I feel you on the feet, but on a side note after trying a few other types and brands, these things are frigggen magic and are on Zappos with the free shoes program. Timberland PRO Men's Powertrain https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MU5RZFI/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_GV8SCBD6910BA82R54DX?psc=1
About 40lbs (262-->223) all from working the dock (I like moving full pallets/gaylords around) and eating a bit healthier. For my gender/height, obese is 211+ and overweight is 179-210. Since March, I've been picking up VET just about every week and typically work 44-48 hours since then.

When I first started in October, I'd treat myself to ice cream or McDonald's/Wendys after each shift. In early December, I had lost only about 3-4lbs and thought to myself that as much exercise as I'm getting at work (peak was just getting under way), I should be loosing a lot more. Got this scale ($25; 180k positive reviews) that syncs with an app on my phone to keep track of weight lost and started eating healthier. Not that I was ever eating very unhealthy, just more salads and keeping rough track of calories. I'm not the type to stick to a strict diet. A big motivator is the fact I'd never exercise much outside of work, so I want to loose as much as I can while working my present position.
Ibuprofen and Scholl Gel Insoles help a lot. I always used to tell my new hires the first day was the worst, then on the second day I'd tell them the second day is the worst because you're still tired from the first day. Then they'd realise every day of the first week or two was worse than the previous days. Give it a few weeks and you'll get used to it. Don't quit a week in, you've already got the blue badge so you may as well stay at least until the pandemic is 'over' which might also be never.
The masks are probably the worst part of the job at the moment, not just because your face is going to be constantly warm but also because nobody seems to know how to wear their masks so you find yourself judging them silently (or loudly if you're one of my friends).
Yup like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.chime
Use your login with your Amazon email address like this
If that does not work out, then you can log in a computer in your Amazon site. They have Amazon Chime already installed that you can use.
Ahh, what a bummer, I was looking at this one, but I don’t think I can afford it if there is no reimbursement!
I got this one for thirty. Lasts all shift at full volume and the sound quality isn't terrible
Monster Boomerang Neckband... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BKZTZNT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share it’s this one. It’s pricey but the battery life is great and the sound quality is awesome. Tbh sometimes I forget I’m not wearing headphones when I use it lol. If you have the Amazon credit card you have the option of paying in installments
Not that I EVER use ear buds when on the clock wink but if I did I would probably buy the small flesh colored ear buds on Amazon to fly under the radar...they don't have the best quality sound, but they are cheap, you can wear one and switch ears when needed...or so I heard! Lol https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FPGZGLN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I'm in the sunshine state, FL. I worked at night, it gets a little hot. Wear good quality sweat wicking athletic t-shirts and shorts, wearing comfortable clothes will make it soooo much better, you WILL sweat. In addition to random animal urines, we've also had some type of plant fertilizer made of chopped up rotting fish bits. The bottles somehow pressurized and exploded and then got left to sit in a tote for a day or two because our PS crew doesn't do a great job of getting that stuff to damageland. A uniquely terrible smell that hung around on my clothes for a looong time after I got home.
If it’s tiny enough you could put it in something like this: Nujiaa Coin Pouch, Small Coin Purse Keychain, Professional EDC Pouch Accessories Case for Military Gear Bags, Little Change Wallet, Wireless Headset Pack. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BZFJQ1D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_BC8Q1JZTBC2KR2J4D5JM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I like the idea of purchasing from Amazon just so you can say Amazon helped you sneak shit into the warehouse.
I haven’t tried any of the insoles from Zappos! i have flat feet so i am using these Dr Scholl’s

If you have an Android phone, and the kiosk is well connected, the Connect & Pay app lets you see immediately when you purchase something and lets you earn "rewards" (only seen cash back); you can see what you purchased and add funds while off-site.
(The company that makes this app has similar apps in the Google Play Store; I don't know why, maybe branding, but they might recommend a different app for your specific location if you end up contacting them. There are probably similar apps for iPhone.)

No need.

Would have replied earlier except I think I wrecked my wrist for the foreseeable future. May have to give up the amazing opportunity I just had at this particular warehouse. Will know by Friday.
Anyway, no one would have thought acidic lime turns alkaline after it's metabolized (no chemical reactions shown, and would probably be behind a paywall).
Just dilute enough so sourness isn't overwhelming (love how many ways the body guides you about what is good or bad!), drink as much as you can and throw the rest away. Make sure you rinse your mouth and teeth afterwards or the acid will start attacking your teeth.

