turn on monitoring and see what app is using your battery. get rid of those apps. for me it's been showbox and amazon apps that run way too much in the background

The paid version can do monitoring over time and can filter down to the process level. An investment, sure, but I think it's damn useful to have a tool like this.
Kodi and Instagram throw app native library errors on startup but seem to work without any problem.
SystemPanel only displays itself in the running apps list.
Edit: The best thing about this version of Android is the app optimization after an update goes by so much faster than before.
Edit 2: Soundcloud does the same as Kodi/Instagram
I am coming from Note 7. They told me one of the (few) advantages of the S7 Edge over the Note 7 was it's much better battery. Well, I never saw that :-(
I have now spent 4 or 5 days trying to find the cause why "Android System" on this garbage phone almost always drains more battery than the display that is smaller than the Note 7. I am on the fence to return this phone.
I tried everything:
I bought the app System Panel Task Manager which is one of the last Task monitor apps which can show running processes and their CPU impact since the Lollipop handicapping of Android (I hate Google for the iphonification of Android) . It can even break up "Android System" to its components. Only to find that the culprit is "system_sever" which is running all the time:
What is causing system_server to run all the time? I tested everything suggested in various forums:
Nothing helps.
I had all of these and more turned on the Note 7 and I got 5-6 hours of SOT.
I was promised to get 7-8 on the S7 Edge. I get 2-3 at best. This is the worst phone I ever had in terms of battery life.
I am so happy with this I paid for the pro version: SystemPanel App / Task Manager
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.systempanel.r1 is way more usefull for that
Install something like system panel and see what's eating up your cpu cycles.
