game is relevant to the tetris community. But if you don't agree you can remove the post.
Someone was plugging Falling Lightblocks yesterday. I tried it sans controller and it was okay but I hooked up a gamepad today and I got lost in it for about an hour if that's any consolation. It reminds me most of NES Tetris but with hard drops and a hold button. Granted I have only ever consistently played NES Tetris and Nullpomino Zone Mode so i can't compare it to something like TGM. I recommend it though. I think the touch controls on the EA version are smoother so take that with a grain of salt if you are only doing touch controls.
EDIT: Here's a link to it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.golfgl.lightblocks&referrer=utm_source%3Drtetris
Thanks, I found it here for anyone interested:

(UK link, sorry)
I made a fumen of the credits roll as well as gave it a custom alias so the url looks nice. There are stats at the end. Ten tetrises and no holes during a qualifying exam is nuts.
Tetris version played on championships is NES/Famicom Tetris, the best option is to download an emulator it's much more responsive than online ones, im using Mesen (https://www.mesen.ca/) and it works very well, you will need also a .nes game file (https://www.emulatorgames.net/roms/nintendo/tetris/ for example)
And you will be good to go ;)
Everything from here is fine: https://code.google.com/p/nullpomino/
From the doc:
[Starting a server] You can run a server by simply double-clicking "netserver.bat" if you are using Windows. But the port number is fixed to 9200, which is a default one. If you want to change the port number you can use the following command: For Windows: netserver.bat [PORT NUMBER] For Linux/MacOS: ./netserver [PORT NUMBER] Optionally, there is a second argument to pass in the path of the server configuration file.
It is available in NZ but if you are on android you can use this apk to play.
Update: It seems the apk is out of date or Tetris Royale has protection of some sort, but it forces you to update, it takes you to the play storr, and you can't update unless you're from NZ; dissapointing but not surprising. =\
just show off my gameboy flash cart that was made with information from the internet. The main point, which I'm sure most all of you caught, is the effect playing a game on level 9 has compared to level 0. The intensity makes it easier to focus rather than just being barely engaged with 0's speed.
I definitely know what you are talking about. Due to the 7-bag randomization that modern games have, it's definitely possible, but it's not very useful, sadly.
I've definitely seen an infinite stack like this before so this is nothing new.
https://kotaku.com/you-can-keep-a-game-of-tetris-going-forever-heres-how-487425871
But nice try for putting in the effort though
Cool thanks!
I'm considering adding configurations for the controls where delays on keypresses and speeds can be configured.
Thanks for the tip for the randomizer! Right now I'm using the built in 'random' of underscore - which is not very random at all!
SN30 Pro Plus is the best controller for Tetris 99.
I play jstris with a controller, specifically this reproduction sega saturn controller
Up: hard drop
Left/Right: move
Down: Soft drop
A:rotate counter clockwise
B:rotate clockwise
C: hold
Start: Restart game
and if I was playing Tetris Effect I would bind L or R to zone.
You are not alone, there is a demand for on screen buttons.
You can switch falling lightblocks to use on screen buttons and it has two multiplayer modes.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.golfgl.lightblocks
Hmm, I wasn't aware of any paid mobile Tetris-- I have this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.game.tetris2011_na
Falling Lightblocks has three button control modes: two on screen button modes for portrait and landscape each, or real button control by connecting a game controller.
Hard drop and hold is supported.
Check out my game Falling Lightblocks. It is with gesture controls and not with on screen buttons. I made it to have Tetris always with me.
If you have a phone with infrared and you need to use the remote for some reasons you can use this app.
Honestly i don't remeber how i was able to find the working config but is there somewhere.
If you're talking about the swipe controls in Tetris by PlayStudios, they can be switched to a more conventional gamepad style in the settings on the top of the home screen, next to your profile.
Honestly for nes it seems like so much of the techniques are just about how to handle the controller, and if you ever want to be competitive you're going to have to use a stock nes controller. If you want to be serious about it, I would recommend using a nes to usb adapter and an actual nes controller. If you don't have interest in being competitive, I don't think you need any special controller. I personally prefer to play on keyboard, but I am sure any controller that works with your computer would be fine (I use an xbox controller for most pc games).
