>The duty of a police officer is to enforce the law (a lot of the time, no violence is necessary for police action). The duty of the military is national defense. The applications of their jobs are different. Militarizing the police means to make the police into soldiers instead of law enforcement.
No. It means having them take on certain aspects relating or pertaining to the military. I outlined several for you. Here is the Wikipedia article. Here is the definition of 'Militarizing'.
>Militarization: To equip or train for war.
They certainly are being equipped and trained for war.
>The military presence in Afghanistan keeps the violence within the region.
This is a different argument than claiming that the war is "coming to an end".
200,000 acres sounds a bit much. Let me look at that. The entire planet has 36,794,240,000 acres of land. [1]
Only 6% of the earth is covered in rainforest.
"Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6% and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years." [1]
So that is 2,207,654,400 acres of rainforest on earth currently.
And at a rate of 200,000 acres a day, that leaves us with 11,038 days left with rainforest on this planet. Or in other words, 30 years... so yeah apparently it's about 30-40 years until we are out of rainforest.

This is not the result of an Anonymous action. From the Techcrunch article: "A member of Anonymous known as AnonymousOwn3r is claiming responsibility, and makes it clear this is not an Anonymous collective action."
and
"AnonymousOwn3r’s bio reads “Security leader of #Anonymous (~Official member~).” The individual claims to be from Brazil, and hasn’t issued a statement as to why GoDaddy was targeted."
There is no such thing as an Anonymous owner and there is certainly no such thing as an official member.
Not sure why i'm even wasting my time with this, maybe i still think you can catch a whiff of reality one day:
meet Pete Musico, charged in the kidnapping plot:
>You can make it to where this is the only gun we have and we will still kick your liberal asses
(the Gab is heavily used by alt-righters and neo-nazies, btw)
meet William Null, charged in the kidnapping plot:
>“We’re peaceful,” William Null told the reporter. “We’ve never harmed anyone. Groups like (Black Lives Matter) have.”
- during an interview while he was protesting the removal of a confederate soldier state. that's some serious BLM support there!
And all these militant leftist BLM supporters somehow all met each other through armed militia training and 2nd Amendment rallies. imagine the odds of that! and all this so they can throw away their lives to kidnap and execute a prominent liberal?
Pull your head out of the sand my man, give your brain some oxygen and rejoin the real world. i know it's in rough shape right now but at least you'll be able to think for yourself again rather than juggling endless lies from corrupt politicians who don't give a fuck about you.
Did you read the full definition of the Merriam Webster you linked?
>b: to obstruct seriously or fatally the normal breathing of
Unless you want to argue that seriously = fatally, you're ignoring things that don't support your own version.
Peer review is to prevent dolts from posting random garbage like this 'paper'.
Do you know why this 'paper' is complete made up garbage?
Its pretty simple... everyone on earth is carrying around a very sensitive magnetometer in their pocket.
Do you know how your phone identifies which direction you're facing? A magnetometer.
I'm vaccinated, let me check if I'm magnetic. Oh look, the compass app still points north, and doesn't just point at me or my arm.
Wow, such science! So amaze! Do I get a Nobel prize now?
>The guys, however, appeared to be crazy, especially laughing maniacally after an apparent warning shot and several warnings.
I have a ten year old that laughs maniacally when playing video games. Do you think he ought to be shot? Because that is what you are saying. That anyone that laughs in a manner that you don't deem quiet enough needs to die.
He left his house to start shit with them. That is how I came at him accosting them. Here is the definition of the word. It says:
>1. To approach and speak to boldly or aggressively, as with a demand or request.
If he didn't accost them, then exactly what are you proposing he did? He went over their will ill intent, or he wouldn't have taken a weapon. I go to my neighbors from time to time, either to tone it down or get their kids out of my yard, I've never felt a need to take a gun with me to do it.,
I just hope he gets what he so soundly deserves. The rest of his life in prison, and his family cursing the day that he made the decision to kill his neighbor.

have you taken advantage of the amazibng dealks of NordVPN? no matter if I want to watch my animays dressed as a slug, screaming toi the heavens, slipping around my apparetment on a thick layer of lube, or if I have something that I want to do that is not totally in the clear, let me make the choice of a VPN provider via which thing I see the most adverts for. No matter if it is a singular point of failiure. because I pay 5,99 buck per month, I can now have peace of mind, because I use a commonly accepted VPN provider.
Exactly what I was thinking, but at the same time, its still kind of neat. I like how it mentions the Concorde so I guess there could be some civilian application? Oh, and on your Africa comment...google
That's a nice little nutshell ya got there, but, when you're ready to be a responsible, self-reliant individual, a smart consumer in the free market of both products and ideas, who looks out for yourself by questioning and testing your ideas, dilligently seeking new information and carefully thinking about it...like believers in capitalism and efficient markets claim we can and should do...then please read or listen to The Fifth Risk. It'll show you all the stuff you're missing.

