This is such a big case of news site making stuff up for clicks.
Guy gets murdered/robbed. Some tabloid "reporter" sees this, sees that he works in a field vaguely related to radiation and isotopes.
So we get headlines that say "guard at nuclear facility shot dead and his security pass stolen" implying that he was on duty at the time, and just completely pulling the fact that the pass got stolen out of their ass. In the body of the article, they throw in details about terrorism and Brussels. They've hit all the buzzwords this week about terrorism and fearmongering, instant front page story.
Fucking liars. Ima try and find the initial report so I can ignore anything that outlet says for the rest of my life.
Edit: First english language source I can find from 9 hours ago, fuck them. "Targeted by terrorists" my ass
First source I can find is La Derniére Huere, a 110 year old daily paper apparently. Well they just lost all credibitilty from me, and they appear to have taken down the initial story. (Someone who speaks languages back me up here cause Im just looking for cognates on their website)
I just looked into it some more, the same paper (and I assume the same authors) also made up the background story that this nuclear facility was being targeted by terrorists weeks ago.
BBC never reported on this at all which confirms that theyre probably the best big name news source out there

>Most leaders don't like that sort of thing.
Except, bizarrely, Philippines "President" Duterte:
Philippines' Duterte likens himself to Hitler, wants to kill millions of drug users
Kinda funny. Turkey has been there since 2014, deployed a base for training of the Iraqi army. Couple weeks later, Iraq pledges for an increasing military cooperation. As such, they initiate an increasing cooperation in phases. As part the various phases, Turkey will increase troops to train the Iraq army. So Turkey initiated the follow up phase, exactly as agreed.
Didn't they already do that?

Those sources conflict with others, sometimes even with their own publications. I looked up employment for refugees in Germany and found these:
In related news from Saturday,
>In a statement from his jail cell in northwest Turkey, Demirtas called for the HDP to prepare "a plan to fight for democracy and peace" in the face of a "political purge".
>"We are experiencing the virtual shutdown of all democratic political channels," he said in a statement read out at the congress to applause from delegates.
>"But whatever happens ... the HDP will not abandon democratic politics, it will insist on non-violent methods to find a solution to political problems," he said.

Sanctions generally consist of preventing mutually beneficial transactions between people/entities in the sender country and their counterparts in the target. The closer the integration, the greater the potential impact from sanctions. This means that the EU is more or less in the driver seat- they can have the biggest impact, but will also suffer most of the costs.
Since sanctions will hurt both parties, the goal can't just be "hurt the target as much as you can", but rather "hurt the target and minimize how much I hurt myself." Thus is why financial sanctions are popular- western capital markets dwarf those of typical targets, so cutting them off hurts them much more than the senders.
I wouldn't interpret Russia's energy exports strictly as leverage. Yes, Russia supplies natural gas and Europe would certainly have to reduce consumption or dip into their stocks if Russia cut off the tap. (I'm not sure how plentiful these stocks are or which countries have them, just that "Europe" has "more than usual.") The other side is that Russia is more or less built on energy exports. Fuels account for some 2/3 of their exports and revenue from fuels supplies 50% of federal revenue (source). And Russia can't instantly start selling gas to other markets for the same reason Europe can't instantly buy US gas- the LNG infrastructure isn't there (that and the need for a permit on the US side). All in all, I'm not sure which side comes out less hurt if the fossil fuel trade is seriously impacted.
In terms of the prospects of sanctions, what do you think the goal is? I suspect that Crimea is more or less lost. But in terms of preventing further expansion, I think sanctions could very well hold the line.
Here's an article from The Daily Beast that's actually longer and much more detailed than OP's, in case anyone wants more info.

"Adverse events" =/= "errors". This also includes (and is predominated by) infections that result during a hospital stay. To characterize all infections as hospital errors is spurious at best.
Should be obvious to anyone to take whatever steps to prevent having a hospital stay in the first place; but once you're there, it is where sick people tend to congregate and infections do happen. And it's only going to get worse as antibiotic resistant bacteria continue to develop due to overprescription of antibiotics.

People have been dooming about that poll that showed that like high approval for Trump and his actions during the riots among republicans, and I remember it was at like 63% for Trump and 61% for Cruz. But that's actually astonishingly low republican approval for Trump, who has always enjoyed sky high republican approval - and Cruz is popular among most conservatives too, so there's not much to that one. More importantly, Hawley was at only like 46% approval.
But there's more.
>This decline in Trump’s support among the Republican elite has been accompanied by some erosion in his backing among GOP voters. In a Politico–Morning Consult poll taken after the Capitol Hill riot, 75 percent of Republican voters said they approved of the job Trump is doing, down from 83 percent in December. A Reuters–Ipsos survey taken during the same period put Trump’s GOP support at 70 percent, an all-time low, and 18 points beneath the peak he’d reached in August.
Not only that, we've got polls for the 2024 GOP primary that we can compare to november - Trump went from 54% to 42%, and Pence went from 12% to 16%, Romney's stock rose, Jr's stock fell, and Hawley wasn't even there.
Like the pace of it or not, these are the trendlines we want to see.
Plenty there for ya to read about your accepting and loving brethren!

Well, there's one. It didn't take that long to find either. Also, the post office brought in a profits before 2006, when Congress passed a law requiring them to fund the next 75 years worth of Healthcare for their retiring employees by 2016 ($5.5 billion a year). That's a huge expense they were burdened with, but even still they do come fairly close to breaking even. Couple that with the fact that Congress tends to meddle with the post office to keep them from competing with private corporations in any meaningful way and it's no surprise they don't make money.

Hell, in 1990 the Trump Organization was $4 billion in debt, with nearly a $1 billion guaranteed by Donald Trump personally to 72 different banks. And he didn't even know he was on the verge of bankruptcy - the banks figured it out. This is one of the first conflicts that social media is actually playing a major role. The rebels have been using Hamas type media tactics. Don't report on your own losses, get international media to homes that have been shelled. Another thing working in their favor is the fact that both sides use the same weapons and vehicles. The Russian column that was destroyed could easily be portrayed as Ukrainian. Think about it, rebels can wander up to destroyed vehicles and take pictures and post them on the internet and literally have no idea they were on their side

But since you're asking about Trump, he has also been accused of violating human rights in a variety of ways. The UN commissioner on human rights said just the other day that the detention of immigrant children is a violation of human rights.