Yeah if you want to be sure of no cramping then get the 8BitDo Pro 2 Bluetooth Controller for Switch/Switch OLED, PC, macOS, Android, Steam & Raspberry Pi (Gray Edition) - Nintendo Switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XY8H9D5/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_N76N420MM8VB83AGYKXR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 cause it has the handles on it just like a PS4 controller or like joycon grip
Honestly I would recommend you switch to a dpad controller cause you'll be much faster and way more precise then analog still will ever be for puzzle games. If you want a controller that works on switch and PC I'd recommend the 8Bitdo Sn30 Pro Bluetooth Gamepad (G Classic Edition) - Nintendo Switch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GKLG3ZP/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_JYNVCDAZ6CWTXAF09465?psc=1 it's the one I use and I love it. It's basically a super Nintendo controller with analog sticks.
you should find the coupon here: https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/promotion/mega-sale
once claimed it will automatically activate during checkout. You will see the price change before paying. Enjoy!
PS: I also got it for that price, it's a fun game!
But with customization it becomes necessary to have 64-bit integers. If the scoring system supports negative scores, the integers are signed, otherwise they are unsigned. It gets even more complicated with scoring systems; if the game were to simulate Tetris Brick (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/214761573/) then to handle the exponential increase the score would have to be at least a double, preferably a long double.
Check the archive.org link I posted above. There you can play it in browser without installing anything. You just have to press the big "Click to begin" button.
Well, using Windows 3.xx in DosBox is a little complicated. I have done it in the past by using the download in the first post of this thread.
It might be a problem with twitch, but I would recommend joining the CTM discord server to get pinged there. It's also a great place to get involved in the community and even compete yourself.
That video looks more than fishy, but a real Nintendo emulator that I believe can already handle this game exists (Super Mario Odyssey is fully playable on it, for instance). It's called Yuzu. Here's the link to their website. Also take a look at the sub: /r/yuzu/
I don't use an Xbox One controller but I do use joytokey https://joytokey.net/en/ when I play tetris. Since it just takes your controller input and turns it into key presses it'll be compatible with all the other pc tetris games whether it's a browser version like tetris friends or an actual program like nullpomino
Just to add onto the above, their's 2 versions of DS4Windows out there. Here's the version that's maintained and works fine for me with Tetris Effect: Connected.
If you're getting prompts to allow Admin access whenever you plug your controller in go to the 'Settings' tab and disable 'Hide DS4 Controller'. Will let you get back into the action quicker if you accidently disconnect your cable. :)
Hi! If turning off reprojection doesn't work, shoot us an email at the bottom of this page and we can look into it for you https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/tetris-effect/faq
If you haven't purchased the paid version of EAtris before, here's another method, courtesy of u/j1ggl:
1) Find an IPA of the paid version of the game.
2) Sideload it into your iDevice using a special utility such as AltStore.io.
Android is more straightforward:
1) Find an APK of V2.0.22 of the game.
2) Run the package and install it.
Note that you'll not need to turn off wireless networking on your devices in order for the game to work using these methods.
I see you haven't played against MisaMino. It's modern rules though. I guess the best bot which will arises from this AI competition is also on par with an excellent Tetris players.
To answer the original question: Bots are able to survive millions of pieces, human players are able to survive million of pieces (if the gravity doesn't kick in), so a competition where your goal is to survive as long as possible or score as high as possible (without a piece limit) makes no sense. If you take it to VS Tetris (garbage lines sent for making big line clears), then a human would be slightly better with only one preview, but would be worse with let's say 5 previews (because the AI can go through all possibilities and find weird looking moves that turn out great).
