On Amazon, each size can have its own price, so it makes sense for them to prohibit cross-size exchange.
Otherwise one could buy the cheaper size and exchange for the more expensive ones.
Take a look at this Spyder Women's Geared Hoody Synthetic Down Jacket shipped and sold by Amazon.
If I were a Medium and cross-size exchanges were available, I'd buy a Large for $59.30 and exchange, saving a bunch of $$$.
I use the blue reuzel. I used to use the pink one, but it wasn't water soluble, so I had to shampoo my hair every day to get it out (although I did like how I could re-style it mid-day...). I started buying the big 12 oz tin on Amazon because it's $10 cheaper than my barber sells it for and it lasts me 3-4 months.
For actual warmth best to go with glove liners, or fine gloves, with Mittens over top. Fingers don't have enough circulation to keep you actually warm in gloves. Combining two like the below should be close to as good as you could get for your price range
https://www.amazon.com/Terramar-S491-Thermasilk-Glove-Liner/dp/B002NPBTWS
https://www.thelasthunt.com/products/armada-carmel-windstopper-mitt-mens-llll-arm-r00119
For good quality gloves you go for Hestra, but you will be dissapointed if you are looking for real heat, you need to do the above.
I used to work at the Bay, and your best bet would be to wait for one of their scratch and save or 1-day sales events. As a last resort (if time is of the essence) you can apply for an HBC credit card, which gives you 15% off your purchases that day, but cancel it immediately if you don't need it because the interest rate is 19.99%. Don't spend money you don't have, I hated the fact that we were forced to try and get people to open credit cards all day.
If you go this route just open the card, wait for it to arrive, go to the store (or online) to pay it off (whatever the cost of the gift is), and cancel it. This will temporarily hit your credit score fair warning.
Also check if you can find any code that would be relevant to your purchase here: https://www.groupon.com/coupons/stores/thebay.com If I had a coupon or anything I would gladly give it to you, but unfortunately this is all I can offer you. Good luck!
If this is the clarks desert boots you are talking about, then it's being sold at 99.98 at Amazon without any specific sale. They've gone as low as 70 ish.
Personally a fan of the Secrid Wallets, have had mine for 6 years, and it's still as awesome as the day I got it.

I literally bought one of these Brandit jackets off Amazon a few days ago, still in the mail.
Reviews for this and other models were decent, although the sizing appears to be iffy. I'll update when i get it.
I got these from Amazon because I couldnt find anything in store anywhere
Elonglin Mens Casual Linen Pants Comfortable Trousers Elastic Waist Drawstring Beige (Size CA S = Asian L) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01MU0J4MQ?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I'm very satisfied. Perfect for summer
Not a tip for avoiding, but I have a really cool (and really cheap) tool that shaves them off making the pants look brand new. I usually do it every couple months and my sweats and sweaters always look fresh.
Something like this one on Amazon for $15. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B008I25368/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_M2DCRQVYSG5G08CABH99?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They're incredibly handy to have around (as you can see from the almost 50,000 reviews on that specific one).
I bought the "Cognac" version of these from little Burgundy a few weeks back for the same price. The actual colour was the Tan Renegade that you can see on the Amazon page: https://www.amazon.ca/Original-Chippewa-Collection-Service-Utility/dp/B00FLO6KUE
I believe this Bordeaux colour is the same as the Cordovan colour. Little Burgundy seems to like changing the name and colour names of shoes on their website. Free shipping.
I don't get the saxx love. I find them super uncomfortable. That pouch sucks.
I bought these a couple years ago and they're super soft, comfy, and cool. Those seem to be outta stock but if you search JINSHI there's other ones.
There is a brand called Legendary Whitetail, they have something v similar on Amazon - Legendary Whitetails https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B074J7R9QT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_iBSbGb8JFTZRD?psc=1.
Haven’t owned one personally but I too have been looking for something v similar and this is the closest I have seen.
I would also suggest checking out Gooodthread t shirts on Amazon. I personally found the Next Level a bit short for me (6'3")
Probably sitting at 30+ washes with no collar wrinkling or any serious wear. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06XWMKR2F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_UkIJBbQBYN4EP
Red wing hawthorne IRs on Amazon for 288 - 9.5
Carhartts short sleeves, they're easy on the wallet, durable, relaxed fit, and last a long time (I had mine for over 4 years and still feels like new other than it shrinking a bit after countless washes)
if you're ok with supporting the bad guy or whatever amazon goodthreads has a realllllly good hoodie
i'm 5'11" with average build and the medium is my favorite hoodie fitting-wise out of any i've ever owned. nice and snug. only word of caution is if you have a big head you have to work a bit to get your noggin through the head hole :p
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07BKVHHL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
there's no slim gloves that will keep you truly warm. There's no air to heat up and keep you warm, and your fingers don't generate enough heat by themselves, so a slim glove won't really be able to insulate very well.
