This is the controller I have (well, I have several, but this is the one I choose to use whenever I can). I recommend it to anyone who'll listen. There's a new version of it out with some extra features that is even better.
Found the x-box in red on amazon for 40.00 and went with those. Open return window until Jan 31. Still debating on going with the DuanSense, so thoughts are still very welcome!
It might be a build up of dirt or simply the analog stick wore, but if you want to try cleaning it you should use something like wd-40 contact cleaner it brings analog sticks back to life https://www.amazon.com/WD-40-Specialist-Electrical-Contact-Cleaner/dp/B00AF0OFVU
I haven't tried the dual sense controller yet so I can't say. But I do love my ds4 controller on my PC. One thing you might want is this: https://www.amazon.com/MAYFLASH-Bluetooth-Controller-Raspberry-Compatible/dp/B0B4JTDZP6 This dongle makes it so you don't have to run a 3rd party program on your PC to trick windows into thinking your controller is an Xbox controller, which is what windows wants.
You simply put your controller (any Bluetooth controller will work) into pairing mode and press the button on the dongle and it will connect. Easy peasy. Also with this dongle you can use it on a Nintendo switch, PlayStation or Xbox. So your covers everywhere. 1 controller, 1 dongle, all systems.
I have looked for grips but not sure if they go over the rubber what's there or if they are replacement bits like for what I need Like these https://www.amazon.com/Playrealm-Silicone-Printing-Controller-Unspeakable/dp/B08C2NZNC4/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=35X3IKAMAR0DK&keywords=xbox+one+rubber+thumb+grips&qid=1659816867&sprefix=xbox+one+rubb%2Caps%2C208&sr=8-4
It looks real to me. The only thing that looks weird is that the thumbstick nubs aren't aligned properly, see the photo here for how they should look:
https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Wired-Controller/dp/B003ZSN600
I didn't think it was possible for the thumbstick caps to get put on skewed like that. Seems like at minimum someone took the controller apart and put it back together again. Maybe they also replaced the thumbsticks?
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows-Pc/dp/B000HZFCT2
Looks like I got the first one in 2011 (it was a gift so I don't know the price) and got the replacement from "Sold by Gimika" in 2013 for $12.95.
Got the Gulikit King Kong 2 Pro. (Also looked at Spectra Infinity which was less than half the price, and Scuf Infinity Pro which was more than double). No paddles or trigger stops. It's supposed to be the shape of the original XBox One controller, would one of these fit? And how would wiring extra buttons work, if at all? https://www.amazon.com/Collective-Minds-Xbox-One-Mod-Pack/dp/B07H4MPJ5X/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=scuf%2Bxbox%2Bcontroller&qid=1655849463&s=videogames&sprefix=scuf%2Cvideogames%2C187&sr=1-13&th=1
Might also be interested in convex thumb stick hats, recommendations?
It could just be how that controller works. It might not be capable of reporting an analog joystick signal. Does the right stick work the same as the left stick? What about the triggers, do you see analog for trigger inputs or does it jump from 0 to 100% pressed?
You said this is a "Dhaose" xbox 360 controller, is it the wired model or the wireless model?

If you already have an Xbox One/Series controller, 8Bitdo has a good phone clip.
If you need a controller and a clip, 8Bitdo has a bundle for that. However, that controller only seems to work on Android phones. I've had issues with it on PC too, so it seems to solely work on Android phones. Another thing to note about that controller and clip from my experience is since the controller doesn't have grips (handles) it can be a little annoying to balance the weight of the phone. Especially if you have a big phone.
late to the party, but just in case some future person finds this, one solution is: Sn30 Pro for Mobile & Xbox Cloud
the triggers are analog, and while it claims to be for mobile and customer support claims it can't be used for pc… you can in fact use it on pc via bluetooth (tested by yours truly).
the catch is that it reads as a dinput controller:
What kind of motherboard do you have? A lot of MSI boards have an issue trying to send out several bluetooth signals at once, even more so with ASUS boards at times.
If you really would like to spare this from happening, I use this for it, which is basically plug and play, and allows me to connect up to three controllers in my case.
The 8BitDo Pro 2 goes for $50 USD and sometimes goes on sale. It has 2 back buttons, so if you need 4 this may not work. It's a pretty solid controller. Wireless, comes with rechargeable battery, gyro, 2 back buttons, and a bunch of other stuff.

You want to get an Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver. Discontinued, might be hard to get now. There are a lot of knockoffs.
Don't get an Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit because even though it looks like it should work, it doesn't actually let you use the controller on a PC. The wireless controller only works wirelessly, the cable is just for power.
I had a decent controller with modular face buttons/analog sticks/dpads. You could make the set up just like that. Here it is actually: Link
If you like wired 360 controllers but don't like the cable I have good news. Wireless 360 controllers work great on PC with an adapter.
The adapter you need looks like this, an oval-shaped thing with a USB cable:
Microsoft Xbox Wireless Receiver for Windows
There are knockoffs out there so try to find one with the official Microsoft branding. Although, my understanding is the knockoffs generally work fine.
Don't get the "Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for Xbox One", it won't work for Xbox 360 controllers. Don't get the "Xbox 360 wireless network adapter", that's for Wi-Fi. Don't get the "Play and Charge Kit", the cable is only used for charging and doesn't transmit data.
8BitDo SN30 Pro 2 is what you need. Fits all of your criteria perfectly.
The thrustmaster controller allows you to swap left stick and D-pad I believe. And the sticks are very high quality. Only thing I don't like about it is it's a bit large for a controller and I didn't like the rear button placement. Thrustmaster eSWAP X Pro Controller

This is it, I didn't find anything better.
Are you talking about Amazon Luna Controller?
https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Luna-Controller/dp/B07P989QTJ
Maybe you need the driver?
> Install the Luna Controller driver to connect Amazon Luna Controller via Bluetooth to play games outside of Amazon Luna.

