Sure thing - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QYC85MJ/
Didn't know if people would be interested in it but I love mine. It's actually on sale for 5.99 - I think that's a no brainer even if you'd use it occasionally. I've had it for a month and been gaming on it for a long time.
gotcha that makes sense. artwork is kinda hard because of the small space and angle. I tried both the microsoft surface pen and the microsoft surface pro pen and the pro is a lot more concise, meaning it was more precise to where you put the point.
I would offer, if you plan on not moving around a lot, get yourself a laptop stand like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077B9W343?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
A stand that can really tilt forward a lot. It makes the 2nd screen much more usable. Even if with the lift that asus added to the second screen, it's still sometimes hard to see the stuff on that screen. My laptop is tilted forward so the second screen is basically facing me and the main screen is pushed all the way back so it's vertical also.
Hi. Any surface compatible stylus should work fine.
I got this one on Amazon for $21,99 and I'm very satisfied with it, the right click and erase buttons work fine and depending on the pressure I get thinner or thicker lines, the palm rejection also works.:
I don't use it very often. Depending on what you want to do, maybe a more sophisticated one would be better but, for occasional usage I think this one is good enough.
I use this with mine https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B082D2WT24/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Works well! Great for taking notes if you prefer doing it by hand, and also good for working with small dial's and stuff if your into audio production or video editing.
Noice! Try these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F9MPCKR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Maximize air flow and are discreet. Also makes laptop more usable when using it on the move.
This would've been helpful for me to see before buying. Hoping it helps my fellow recliners :)
I'm planning on getting this one as it's sleeker and more portable Amazon.com: Gomyhom Laptop Stand, Foldable Portable Desktop Computer Laptop Stand, Aluminum Alloy + ABS 6-Level Angle Adjustable Height Laptop Mount, Suitable for All Laptops and Tablets Black: Electronics
the plastic one will less likely scratch the surface of my machine.
Really? The official site states Duo 15 VR ready? Never seen it before could it be the retailer store’s statement?
All duo15’s hardwares are compatible to VRs though, especially it’s Thunderbolt 3 port. I bought the adapter from the first store I found on street. It might be the reason why it’s not working as VRs are quite picky on adapters.
A guy explained and suggested an adapter. You can find his answer here
I'm looking to upgrade for IETS GT500 though (v2, the new one with 5,000 rpm blower):
This has better cooling, noise isolation and dissipation. Check the YT videos :)
Sorry it's a 100W but regardless it works on the laptop just fine for regular use. It plugs into the usb-c slot and is intended for these type of uses. These type of chargers also disable the turbo modes on armoury crate so that the laptop doesn't pull in a deficit and ensures a charge on light, regular usage. Hope this helps.
This https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01697DUN6 is the one I have. I originally bought it for a surface several years back and tried it on the laptop just because I had it.
I would just buy a replacement ssd and remove the ones already in the laptop. You could get a really low storage cheap ssd, insert it into your laptop, and install windows on it. When the laptop comes back, remove the temporary drive. The neat part is that you can get a case thingy which turns the ssd into an external drive with an enclosure such as this.
Assume Duo 16 uses the same brick as the 15SE. I've been using 3 of these ones off Amazon with no issues. If it's a fake, it's at least branded like the legit one and runs just as well.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X5X4662/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Duo does not come with a stylus.
I bought this one for mine though: RENAISSER Stylus Pen for Surface, USB-C Charging, Made in Taiwan, 4096 Pressure Sensitivity, 100% Match Surface Pro X/7/6/5 Magnetic Attachment, Rechargeable, Raphael 520C https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0987J23K1/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_W09DH9AB4PPPRXVE3RN6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Aftermarket pen is pretty equal in quality and may be even better. This one also charges with type c so you don't have to worry about the small ass battery in the Asus pen.
I've mostly used the stylus for note taking and drawing diagrams and other visual aids for class. I don't think it's good enough for any artistic drawing though.
I use the 32" G7 as my external display for the Duo. USB-C to display port.
