I don't think there are stable releases for 1.16.4, but if you don't mind you could use version v3.1-beta-6 from SpigotMC that is 1.16.4 compatible.
It's the version I'm running and I don't have any problems with it so far.
2 options, use paperMC, or craftbukkit. Craftbukkit is no longer "officially" supported, you have to use a special compile tag when getting the jar. (See: https://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/buildtools/#compile-craftbukkit) Craftbukkit is what I currently use. Paper, however, is supposedly much better for vanilla servers with added options. I have not tested it, but a bunch of major tech vanilla servers use it (scicraft & Prototech to name a couple). I'd do some research on it before switching over, but it's probably your best bet.
If you dont find any other options, you could use a plugin like worldborder to generate the chunks, fullrender the dynmap, and then use worldborder again to remove the chunks you aren't using yet. Its not a fast process, but it'll do the job.
hello, I recently helped start a server and I had a similar issue with fullrender on dynmap, i'd recommend using a third-party plugin that renders chunks made for dynmap, it's called Chunkmaster, I use it and it's great. Here's a link
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/chunkmaster.71351/
If it's giving you issues, I know people on older mc versions are using the World Border plugin.
I had success with similar types of black spots using https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/light-cleaner.42469/
I'd warp to the spot, run cleanlight, run a radiusrender, and refresh my browser. Seemed to do the trick.
"[13:41:41] [Server thread/ERROR]: Error initializing dynmap - bukkit version incompatible! initializing dynmap v3.0-beta-5-218 (Is it up to date?)"
Try downloading a newer version here
If that doesn't work, please report back!
I'm not currently supporting this version, so you'll probably need to talk to the folks doing so - there is another one, as well, https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/dynmap-faction3.71014/ - both are based on the version I wrote years ago, but have been supported on their own for a while.
I've been using Dynmap Factions with Factions3 just fine.
Disable the default dynmap integration with /f config dynmapenabled since the extra plugin handles it
You need to run /wb world fill 20 200 true.
The important bit is the "true" part as that means it scans to see if a chunk is loaded more vigorously. Otherwise I'd just use Chunkmaster to pregenerate as that is much more stable than worldborder (https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/chunkmaster.71351/). It only generates up to the world border (either vanilla or the WorldBorder plugin) so if you run that, it should generate those black parts on your map.
I downloaded from https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/dynmap.274/ and uploaded it to the file system manually but nothing happens when i restart the server. Shouldn't it just come up?
Hi,
It looks like "FactionsUUID" supports dynmap based on this post: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/factionsuuid.1035/update?update=306691
