this is what i use. it's kind of like Vaseline, leaves a thick layer of moisture on for an extended period of time.

Last time I bleached my hair I was at one of my higher points, I've got really dark brow/red hair and decided to do so well before relaxing it. My hair had finally grown back out from a different bleaching incident (relaxed it too soon, became little bill for most of the year) and I decided since it was healthy enough and still natural that I'd take the chance with a split dye. Oh dear lord I wish I hadn't. My hair had finally started reaching the back of my neck again on the unprocessed side, and the bleached one may as well have just been cut by kindergarteners with how much had fallen out.
Granted, I didn't use professional grade bleach, I used the vegan bleach thingy-kit from Walmart. Y'know, the pink box and it's got it's cute little color tube thingies, I'll possibly edit with a link. It felt like straw afterward no amount of deep conditioning, gentle brushing, greasing of my scalp or anything would stop the breakage. Even continuing after I'd trim my ends to make it even again. While the right side grew, the left would stay almost stationary it'd seem, even though I'd see my roots growing out.
My left shoulder and that side of my neck felt like it was in a snow globe compared to the right side whenever I'd go to comb or style it. I couldn't take it anymore, shaved my sides and have yarn locs now to protect it from the cold and damage that I've done. Long story short, bleaching was nowhere near a good idea for me to do, that's just my experience. That coupled with hair loss this gives doesn't seem like the greatest plan because the cons outweigh the pros imo. Now, if you want vibrant color that isn't gonna harm you and your hair there's those cream semis that you don't need to bleach for whatsoever, those might be a good fit, I'm not sure.

I know this is a really sucky thing and nothing I say can make you feel better…
I will tell you at least, if you normally shave body hair, think about how fast that usually comes back. Your hair will grow back too if you nourish yourself, especially proteins and healthy fats (salmon is pretty awesome).
Also, when you are feeling up to it, maybe check out Amazon for cheap but highly rated wigs. And the way I figure it, if the wig is gonna look a little fake anyway, why not own it and just go with something really fun and cosplay-ish? Like I like this pink one with darker pink streaks: aiyaya Long Curly Wig - Natural Synthetic Hair Lolita Wigs with Wig Cap For Cosplay and Daily Wear (Pink Red Ombre) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RMF8MQN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_9STFP2EJZ7GRMA71PY10?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
So maybe if there is some way to have fun with wigs and fashion while you recover? To try to reframe it not as a loss, but an opportunity to try something new. Like you might NEVER be able to bleach/dye your hair enough times to try all the different colours, and not to mention the styles… So maybe if you could look at this as a chance to experiment?
Idk if that helps… But it’s what I do when I am stuck in a situation and forced to find a silver lining.
Try to get at least 10,000 mcg per day. It’s hard to get too much biotin — just make sure to stop taking it three days before any blood tests because it can fuck up labs.
I bought this one, but I have no idea if it’s legit. I expect name brand is probably better. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PP31LC8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_SzpLLOCjsBSff
These symptoms are very very VERY normal, perfectly normal. They suck, but after torturing your body for so long, this is how it feels to try to heal it. Keep going, it's worth it! I recommend buying the book "Rehabilitate, Rewire, Recover!: Anorexia recovery for the determined adult" by Tabitha J Farrar. It's a long book, but you won't be able to put it down. It goes through absolutely everything you need to know about recovery and it's really well written. I'm not sure of your age but if you aren't an adult, that's okay the book is titled for adults but would be just as helpful to anyone at any age with an ED of any kind. It's definately been the most helpful part in recovering for me, much more than the expensive ED specialized therapy my fiance put me in. This book is everything.

Discreet would be more along the lines of an app or something you can access that other people are less likely to find unless you let them. One I am going to be trying soon is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.recoveryrecord, and a lot of the reviews give me hope that it may be a great way to learn better coping when you don't have access to immediate care. 💕 You are cared about; I truly hope this gets easier for you.
