It's crazy because you are complaining about something that you have direct control over.
3/28/15 we play a home game against Galaxy. PM me and I'll buy you a ticket with the ultras and you can be a part of the solution.
Do a trial for any VPN (ex. NordVPN) and then cancel after the game. This whole season has been such a shit show in terms of watching the team. Glad I’m not renewing my two season tickets for next year.
r/VPN has a good wiki on factors for choosing. It's privacy focused, so if this is your only use case, it will be more in depth than what you're looking for. I chose Private Internet Access for ease of use and price. Some don't like them because they're a US company, which theoretically means they can be forced to give up a user's info. But they maintain that they don't save logs (and have never been caught doing so) so that there's nothing for them to give up.
Downloaded the NordVPN iPhone app to watch the game via espn+. Connected to servers in Atlanta and LA and it still says the game is blacked out. Anyone have any advice or a stream I could watch?
Edit: connected to NY server and I am now able to watch. Also fuck FloFC
I have a Fairfax zip and I just pick a VPN node that is not in either team's market and haven't had many issues. Watched last night via ESPN+ on the Texas node using Private Internet Access's VPN with zero issues aside from the browser tab crashed once, so I had to get up and walk over to the pc to refresh (was chromecasting it). If the first node doesn't work I just switch nodes and try again. You may want to go into whatever browser you are using and delete all ESPN cookies between attempts, I had an issue with that not last night but at one point in making it work initially.
ExpressVPN. You can switch the "city" you're in depending on where you are and what's blacked out.
We had a bit ilof trouble getting it to work today, but we did a chat with someone from the VPN company and he told us which city we should connect to the VPN though that works best with ESPN+. So at least they aren't dummies about why some people use their VPN. They were helpful and fixed the issue.
I like the idea of keeping a DC theme. How about the outline of DC like this? Keeps the theme of the scarf while not being repetitive. I can't do a mock up right now but I'll post one later
I have a decent knowledge of spanish and thought the same thing. Can anyone confirm?
I hear you about adding to the monument in the middle but.... I think that the skyline one captures that aspect and the single monument is a simple clean look. A few people enjoyed just the washington there but maybe swapping for the capital would look better. i'll let u/wiltify make that call.
Thanks for YOUR feedback friend. I'll be proud when I have a box of scarfs in front of me. Let's do this
On a laptop/desktop, using a VPN to put you somewhere else in the US works to get around the blackout on ESPN+ to watch live. NordVPN is the best all-around VPN I have found, and speeds are just fine for streaming HD.
If they are on flo tonight you will need to have a VPN place you inside their stupid fence. I use NordVPN as you can select one of their servers in Manassas. It worked perfectly for me when I was in Nashville few weeks back during a match.
Got ESPN+ to work for the stream by using uBlock Origin and Private Internet Access Connected to Atlanta. If anyone else is having issues getting blocked out with their VPN, try uBlock Origin to ensure that your browser is not sending your location to ESPN.
For the tech savvy, I use the VPN solution outlined in this blog post.
The CloudFormation template file is a little outdated, so you’ll have to change the EC2 Instance Type to one that you want to use - (pricing).
I have one set up in Ohio and another in Oregon. When I want to route traffic from my PC through one of those other networks, I log-in and “start” the instance. When I’m finished routing traffic, I “stop” the instance to avoid being charged when not in use. My configuration is about $1.50 per hour of usage.
I use these primarily for when I’m on public or hotel WiFi to reduce the chances of being snooped on by the WiFi provider.
I have been able to watch ESPN+ games using this rig on my Mac. It didn’t work on my phone, because the app requires location services.
Of course, there are VPN providers out there that make a business on routing traffic for this stuff.
As for your second question, I am not familiar with a lot of VPN services. I decided to do NordVPN and it looks like they have apps for all devices. My friend has it on his cell phone I have not tried that yet.
Yeah contacted support as well, their response was "reset your router and modem to hopefully fix your location."
My response was that doesn't even make sense, because my phone on 5G has the same problem.
Hopefully gets fixed before the next match. In the meanwhile NordVPN got my location to Washington area to be able to watch the stream at least
Depending on how you want to watch, all I could say is that stream will work. Not sure what other options to watch are in the states.

VPN (Virtual Private Network) basically masks your location and makes the website or service you're using think you are somewhere else, e.g. I'm in the UK but I tell the VPN to make it look like I'm in USA. The VPN app I use is called ExpressVPN and has worked brilliantly for me
If you’re using it on your phone it won’t work because your phone has a gps and ESPN+ requires to access to gps. So your internet may look like it’s coming from outside the geofence, but it still knows your phone’s physical location. Works best if you stream from a PC as it doesn’t have a physical gps. It’s easier to spoof. I use Private Internet Access. Easy set up and it’s like $7 a month.
VPN allows you to change your region, unlock online game limitations, Bypassing Internet restrictions (be it from schools, company offices, or hotels), reducing lag for online game, unblocking websites, allowing you to browse web anonymously, hiding & changing your IP.
By connecting to VPN servers in countries where the TV programs are available, you can have an unrestricted access to foreign TV programs which are only available in certain countries. For example, you can watch BBC with a UK VPN, watch NBC with a USA VPN and watch CBC with a Canada VPN.
You can have the free trial any day, obtain the username account and password for VPN free trial via FlyVPN Free Trial.
I get AirVPN through work and it worked well yesterday when I tried accessing other MLS games. (my understanding is ESPN+ either blocks a particular server or doesn't, so if it worked yesterday it should work today).
Also beware the free VPN services because they can apparently have malware.
AirVPN and probably others allow multiple devices, and ESPN+ allows 3 devices at a time if you want to share costs with your buddies.
I've used Unlocator with my AppleTV which has worked really well for , but I wasn't able to get it going for ESPN+ last year. I'm planning to take a look and see if I can get it going this year.
