Nah it doesn't matter but if you're a using a public wifi it's best to randomise your mac address and use a proxy server . Also if you're looking for a Linux distro to install I would recommend Manjaro or Garuda Linux over Ubuntu. Garuda Linux is better looking, choose what suits you best
Best way to increase speed and anonymity is with more users/data centers to host the Tor network on.
It’s pretty pathetic that I max out at around 800-900kbps when loading content on Tor. Granted, my speeds are even slower because I use a bridge and then on top of that I use the only true no-logs personal commercially-available VPN in the world: ExpressVPN.
I’m aware of the risks involved with using a VPN with Tor, btw. I have everything configured so that I shouldn’t be experiencing any issues, but I’d rather my VPN provider know my true IP than some random node in the Tor network.
If you have a trusted vpn. NordVPN is very popular then no. But I understand your concern. Since all the data goes through the vpn as a middle, wouldn't it be a risk? IDK but the main purpose of a VPN is to isolate you from the dangers.
Go to playstore and install Orbot and Tor browser
Turn on orbot it's like a vpn with onion routing.
and surf the net with the Tor browser.
How to surf? where to go?
I don't really know all I know is every site in the deep/dark web uses ".onion" instead of ".com".
That's all I know.