This is the cable I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J6DT070/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Something like this but mines different. Try a different keyword
Its not available in Canada :( I Might go with this one https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0963HDMJP/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AKXVBT49GGF3B&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X5X4662/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Might be a bit sketchy, but I've been using it for 2 weeks and haven't had any problems with charge rate, power delivery, or excess heat.
This might not be genuine Asus, but if it isn't, it's at least badged identically to the included charger and performs about as well.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089FC1TRF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Personally use this one and have had no problems with it.
So IDK what has been happening on my duo but I found that if I set my main display to an external monitor that I can few all my screens at the same time in oculus link! To make this doable on the go I just bough a display emulator.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C4TWZRM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
This makes my computer think that there is another monitor that is the main display and for some reason makes all my screens viewable from the oculus link! I hope they figure this out in the long term but in the mean time it's a great fix!

https://www.amazon.com/Kingsons-Beam-Backpack-Waterproof-Anti-Theft/dp/B07L9R76W3 Fits perfectly inside and can charge a cellphone in a day of medium light.
Grab a https://ninite.com/ installer with all your favourites :) not specific to the duo though. But general good advice from u/boy2nr patch, update, remove crap such as the store 'games' that come preinstalled.
This is the set I use. Watch some youtube videos if you are determined to try it yourself. Go slow. But I would strongly suggest you let a pro do it.
I have the same device and upgraded my RAM using a single 32 GB stick to replace the replaceable 8 GB stick that's already installed.
I bought this one off Amazon: https://smile.amazon.de/gp/product/B07ZLC7VNH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The manual might specify some lower maximum possible RAM, but this stick works perfectly for me, giving me a total of 40GB of RAM to use now.
In Steam games, F12.
In windows, I use an opensource tool called ShareX (https://getsharex.com/). Ctrl+PrtSc + single left click for easy selection of region or only entire main screen.
I had wondered this too; turns out you can reprogram/remap some of the keys if you download Microsofts' PowerToys, which has a key-remapping feature (download here: https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys).
The annoying thing is that tit only works for the volume buttons for some reason, not any of the other ones...
This is the one I ended up buying: Kingston FURY Impact 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 CL20 Laptop Memory Single Stick KF432S20IB/32, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097QJ74WQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_KV9YSXG6M01P0YSB2AGC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
DP connected to an old Monitor VE248. I got a work laptop and it is fine when the DP to HDMI is plugged to that dock.
But when I use the USB-C to DP 1.4 the DP adapter isn't recognised. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08LGM4B3S/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2YBKRFXOSJ74U&psc=1

According to Requirements:
Minimum: Additional Notes: Available DisplayPort (Version1.2) and USB (2.0+) Port required
Recommended: Additional Notes: Available USB (3.0+) Port required for Headset Pass-Through Camera
1 x DisplayPort 1.2+ for headset display
1 x USB 3.0+ for headset cameras
I would suggest trying out other cables, like this one.
Didn't follow any tips. Just set the asus mode to silence (fn+f5). If you don't have a desktop this is a great start or end really. Just make sure you protect as much as you can in college. Get a foam/padded zipped cover. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Voova-Waterproof-Protective-Detachable-Compatible/dp/B07Q24Y42L/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=15%22+padded+cover+waterproof&qid=1615777760&sr=8-4
I wish I had this in college.
Well, there are tons of choices and copycats. Briefly looking at Amazon, I have this one (from a different manufacturer purchased in 2015 for my old Alienware 17R3): Fosmon 4 Fan Cooling Pad Compatible With 13" to 17-inch Gaming Laptop PS4 MacBook Pro, 1200 RPM Max 75CFM Air Flow, USB Powered Quiet Cooler Fan Portable Stand with Dual 2.0 USB Ports, Blue LED Lights https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PXHKZND/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_BWP2TJQY8JEYKWND36AM
It’s big but works very well.
I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H57W35K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It looks great, and is a perfect fit. It also has a sleeve that's big enough to accommodate a charger.