Is this your first full-time job? You will get used to it after a while. Don't bother with safety shoes. They're awful. These are the insoles I use and recommend. But like I said.. if this is your first full-time job, you really just need to get used to it.
Also, during break time go into your car and remove your shoes to let your feet breath. It helps.
Everyone already said blackout curtains but also make sure you get a wrap around curtain rod so that light doesn’t come out the sides. Something like this
I have some Under Armour shoes. The main thing I look for is that the insole is removable, then I replace them with a pair of scholl gel insoles. These things have stopped me getting blisters for the last 5 years, normally have to replace every 6 months but it's absolutely worth it
I just got these from amazon and I have not had a bad experience....
Lasuney T20 True Wireless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096ZLC72J
When I got them there was a $10 off coupon so they were like $15.
Go to a runners shoe store. They will check to see if you experience supination or pronation. From there it will help you narrow down the right show choice.
For me it is Asics Gel Nimbus paired with a set of Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx insoles.
Are there any good alternatives to epsom salt baths? Ideally I wanna try to find something that works kinda like those tablets you can buy where you put it in the shower and it creates a mist.
https://www.amazon.com/ZzzQuil-Tablets-Aromatherapy-Essential-Lavender/dp/B086KGJNHS
Not sure if it's actually a thing that would work. I actually just bought some epsom salt and plan on buying a foot soak basin.
The vagina pants.

And as clarification I worked in an adult toy warehouse in Vegas for 5 or 6 years and even these spiked my weird shit-o-meter.
At a sort center, so nearly everything small is boxed, but after working Problem Solve a handful of times, I came across a box with 10 individual rolls of toilet paper with a laughing Hillary Clinton mouth open on each sheet and 10 "Buttock Obama" penholder with a figure of him on all fours, pants pulled down and you stick the pen...well...
Stowed a “meat” colored silicone sock one time.
Also had to bin sweep about a dozen 18in dildos to the side one time. Felt wrong feeling them flop around against my arm.

This is similar to the ones approved to at work. Basically they use a tech that uses the bones in your face as a sort of speaker that keeps your ears open. It’s definitely weird at first but you get used to it. There’s MP3 style but a cheaper blue tooth one one that most of us use on site.
Wear thick socks like Columbia or something if you are wearing work boots, I got mine at Kohl's for like $6 for 3 pairs. Go to am care and ask for some second skin for your blisters, don't try to tough blisters out until they go away, because they probably won't.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006GE6A8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_XY55515BB9FHN2YNK4JY
Those are the ones I use, and I put one of those large ovals type band-aids over top
KAFW is one of Amazon Air's newest facilities (opened 2019) that functions as a sort center. Most Tier 1 employees will be inside the building in the sort operations. I work at an almost identical facility in Florida and most management and trainers went their to get experience before we opened last summer. Only a small number of Tier 1 employees are sent outside to work on the ramp (working on the ramp requires extra training, so those working on the ramp will never work outside (unless you get an internal transfer and go through the additional training). First day will be in training room sitting and going through airline safety training. You'll be emailed a code to get composite-toed shoes on Zappos. YOU'LL BE ON YOUR FEET ALL DAY SO GET COMFORTABLE INSOLES!!!! Also, buy a non-metallic belt (I wrote about this belt in this post answering Amazon Air questions) as you go through a metal detector entering the building. I also don't carry change anymore and just use debit or my phone, so when going through the metal detector I always have the same 3 metal items (keys, phone, watch) and don't have to think about what metal might be in my pockets on on me.

