While I'm unsure of any real science behind it (and I'm not using it for the claimed benefits), I've had this for several days and it's interesting.
I get a convincing sense that my monitor is illuminated by the ambient light less than it's its own light source.

ASCII digits, 0 through 7.
Here is a program that will print the digits: http://ideone.com/GRTugM
I've printed in a 2D grid with a width of 17 because there are 238 digits and the prime factorization of 238 is 2x7x17.
But if it's even important to lay out the digits on a 2D plane there are several other valid widths
One obvious thing to check is that if any of the above 2D grid dimensions show anything meaningful when drawn as a greyscale image.
Of course as usual, double-checking other peoples work is a good idea for these sorts of things. Constant vigilance against secrets and codes!
EDIT: Pretty certain 2D-ness is important here. Even the output I found above has a bunch of really clear diagonal patterns in it.
