BLACK LIVES MATTER SE DENVER SOLIDARITY WALK - TONIGHT | 6:30 PM. Join southeast Denver families and Councilwoman Black for this family friendly solidarity walk to support the black community and encourage our community to talk about race, to our families, friends and neighbors. The walk will begin at Southmoor Park and end at Rosamond Park. A few guidelines: Entire families are welcome, and strollers & wagons encouraged! Homemade signs are great! Please practice social distancing during the walk and wear masks. Individuals who are not sure they can walk the entire distance or would feel more comfortable at home are encouraged to support the walk from sidewalks, front porches and driveways on the route. The 1.2 mile walk will conclude with a moment of silence in Rosamond Park – the walk will be finished no later than 8 PM.
So fucking creepy. This made me realize how I should have some kind of exit route from my house. I live in a tri level home, bedrooms upstairs. If someone could throw a gas can in the front window of my home and start it on fire, my only way to escape is by jumping out of of a window into some roses bushes, probably at least breaking a leg. It never occurred to me before, so I just ordered this escape ladder.
Thanks for the heads up!

WE NEED MORE OF THIS. Thank you for taking the time to write it. Please make a post of encouragement so others can see it on the main thread.
This movement is about supporting each other through every step of this, come what may, and how we persevere with our work for BLM. Fighting racism and white male privilege is a long process- we’ve been doing it for more than 200 years.
And BLM is absolutely about feminism. Intersectional feminism supports and includes black woman’s rights and struggle, as equally as it does all POC, the poor, children, and the underprivileged.
This radical feminist stands with you, and all women in support of BLM and everything it stands for.
“I am not free if any woman Is unfree, even if her shackles are very different from my own.” Audre Lorde
(I recommend Audre’s book, Sister Outsider for radical essays of intersectional feminism and to stoke your own fire of radicalism) 💚🦋🍄
