This app will let you manage torrents on your desktop client from your phone. You simply open the torrent in transdrone and it will start downloading in your desktop client just like you opened it there. The desktop client should have options for remote connections so you'll be configuring the client and the app. It should be pretty self explanatory.
If you want to be able to use it off of the same local network you'll need to set up your router to forward whatever port your using to your computer. And then have transdrone connect to your outside IP.
It depends of your personal use. If you are only into seeding go for rTorrent (ruTorrent is just a web interface). If you are going to be only adding torrents try Transmission.
Moreover, there are a few key differences to be aware of (found this on another relatable thread):
Transdrone a Transmission (and others) torrent client remote. I can browse through torrents on internet on the toilet and add them to download queue on my server. I've been using it daily for past 3 years.
What you could do, which is a bit of a hack and assuming you are running Android, is setting up Transdrone. You can connect it to your torrent and then every time a torrent finishes it will notify you about it. Here's a guide on how to do it.
I switch between Tornado and Transdrone (which has a material theme now, screenshots are old). Both are very good and free anyway
Transdrone is a popular remote client (supports all major desktop clients) but it does not support labels either. Maybe this is a technical limitation.
I can confirm that Transdrone works great with uTorrent 2.2.1. This is the checksum of build 25302 (so you can avoid downloading scum).
Transdroid has been working for me, still receives updates and also works with different torrent clients such as Ktorrent
It's named Transdrone now, but yeah, I agree. Vuze Remote is pretty good too, assuming you use Vuze that is.
A bit late but here is my experience.
You can install Deluge on it and use something like Transdrone to remotely connect and start torrents on the raspberry pi.
Yes, there should be one deluged and one deluge-web. I guess you have it working now, right? If you have an external accessible IP and port you can use an app on Android called Transdrone. There should be one on iOS as well for sure. I use it to add torrents and to check the status a lot easier, even when I am in front of a browser.
Not sure if they allow organizing, but there are two clients for rtorrent on android that I'm aware of:
Transdrone - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.transdroid.lite&hl=en_US
Transdroid - https://www.transdroid.org/
Take a look...
I ultimately decided not to use the Nexus Player for torrents. I ended up using Transmission for LibreELEC on my Dell Optiplex 3020 small form factor PC. Aside from Transmission's web interface, the Transdrone app for Android also allows me to load torrents and control Transmission.
I've had a good experience using TransDrone with rTorrent on a seedbox. It supports flinging torrent and magnet urls to a whole bunch of different torrent clients (qBittorrent among them). I'll readily admit that it can be a bit of a pain in the butt to setup initially though.
I use transdrone, and it supports a ton of different BT clients.

I use it with Deluge, both over local network and remote.
If you have an android. The server details will be unique to your server set up but I am sure you can apply generic info.

You can do the same with Transmission. And the client is available in qt or gtk versions. I personally find the qt version more stable, but ymmv. And there is a Transmission-qt version for Windows that also allows you to connect to a Transmission "server" on another PC.
I use Transmission-qt on my Windows HTPC and my other Linux computers, and Transdrone on my Android phone and tablets.
I used to use Deluge for this reason, but Deluge is a bit bloated when compared to Transmission. And as soon as Transmission added the client/server functionality, I made the switch and haven't looked back. I have far fewer problems with Transmission than I ever did with Deluge.
Agreed. Deluge does some strange things and I find it to be more bloated and unstable than Transmission (Deluge used to be amazing, but it has gone downhill in the past 4 years). Ever since Transmission added the client/server functionality that I valued so much in Deluge, I made the switch. And I couldn't be happier.
I have Transmission running on my headless Debian box, and I use Transmission-qt on my Windows and Linux PCs (in client mode) and Transdrone on my phone. They all give native magnet link functionality which is great.
I love flexget. Running flexget and Transmission on a headless Linux box is awesome. And then Transmission lets you connect to this server version from another PC, so it functions just like you are using it on the same PC, even intercepting and loading magnet links from a client PC that will be downloaded on the server.
I never use the web interface. I just have Transmission-qt installed on my Windows HTPC and my other Linux desktops and laptops. (For Linux, I have found the qt version to be more stable than the gtk version, but that could vary with different setups or distros.)
Also, there are apps for iOS and Android that connect to Transmission as well. I use Transdrone on my Android phone and tablets. And it even handles magnet links and torrent files natively. Just tap and choose to open with Transdrone. (Note: Transdrone was originally named Transdroid, so you may still see references to this name if you go to read up on it.)
For the lazy:
>Disconnect pro
Disconnect is a browser extension that "protects you from tracking, malware, and malvertising, and offers secure Wi-Fi and bandwidth optimization features", and Privacy Pro is their app that does much of the same by "routing your traffic through a limited VPN that blocks trackers (but doesn’t route all your traffic nor change your IP address), which the app automatically sets up for you with a tap.". It costs $40 outright (though iTunes lists it as $25), or $5 monthly.
>mobdro
"Mobdro is a tool that constantly looks for free video streams available on the web and makes them accessible on your mobile device." Looks relatively new.
>Showbox, terrariumtv
Also streaming apps, look like Popcorn Time alternatives. Have heard good things about Terrarium (mostly direct links, not torrents, etc.)
>MX Player's AIO codec pack
If this is what I think it is, it gives you DTS and AC3 support, which MX can't include by default because legal issues. Find it here.
Remote client torrent management. Has a less featured version on the Store.
Linkme: transdrone

If you are on android I used an app called transdrone which is compatible with download station.
Try Transdrone or Flud.
Also, check the entire list for best torrent android apps here.
the compatibility of it with transdrone is what really sells it for me
At first I thought you meant Transdrone until I saw Transdroid. What is the difference? They look the same...
Edit: answering my own question, according to this the "Play Store version will not included torrent search and RSS feeds."
In that case Openelec+Transmissionservice would be perfect.
Start by downloading Openelec
Then just put the image on your SDcard (with Win32DiskImager).
Insert SD and power on the PI.
Install unofficial addon repo: go settings -> add-ons -> get add-ons -> openelec os add-ons -> add-on repository -> unofficial add-ons -> install -> -> .. -> .. -> unofficial openelec addons -> context menu -> force refresh (Source: http://unofficial.addon.pro/)
Install transmission service: Go into unofficial addons (after force refresh) --> Services --> Transmission --> Install --> ... --> Configure Change the download location (be sure to pick a location other then your SD card, like an USB drive)
Then you can access transmission by going to <rpi IP-address>:9091 (so for me it's 192.168.0.20:9091). There are also plenty of applications for both iOS and Android that can do this (i use Transdrone)
When the torrent has finished downloading it should appear in Kodi under files.
Good luck!
Edit: Note that the image is for Pi2. For other images: http://openelec.tv/get-openelec
Transdroid on Android.
Alternatively, Transdrone (Transdroid without the search feature) is available in the App store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.transdroid.lite
I use transdrone to send torrent files to my qbittorrent client.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.transdroid.lite
tTorrent can be controlled remotely with the Transdrone app. I tried it out earlier today and it seems to be working.
Transdrone:

Transdroid is the same plus search engine, which is why it is not on Play.
Deluge have a torrent client for remote management. There is an android app too
You can do that with Deluge then access it from Transdrone
Yup. That app you mention and Transdrone work great on Android for managing torrents from mobile.
Use transdrone on your phone.