This has everything you seek plus more. Been using it for months and still going strong
Unfortunately, it doesn't really make much of a difference on controller with the longer travel. It helps, sure, but with the amount of precision you need it's more just about practice and refining your controller settings.
Something to look into would be something like this:
It's not perfect, but it is better than the standard controller. That said, again, it's mostly just about practicing a LOT with whichever method you use and tweaking settings until it's something you're comfortable with.
Look into getting a wireless zdo controller. Has everything you ever want on in controller and it has 6 extra programmable buttons.
I've never tried the DualSense, so I don't have a good frame of reference, to be honest, and that two-tone design is pretty unique, even among PlayStation controllers. You'd probably be hard-pressed to find anything with similar contours/silhouette/etc.
That said, Ryochan7's fork of DS4Windows has DualSense support, so if you're using Windows 10, that's an option. If not, and you actually need something different, I've never played anything that felt better in my hands than an Xbox One controller (including the Series X/S ones, which suffer from a tiny bit of shrinkflation), although they have some marked differences from Sony's (e.g., convex sticks with different placement, no touchbar, etc.), so may not be to your taste. As someone who is extremely picky about controllers, I hope you find what you're looking for!

Only thing I can think of at the moment is the Hyperkin Duke:
Hyperkin Duke Wired Controller for Xbox One/ Windows 10 PC (Red Limited Edition) - Officially Licensed By Xbox https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L6CL2BG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XBMH53N6EVX5TAKTBGZD
But Ill ponder on it haha
Thanks, the problem was that those are the originals. Any Xbox conductive rubber is flawed by design.
The conductive part (black circle) is too small, so I just cut and replaced the rubber from an old Dualshock 4 controller instead.
Another option was to just melt something like this coil inside the original rubber: https://www.amazon.com/Proto-pasta-CDP11701-Electrically-Conductive-Composite/dp/B01BDL4BY0/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=conductive+rubber&qid=1631707018&sr=8-4
This is the best cheapest one I could think of off the top of my head that connects wirelessly as an Xbox controller(so it'll work with everything): Amazon link
There are some other good options under $20 if you're ok using a Switch controller or are mainly using Steam. Link
There are actually quite a few interesting controllers for PC(or are designed with PC in-mind) imo. Potential downside is in some cases the buttons are labeled Switch-style(but still function like you'd expect on PC). Let me list some wireless <50 ones I like.
Big Big Won Elitist S
Mobapad M173
Gulikit King Kong Pro
ZD-O
8bitdo Pro 2
Beitong Asura 2
Gamesir G4
This connects as a wireless Xbox controller (not sure what it's called, but it's quality)
For PC there's the ZD-O on Amazon(Link, the Flydigi Vader 2, 8bitdo Pro 2, Bionik Vulcan and Falcon, Big Big Won Elitist S, Gamesir T4 Pro. If you can stretch your budget there's the Beitong Zeus which is one of the best PC controllers period. I have a Beitong Asura 3 on the way and it looks to be very good as well.
Then if you consider Switch controllers you get even more options, like this random nice generic.
There's these Switch controllers that work on PC as well.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ABFE3JW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_HGG6NZY79JPZSHYHS9Z0
I'm not familiar enough with quality dpads but it doesn't seem too bad. There's other brands as well, I'm pretty sure PowerA has a similar controller.
the latest 8bitdo pro2 might be what you want, but it has only just come out. The previous version 8bit sn30 pro+ was often the go to around these parts, but that older version doesn't have back buttons.
Check on that bluestacks stuff, I wouldn't know.
What kind of USB Bluetooth stick? Can you link the Amazon product page?
It should work with the official Xbox One wireless adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Adapter-Windows-one/dp/B00ZB7W4QU
For some reason Windows doesn't handle it correctly if you connect it directly over Bluetooth. If it's just a matter of remapping buttons you should be able to fix it in Steam's controller configuration.
Thanks for the info. BT adapters aside, I read that someone was able to connect multiple X-input controllers using a BT card instead such as this one . Is this true?
Here's a GameCube style gamepad by Hori, connects via USB

I am curious about this thing which seems to be some sort of pass-through device for a DS4 that adds paddles.
I personally use the PS4 controller, but seeing how that is not something you want to use, I would recommend just picking up a cheap official wired xbox 360 controller. It works by default with most controller supported games and really is just great. Alternatively, if you really want a good PC controller, I reccomend the Logitech F310 other than the Dpad, I've had only good experiences with this relatively cheap controller. It works with most games out of the box as well. Hope this helped.
