Simple Workout Log, it's lightweight, fluff free, and it can export all data as .csv which I import to excel for the overviews, graphs, totals and other stuff.
To get ideas, look at the book Women's Health Big Book of Exercises It has a nice variety of exercises for nearly all muscle groups plus pictures to demonstrate (yes, there's also a men's version)
I tack my exercises using the app Simple Workout Log It's free on the Google Play Store but I don't know if they have a version for iPhones. It's really easy to use.
/u/throwawayso30 do you or anyone else have any suggestions for a female newbie? Thanks :)
Whatever program you use, I highly recommend the website simple workout log They have an app from the Google play store and are working on one for iPhones.
It is really easy to use and track your workouts. Check it out.
I use Simple Workout Log on Android. Does both cardio, and all different weight exercises, with a simple UI and all the features I need. I'm sort of locked-in to that app because my last few months are already stored in that app (although I think it does have export as csv). What does your site do differently that is worth me switching?
Also, your FB app is still in development mode, so "Log in with FB" doesn't work for anyone that isn't an app admin/tester.
I love tracking apps for anything. I use Simple Workout Log for lifting and it's great! Simple, no clutter, robust, and is more than capable for tracking lifting and cardio. Give it a go, I'm going to try Progression myself to see how it compares.
EDIT: Just checked it out. It's a good app, and I like the interface, but I personally don't like pre-filled databases of exercises (and you can't summarise correct form in a short paragraph for the compound lifts) and the fact I can't delete the in-built workouts (this is only a minor annoyance). I'll stick with Simple Workout Log for its simplicity and easier, more intuitive, navigation. Its workout schedule is just as easy to use although you can't pre-define the number of sets or reps which isn't a problem if you're advanced enough to not use the Stronglifts app.
"Simple Workout Log"
It is super simple, I can customize my program super easily, and you can export the data.
For weights, I use "Simple Workout Log". I LOVE it for keeping track of my weight workouts! As the name implies, it is very easy to use. You just enter the name of the exercise and add reps and the weights as you complete them. You can easily change the number of reps or the weight during the training session. When you are done and want to move on tot he next exercise, just hit the button. It also has a timer and it is easy to edit if you make a mistake. It has built-in exercises but it is very easy to add ones.
It is free but is only available on the Google Play store They have been saying for a while that it will "be available for iOS soon" but... I highly recommend giving it a try.

I love this app, you add your own exercises and categories. Has other cool features like a weight calculator and timer for rests.
There's Simple workout , which remembers what you did last time, so if you're doing the same every time you can just hit done when you've done your exercise and log it, and it's a good reminder of what you did when you come to do it again.
Simple Workout Log - minimalistic enough that it's good for anything you want to log. It's basically electronic pen and paper for lifting and/or cardio with an ability to plot your numbers across time.

If you sync it with their servers you can browse your data from a browser as well (although this is in beta)
Is use simple workout log as the name suggests it is a simple design to log your workouts. There are built in exercises as well as the ability to add new ones and then you just create your own training days and add the exercises into the appropriate day. I like it.
Simple Workout Log
Add your own excercises and u can log the sets and reps. And minimalistic like u want

I absolutely love tracking and documenting my progress.
I keep my food journal on MFP here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/profile/krstnlndsy - my diary is completely open, so feel free to look if you want
My Fitbit is here: https://www.fitbit.com/user/3QK7FM - I usually keep this linked with MFP, though recently the calories added from exercise spiked. I don't know if their algorithm changed or what, but I disconnected the two recently because it was throwing me off!
I track my weight lifting progress with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.selahsoft.workoutlog&hl=en (called "Simple Workout Log" on the Google Play store, if the link doesn't work).
And I track my progress in dance with a journal. After each practice, I take 10 minutes to write down what I did well on, what was difficult, and sketch a few pictures of what my goal was with the shape.
I use one called Simple Workout Log it's better than other ones on the play store but still has limitations

I'm have tried several ones, but sticked to this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.selahsoft.workoutlog Free version is OK, pro version without ads.
Simple Workout Log hath been a humble accomplice in providing bare bones fitness tracking with no gimmicks.
