Honestly, right now there aren’t enough people to even shadow someone. Cvs sent a HUB task stating that all new hires who work in pharmacy can only do pick up and production…no drop off which makes sense.
I love training people so here is some advice: Learning as you go should be CVS’s motto lol but honestly it’s the best way to learn. However, it’s flu season and fucking misinformation about the booster 😭😑🤬 so it’s gonna get hella stressful but you got this!!
I’m at a 24hr. We do at least 1000 rxs per day. I swear by these:

Sturdier than most. Have been using the same one for almost 2 years now.
We have ladders, but they really aren’t needed on the sales floor. Our gondolas are relatively low and most people can see over them without issue. Some stores may have small step-stools too.
Back rooms vary, but the majority of our overstock is kept on plastic, rollable carts in most, but not all stores. Most stores will have a rollable ladder or Little Giant in the backroom for overhead shelving. Some stores have a loft or basement for overstock with an elevator or conveyor belt to move product up and down. (Not familiar with the sky shelf terminology).

Get your own and engrave it with your name. Someone will end up stealing it or using it to cut cake.
If anyone cuts cake with it, make sure to have a response ready "now go and clean my fucken spatula before i flip this table you stupid bitch"
I bought this but honestly I didn’t really study, other than learning conversions like pound to kg, teaspoon to mLs. I’ve been working at CVS two years and that’s all the experience I really needed. Also, CVS paid for it.

Thank you Doug, you are right I have to be careful what type of qtip I stick up my nose! I think I am going to buy these because they look closer to what I used when I last was at CVS. Expensive little things aren't they!
Thanks for the reply, I am guessing you work with these types of swabs, do you guys buy them from Amazon or a local supplier?
Also is this the product you mentioned that is safe for nasal insertion? https://www.amazon.com/Sterile-Cotton-Applicator-MEDICAL-SURGICAL/dp/B082BGC3CB

there’s tons of free online material (quizlets, youtube videos, etc). just search like top 200 drug flash cards, learn the brand name/generic, indications, major interactions. learn how to solve alligation problems (there’s also lots of practice problems online and youtube vids showing you how to solve them). learn the historic important pharmacy laws. you can also search free ptcb practice exams to get an idea of what material you need to learn
also i used the “PTCB Pharmacy Tech Mastery” app. it’s free and was pretty helpful

That's not a CVS-approved stapler so the staples you get from CVS aren't gonna work. These are the staples for it.
I've personally broken over a half dozen of them myself! In like my first year or so of working at CVS.
You see, I don't always have the hand strength to fully compress the stapler, and there's a special area or moment of almost fully compressed but definitely not fully compressed, and if you falter in this moment it WILL jam every single time.
Sometimes those jams are unjamable, and even if they are unjamable, there's only so many jams and unjams those staplers can take.
I use this now. I'm only on my second in 2 years!
Black masks out of stock :(
But if you really want black color, this one is still in stock, 20 pack for $4.14 after code, about 20-21 cents each, that's one minute of pay, still affordable, use code YDPZHVCO, but you might have to add $7.01 to your cart to qualify for free shipping

Do you mean one of those? I mean I know that one is metal but it removes Christmas Tree clips all the same

I use these when I'm working the aisles, but I take it off when I go up to the register. We have a store supplied pedestal fan behind the register that looks less silly.
One charge lasts me all shift. It doesn't always feel like it's doing much, but I definitely get a lot hotter when I'm not wearing it.
Edit: We sold the same fan last year in the seasonal aisle, but it was battery powered instead of USB rechargeable. The rechargeable AAs I bought did NOT work with the battery powered fan, so I definitely recommend the USB Rechargeable version.
get some of this lotion: Gold Bond Ultimate Skin Therapy Lotion, Healing Aloe, 5.5 Oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J2L5TOK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_Xuu-Fb7D6KTW1

To the best of my knowledge, these aren’t available to order. I used to hoard them in my locked cabinet in the office for that reason. If you need them badly, you can order them on Amazon for pretty cheap and just do a paid out for them.

If you have a Menards or lowes or home depot near you they sell blue bins that hang. Thats what we did with ours (atleast birth control) and did a paid out. Amazon has them as well but for what we needed would've been like 100. And menards was only 50. They don't have the ones I was looking at last weekend that were a pack of 6. Might be able to hunt around tho. If I can figure out how to pm or post a picture of ours I will

Myschedule is what the schedule is written in. Only managers, ops managers, SMIT, shifts can get into myschedule.
Have you tried downloading the app. That will show you your schedule. Here is the link for Android. I don't know about Apple but you can search CVS schedule app in the store.

I personally buy Cherokee scrub pants off amazon. They feel amazing and I've had mine for well over 6 months without the thighs wearing down.