“There’s nothing to prevent a private body from” blah blah. That’s the same simplistic theory that says consumers have access to infinite time, energy, and rationality. We don’t. Most of us don’t even save enough for our own retirements. (Oh, YOU’RE smart? Well did you push your bank or related companies to avoid selling risky Credit Default Swaps before the 2008 financial crisis? NO, because those arrangements were private SECRETS HIDDEN from you. The government rescued us all.)
In the 1960s, the FAA conducted in-depth studies of innovative seat belts, cabin emergency lighting, floatation devices, oxygen equipment, human factors, etc. etc. etc. The industry dragged its feet, and fought against it. “Too expensive,” they lied.
The internet? PERFECT example of my point: that government and private industry EACH have their own strengths and weaknesses. We need to an intelligent blend of both. While private industry was fooling around with crappy stuff like AOL, CompuServe, and Prodigy, the federal government gave us the internet. Private industry was the right entity to take over. Of course, it all runs on microchips – which were invented by US government funded research during the moon program.
Get over the silly “socialism” label. It blinds you. Read The Fifth Risk. If you're a rational consumer, you will question and TEST your beliefs. But you're probably not rational, which supports my point.
The vast majority of undocumented immigrants are good people trying to make a better life. Instead of punishing them or their employers, how about we stop our stupid big government war on drugs that drives gang violence across the Americas? Just Google "Mexican drug cartel violence" and look at the images that come up. THAT's why they flee their countries and come to the US. LET'S FIX THAT. More walls won't help. End the drug war, like we ended Prohibition in 1933, which caused liquor gang violence to stop overnight. Like alcohol, which is the most dangerous drug, legalize but regulate all the damned drugs. Chasing the Scream explains it well.
Why would the Portuguese government do such a thing, its already proven that vacations improve productivity http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/aug2009/gb20090818_398605.htm

ah they must be getting advise from Goldman-sachs.
Governmental obstruction, preventing someone from moving about the country freely, is a restriction on personal liberty. Having to subject oneself to molestation in the name of security theatre is absolute Bullshit. You are a bad person, and you deserve to hear it.

Because they don't post the same thing 3 times a day for days on end.

Mostly that you appear to act like a rather repetitive racist.

A study titled, “The Economics of Suicide: An Empirical Study of America’s Rising Suicide Rate,” estimates the correlation between unemployment and suicide rates.
According to the 2014 findings, with a “1% increase in the annual unemployment rate, approximately 21 additional suicides per 100,000 of the population can be expected.”
With the current American population estimated to sit at 330 million, that means each 1% increase in unemployment would result in 69,300 new suicides.
With Goldman Sachs predicting a 12% rise in unemployment over the next few months, America could see up to 831,600 additional suicides attributed to job loss.

Yes, they track us, all the time. Where we go, who we chat with, what we read on the Internet, what we buy and what we buy it with. Old news. Now they (Amazon in this particular instance) want to use the data they've got to predict. Where you will go, who you will chat with, what sites you will visit on the web, what you will buy and... And that's the part they want to know so the can 'guide you' to buy the right thing.

SUBVET45, The Bells Toll for Hillary @ Spectator.org
Here's how it works..
1 You create a separate foreign"charity" like the Clintons did in Canada.
2 Foreign oligarchs and Governments donate to the Canadian charity.
3 The charity then makes massive donations to the Clinton Foundation.
4 Canadian law prohibits the identification of individual donors.
5 10% goes to good works programs, the rest goes to the Clintons.
6 The Clinton Foundation finds "clerical errors," and re files 5 years of tax returns.
7 Net result -- tax free and untraceable foreign money goes into the Clinton's pockets.
This is textbook money laundering!
>A principle in the Canadian "charity" is one Frank Giustra who was central to Uranium One, a Canadian company that acquired massive US uranium interests and then sold them to Russia.
>The transaction required US State Department approval .. guess who was Secretary of State when the approval was granted?? ^Hillary:)

After replying, I realized that you are probably not aware of a very important aspect of medica research. Leemon B McHenry wrote a book entitled The Illusion of Evidence-Based Medicine.
Certainly anyone can claim that clinical research is infiltrated with fraudulent results, but what stands out about his book is that he gives specific details of HOW the fraud is committed and cites repeated examples that lists specific companies and specific drugs.
I don't seriously expect that you will read the book, but there is a summary of it in video format where he explains the gist of what is in the book.
The video is HERE

> Sorry - went from penises to politicians - but one could argue those are too often synonyms,
No no, it’s perfectly fine. I get what you’re saying.
>"Its not personal - it's business.”
This though, I wonder if we could turn that around, the next time a CEO of a company that makes life-saving medication jacks up the price by 5000% just because they can, and some father, who lost their child because they simply could not pay for the new price, decides to spend the price of a bullet on the CEO of the company, the last words the CEO hears being “It’s not business, it’s purely personal.”, and then let it be known that the next clown who comes up with the line will wear it as an epitaph.
I am stunned that people are so meek that they allow banks to take away their homes, and let anyone run roughshod over their rights because there is nobody to stand up for them.
Anyway, you got my personal hobby horse out of the stable, I’m going to be nice to myself and not get into the saddle.

Because the ‘being bullied by vile people’ narrative resonates with me, I’m going to leave you with a suggestion, it’s yours to do with as you please. There are ways to make that kind of people pay for it, you only need to find the right leverage ;-)
