I am trying to find an app to teach me how to play guitar. Ideally, it has the ability of scrolling songs and showing the notes/chords to play, and can listen to my guitar and give feedback if I am playing correctly or not.
There is an app that does this perfectly called Yousician, but the app is pretty expensive (and not a one-time fee) with constant long ads you cannot skip. Really makes playing hard to get in a rhythm.. Would love an alternative to this app.
Yousician for those interested: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yousician.yousician
If there is no way for you to get a teacher you can use apps like Yousician as an alternative way. It teaches you to play by sheet music step by step with classical and/or pop music. It does need a subscription but you can test it for a week and its significantly cheaper than getting a teacher.
Watch out for your posture though and check on it regularly, as you don't have a teacher that can spot mistakes in your bench, body, arm or hand position. Here's a video on that. Posture is extremely important because ignoring it leads to bad, stiff playing, early fatigue and after a while possibly injury.
I started about a month ago and have been using the Yousician app. It has a limited free version and the premium monetization is kind of predatory and relatively expensive at 20€/month (but you'll probably get only a month or two of use out of it).
It has a nice video game-like feel to it which really helped to keep me engaged. It teaches you a mix of theory and technique while gradually increasing the difficulty. With the simple basslines, backing track and tempo control you'll feel like you're playing actual music relatively fast. Not to mention the immediate, interactive feedback which I found really helps with the learning in the beginning.
This is what I've been doing since July when I bought my first guitar. I don't do it daily, there's just no time for that but I do it every second day, sometimes multiple days in a row. For an additional learning help I'm using Yousician which offers about an hour (? not sure tbh, sometimes I stay in one song for 45 minutes and the game only tells you that the time is over when trying to start a new song) for free every day.
It's fun and you can see your progress after every training session and when you're trying to learn a new chord and struggle with it, the next day the same chord becomes a lot easier because of your muscle memory.
I think the hardest part is to find a beginner friendly entry when trying to learn something new, the app helped a lot. So far I can play some lead, some chords (E,Em,A,Am,D,C,F) and some powerchords but still quite the basic. The moment you can play your first song without the help from apps or guides is really something.
I recommend getting yousician or a similar app. If you go premium you have to pay per month but you can use the free version about an hour every day which is enough (that's what I do). I'll use this to get into chords and practice my hand positioning. It's a great app, it's as if you would play guitar hero.
I'm also planning on getting rock smith on steam at some point.
For guitar: Not a game per se, but I recently stumbled over Yousician for Android (I believe there's a iPhone-App too) and it looks very promising.
It's like Guitar Hero, only that it uses your phone's mic and you actually play on a guitar. Additionally it has video lessons, content is split up in different learning paths, which get more demanding step-by-step.
I only used it for a few days now, but it looks really promising. Unfortunately, it's not completely free (duh), but you get free lesson time every day. I'm on a pretty busy schedule anyhow so I'm actually cool with this, as I can use up my lesson time and practice some songs I personally want to be able to play right after that for a little. I wouldn't have more time than this anyhow.
I can't use it more than 10 minutes a day i need a subscription so can you mod it?
You can try Yousician It has support for learning many different instruments including Guitar. It also has different sections and levels for practice. It provides different tracks for learning like in Guitar there is Rhythm , Rock , Music theory etc. It has social features like share, follow friends etc. Overall it's pretty good. It has a free period where you can try it and then you have to pay a reasonable fee for accessing premium content. I tried it for a month to learn guitar from scratch and found it very useful. Will be getting back to it very soon.
Definiere "erfolgreich" :)
Was bedeutet für dich teuer?
I've been using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yousician.yousician to learn, and it's been helpful. There's lots of free options out there, and this one only nags you to pay a bit. It's helped me get from almost nothing to can slightly play a few notes on the guitar.
> I'm already into sneakers, computers, and listening to music.
Make music!
Seriosuly, if you like music, maybe it's a good option to learn an instrument. I've started learning the acoustic guitar in july and I'm still going, it's a hell lot of fun to just play around for a couple of minutes a day. I'm also using Yousician to learn chords and stuff, premium costs monthly but I'm playing in free mode which you can do for about an hour a day and that's enough imo when you want to practice and when the free time is up, you can just strum around on your own.
That's my statement for your question but like other's have said, maybe getting a career and moving would be best if you don't see the future you want in this town.
Yousician is a paid app that teaches how to play the instruments and also has a version of sheet music-it's not exactly sheet music but it has the notes you play in the sing format and will listen to the notes as you play. Tab also has the chords and notes shown on the fretboard and listens to the notes as you play. Both have been helpful in learning how to play for piano, bass, and guitar.

I've been using this app. In all honesty, the daily practice time isn't long enough. I've bought a months licence as I skipped a guitar lesson so the money would have gone on guitar anyway.
Being able to use it unlimited is awesome.
Youtube, and there are alot of apps on the appstore that may be able to teach you. Yousician is one i think https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yousician.yousician

I've been really enjoying the free trials of Yousician. It's not great, but it always has something new and challenging for me to play (once I leveled up to my level).
If you use it, be sure to go rapid fire through the 'learn' tab, as it set up for beginners. I also use a pocket amp and line splitter so that it can hear me clearly no matter what.