Tetris for PS3 allowed 2P Battle, as well as 3P and 4P, and Shared Matrix Mode, but in 2014, it was removed from the PlayStation Store and replaced by Tetris Ultimate and Puyo Puyo Tetris... But. If you have a 4-Core PC, or a Gaming PC, and more than 1 PlayStation 4 Controllers, you can play again but in your PC with RPCS3, I'll send the Links you need to have Tetris PS3 in your Laptop, batter a Laptop because you can connect it to the TV like a Real PS3:
https://www.amazon.com/BITTBOY-V2-Emulator-Handheld-Console-Multiple/dp/B07NQPMDLT/
here you go bro, hope it gets back in stock or you can find it in another marketplace. It’s known as BittBoy / PlayGo V3.5
oh sorry. I am not living in U.S. but I could find this link: https://www.amazon.com/BITTBOY-V2-Emulator-Handheld-Console-Multiple/dp/B07NQPMDLT/
it says out of stock but you know the drill, some other sites must have it so good luck finding it 🙏
Go all out and get a console. The Retron AV is only $14 right now and depending on where you are, you can get a fat CRT really easily. You can play on a normal TV, but I highly recommend you get a CRT, especially for DAS.
If you want to play moder*n* Tetris on Android, you can download the offical APP from the android play store
FYI: The EA Tetris-APP does not exist anymore because it service ended so its download.

I hope I could help you
official tetris apps on mobile are curently trash, i suggest you falling lighblocks as a valid alternative, you can use a controller on it too
It is for smart phones, I published in google playstore, it's coming soon on ios too. I would like to publish on pc but coloris is too simple and featureless for pc.
EA Tetris. It won't be available anymore after the 21st of April, 2020. It's already gone from the app/play store, you can't find it anymore. But luckily I found it in the play store and copied the link. So, you can get this game here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.game.tetris2011_row
Edit: Nevermind, it's really gone now. So, link doesn't work. Just brings you to a 'not found' error page.
Falling Lightblocks should be able to do it. I have no Blackberry key or another device with built-in keyboard, but if I connect a Bluetooth keyboard to my normal Android device it works. If it's not working with your integrated keyboard, please come back to me.
I throw in my own client Falling Lightblocks. Three different touch control schemes, controller support, turn based and real time multiplayer as well as modern and classic gameplay supported.
Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.golfgl.lightblocks
It's available for iOS, too.
I know this is an old thread, but I did find this link to Amazon which lists the vinyl version. It states a release of may 17th 2020. Granted, this could be a placeholder date, but given the timing of this human malware pandemic It wouldn't surprise me if it gets pushed back.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083XVFHTM/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_T9ESEbH2X6G9V
Hello, I searched Tetra Classic and find this game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fun.puzzle.brickclassic.tetrisgame
I think this might not be the one you mentioned since it has a lot of ads, also rotation of blocks is not following official guidelines. Can you share the link of that game? Thanks!
AmazonBasics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F5CKWBA/?&ref=flgs_ip_share
It is a little big but it works. I ordered a different one from Ali express. If it is great I will post it here.
https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-Faceoff-Wired-Controller-Faceplates/dp/B073X3GHHX
It's also got two large "paddle" buttons on the back of the grips that you can remap to any other button (no macros). So you can put hard drop on one of those, if you don't like using up on the d-pad, for example.
Surprisingly, you can actually play TGM and TAP using MAME4droid (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seleuco.mame4droid). It works pretty well but TAP does run at the incorrect framerate.
Global and pvp, but it was a bot I was playing against a bot.
Well perhaps you've seen I made a local pvp version for Android. If you can grab your hand on two Android devices, check it out. I can even compile it for iOS, but I am not sure if it is worth the risk to pay Apple $100 and get rejected for being to similar to ... erm, Tetris.
You gave me the last impulse to add this mode to Falling Lightblocks new v1.2.1824. Would greatly appreciate some feedback, because me, I don't use such a mode and therefore cannot say if it is good the way I made it.
On desktop you can play the webgame, or download the Android beta or opt-in to the beta channel on Google Play.
It is even better if you don't use on screen buttons, but gesture controls where you never miss the right spot to touch. A lot of players of Falling Lightblocks reached level 15 this way, and all levels have the speed of the NES version!
Yes, but not the emulator. Try out my version Falling Lightblocks (it is NES) and please sign in to Google Play to get your score posted on the public leaderboard.
The same version can be had on Android using the Play Store. I'd agree that it's probably the best official iteration of Tetris on mobile, with the caveat that the game is a chore at best when using touch-screen controls.
Going off of /u/Im_French's suggestion of an emulator, I've had good experiences with playing NES Tetris using the on-screen gamepad. If EA's version of Tetris isn't your speed, that might be something to consider.
