There is an old wagon trail, a brown's lake, and a beaver creek, and some great fly fishing in the area.

TIL that more than 300 bombers crashed in a 2 year period during training in the 1940's and many were in Colorado.
Heading nearby in a few weeks. Here is a feature I found interesting - <a href="https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=D1336234093A2AB5!232&authkey=!APnqdz8YPeWqI9A&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg">Omega sign</a>
Please be safe. Higher elevations are about to get nailed: Winter Weather Advisory - 6-12 inches above 8500, 3-6 inches 7500-8500
Hard to “know” what is the intent. All we can do is speculate. For example, I speculate Forrest uses allusion in his hints without directly calling out the hint or its intention. With this as my baseline “pattern”, journals and literature do seem to play a role and are discussed as important to Forrest in his book of hints.
Journal of a Trapper names Joe Meek. Ezra Meeker is another “meek” in the search area. In Ezra’s journal, we find pondering of wild roses growing at Devil’s Gate, “where nobody will see them.” We see almost exactly the same wording from Forrest on p102 in TTOTC.

Perhaps it is just a coincidence.
I have hear of it but am of the opinion that it is from a natural source, and the most likely source is related to a persons own ears probably a form of tinnitus. As it effects 1 in 5 people it would not be unlikely that periodically you will encounter someone else with un-diagnosed tinnitus who "confirms" the hum you are hearing. If it were a external sound it could be recorded.
Easy test: Most recorders will record beyond the frequencies most people can hear, so when you hear it record it and then play it back on your computer with a spectra graph program that can display beyond the normal hearing range and it would show it.

Yes and don't forget there was also the "icy rivulet" that trout would swim up to spawn in a "crystalline forest pond" fed by a spring as per an excerpt found by Vertigo in an Ernest Schweibert treatise:

Clearly things are ever-changing in nature yet in some ways they stay the same which is probably what Forrest was always trying to convey when he answered questions about the permanence of the clues.
West Yellowstone -- Rain on the 30th (Saturday) and that night into Sunday (31st) early morning. https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMTWESTY11/graph/2020-05-22/2020-05-22/monthly
I thought for sure it was located somewhere along the Gneiss Trail in Yellowstone. It is below a Brown Bear Reserve (House of Brown) and it is a moderate but pretty rare trail. If you read the description of how to progress through the trail, there is one point where you are supposed to use a fallen tree to help you find your way. I thought that it was near, under, or around there as it was "The blaze". I was in the region last summer, but there was no way for me to search the trail (I was taking kids on a mission trip). I think it would be cool if it was indeed found on that trail.

>meek: quiet, gentle, and easily imposed on; submissive.
That's why everybody thinks that line refers to Hell Roaring Creek.
I know Ojo means eye, but it can also mean Careful (in some contexts). once again im not a native spanish speaker, just learned it through school. Have a good day friend!
Your best bet would be to buy the Tarry Scant book: https://www.amazon.com/Tarry-Scant-Collection-Forrest-Treasure-ebook/dp/B08Y66G47P/
It includes full transcripts of every known interview.
Why not? Just register an anonymous email address at Hushmail for example. As an extra layer of security, buy VPN service from Mullvad, pay anonymously with bitcoin or cash sent in an envelope. Do everything with webrtc turned off and clean web browser cookies before doing anything. Contact the finder via Reddit or email or whatever. Email a picture of the treasure (not any of the ones that have already been made public). Preferably with the treasure placed on top of todays newspaper. That should be evidence enough for the OP but maybe as an extra precaution he will ask "place the treasure in the form of an R, take a photo of it, then I will believe you". Should be easy enough.
Now, how would that reveal the identity of the finder?
And outlaws, Butch Cassidy...all connected to Dinosaur National Park.
Don't forget his mention of Robert Redford writing a book a.k.a. The Outlaw Trail

There is a book from 2014 in which the solve is based around Beartrap Canyon.
One thing I noticed about this area was that the elevation in the canyon skirts the "above 5,000' elevation" hint by FF. Using the mouse-over in Google Earth, there are plenty of locations below 5,000', and some above it as well.
Grebe Lake and Devils Den/Tower junction would be close to there. Observation Peak might be a good, off the beaten path option, too. Just check the schedules for what is off limits. Lots of trails close because of bear activity, animal breeding, trail restoration.
I also suggest the REI supported Hiking Project app. Find it here for Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hikingproject.android