Put these in a long sock, and throw the sock over your shoulder between your back and a wall. You can lean backwards into the massage ball, and adjust how far down it goes without straining. Water spider advice.
Lol this, I worked at a FC in June it was literal hell. The extra money wasn't fucking worth it. I had a day where I had all the same fucking k-cup coffee boxes, talking a pallet full with no smalls. I was ready for someone to shoot me.
I quit after a month lol. Hopped on the sort train a little before peak. It's so chill. I can take bathroom breaks without worrying now.
I've worn something like this, empty of course and it helped my back. https://www.amazon.com/Neoprene-Holster-Concealed-Magazine-Elastic/dp/B01N633EQC
Alternating shoes is good and I also change my socks at lunch to keep my feet in shape. Do occasional stretches and stay hydrated.
I bought this overbuilt thing because I was sick of dropping my badge while working. One time I had it returned to me by AR because it left on a pod.
I'm repeating what others have said, but nobody has said all the things, so here goes:
It really is all in the shoes. I don't really know any other method to reduce the foot pain than to have really good shoes. Here's the ones I bought. I also have flat feet.
Thank you so much for this link, I was under the impression that the shirts I see people wear at my DS were only purchaseable with Swag Bucks (something that, as a White Badge of two months and counting, still has never been explained to me how I even get them). I understand that some shirts, like "Stow Wars" and that Juneteenth shirt I see half my DS wearing sometimes, are limited time things that you had to have been there for, but I also figured that classic ones like "Did I Hear VTO?" would be purchaseable at any time...
...Come to think of it, I still haven't gotten the DSE4 hat that all the other White Badges in my hiring group received...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.chime&hl=en_US
There's an Android app, IOS app, desktop program and website for Chime.
I used to go with new balance every time and they were wearing out after about 6 months, even when I got the desk role and was only going into the tower every few hours for bin checks.
I've had a pair of under armour trainers for the last year with some scholl gel insoles and they've got some damage but that's nothing compared to the last pair of new balance shoes that fell apart after 4 months
For shoes I swear by Asics Gel Nimbus. They're comfortable as hell and as a picker you want light shoes, so you don't tire as easy. They have true full foot gel cushioning which helps with the repeated jarring the joints take from what is basically soccer goalie movements for 10 hours a day. You also should get a pair of the Powerstep Pinnalce Maxx insoles. Seriously that combo and you'll feel like you're walking on feathers with full support. I'm 40ish years old, so I'm more sensitive to joint and body pains.
Do yourself a favor, buy and read this book: https://www.amazon.com/How-Not-Be-Asshole-century/dp/0692707298/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=how+to+not+be+an+asshole&qid=1598515795&sr=8-3
these work well for me. I go through about 3 pairs a year but it's better than foot pain and blisters. I have a pair in my safety boots but I wear them so little they've barely started to wear down
Do yourself favor, buy and read this book: https://www.amazon.com/Rules-Writers-Diana-Hacker/dp/131905742X It's apparent that you've never heard of paragraphs before. Honestly I tried to get through this, but stopped at the part where some dude wants to fight cause they think you're gay and a snitch. I'm just going to say since you're ok with throwing around homophobic slurs --despite being lumped in with my people and subject to retaliation line I have been at Amazon-- that it's probably a good thing you're getting fired.
I'm a picker- but yeah wrist pain sucks. Try to be specific about where the problems are with AMCARE- they can offer up suggestions better if they know which part you've hurt.
There are finger exercisers that help me prevent pain. Mostly my issue seems to be that I'm always grabbing a thing- there are finger exercisers meant for rock climbers to exercise the opposing muscle by opening the hand against force. Lemme get a link
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XQJZT73/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_YA7bEySQuzT9E
And yep i got it on Amazon. Duh. AMCARE kept suggesting i use rubber bands and hair ties buy i couldn't find any that would not fly across the room or pinch my hand.
I also sleep with a sleep brace on if I'm having a bad week. Keeps me from balling my fingers up or flexing my wrist too far in my sleep.

They’re pretty good, cut a lot of conveyor noise but I can hear humans talking through them. And they have a little string so you can kind of tie them around you neck on break and not lose them.
That sounds like a great idea. Is this the Buff you're referring to? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GGQM914/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UqcaDb908MMSD
Also? Do you have any brands for sweat wicking that you recommend? I learned the hard way that not all sweat wicking stuff are created equal.
Hehe that's funny. We have "counting" cages where there's a shelf. One time I counted an A bin doing SBC, got the "are you sure?" beep or to me "fuck a duck" beep, and I KNOW I was right with my count. But here it is, it's dead in the VNA, lights are off in most of the aisles including the one I'm in because I'm counting every. single. bin.
I'm in the exact center of the aisle, last on any pick path. I pull everything out, making absolutely certain there's nothing in there and lo and behold there's a small book at the bottom.
Stow will be stow. Just because it'll fit there, doesn't mean that there it should go.
So I triple count, count again as I put everything back, and before I enter in the final count I turned off the lights, sat on the counting shelf, and read that book. It was funny.
I think that's the worst I ever did.