when I was a bike messenger, I'd switch between mits and neoprene gloves (ie for fishing or for underwater work). Those worked pretty good but actually made my fingers sweaty. I got mine from mec but these ones on amazon look good: https://www.amazon.ca/West-Chester-96650-Synthetic-Waterproof/dp/B002ZPGW32/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1537046691&sr=8-2&keywords=neoprene+gloves+winter
I’ve tried maybe 9 or 10 different no shows socks and these are BY FAR the best ones I’ve ever bought - from Amazon. Never slipped, doesn’t show, and has great breathability: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07M9MYYCG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_238E5Q0KZTWF5NXQB661?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you are also willing to give another brand a try, Check these out - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07KXDQ5N6. Some of the reviews found these to be better than Saxx and much more affordable. While some preferred Saxx over them. These have been a game changer for me personally.
Anyone bought Russell Athletic on Amazon? GQ had them listed at best budget
Russell Athletic Men's Dri Power Fleece Crew-Neck Sweatshirt https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00EVH87CG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_fLeVFbH242VP7
Hit or miss based on sizing and colourway. Will have to play around with the sizes and see what is available. (eg. 11.5 in black is $220 https://www.amazon.ca/Wolverine-1000-Original-Brown-boots/dp/B003I8H1TO/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=1000%2Bmile&qid=1606058954&refinements=p_85%3A5690392011%2Cp_n_size_browse-vebin%3A10388006011&rnid=10388002011&rps=1&s=sh...)

I've been seeing these consistently 70-90 CAD at varying sizes the last few months. I think these are just their 'regular' price on amazon. I returned a pair of these exact same boots to amazon earlier this month. There seems to be a lot of non-1000 mile Wolverines on amazon going for fairly low prices.
For example, this other 11.5M chelsea is going for 70 CAD:
Amazon has good prices for Citizen watches, this one is 40$ over the budget but it's a beautiful watch.
/u/nortbair321 if you find one you like, add it to your wish list and Amazon will let you know when (if) the price drops. If you like something and you're patient you can get a great deal.
There's this, it's less homeless looking imo https://www.simons.ca/en/men-clothing/sweaters-cardigans/shawls-cardigans/minimalist-cardigan--6867-5925661?catId=6723&colourId=41
And Amazon Canada has a bunch of the streetswear type: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N6CAZLB/ref=asc_df_B01N6CAZLB1524222000000?smid=A2D9L39QUE9EAD&linkCode=df0&creative=395393&creativeASIN=B01N6CAZLB&tag=psc0e-20&ascsubtag=3147121779
Just throwing another suggestion out there since I saw you posting about jackets on the other thread, look up Marmot Guides Down Hoody jacket on Amazon.ca Marmot Guides Down Hoody Men's Winter Puffer Jacket, Fill Power 700, Slate Grey/Cinder https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B000AQ9G9U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6hyeCbXJD31NG
I don't know your size but most sizes and colors are under $270 free shipping and sold by Amazon (which means they have a 30 day free return policy)
I wear the hoodless version of this jacket with earmuffs and it was good enough for 99% of my conditions all winter so the hooded version would be even warmer. It's 700 fill power but much more stuffed and warmer than all 3 of the jackets I recommended to you on the other thread
EDIT: It appears to be a very similar but cheaper version of the NUPTSE jacket you are saying was very warm ..with a hood...so substantially warmer
The Hestras posted by u/kerrlybill are a steal at that price, but if you're looking for something cheaper/more rugged these are great gloves
I bought a pair of Nordstrom shoe trees as well. They're decent, but they're the same style and quality as my Moneysworth & Best Shoe Trees from Amazon. The finishing is a tad bit better on the Nordstrom shoe trees in areas that don't matter (inner portion of the shoe tree).
I also have a pair of the Winners M&B shoe trees and those ones aren't great, as they don't have the rounded heel block.
IMO Nordstrom shoe trees are a decent buy at $20, but nothing spectacular considering you can get the M&B trees on Amazon year round for basically the same price.
Grab the Samsonite modern utility backpack from Amazon, totally worth the money and it is very compact and looks quite professional.
https://www.amazon.ca/Samsonite-Modern-Utility-Laptop-Backpack/dp/B073C97T3V/ref=mp_s_a_1_3
I'd wait for a better price though, maybe they still have it at Bentley
The boots will be fine. So will the coat. NB is on the coast so there is ocean moderating influence. It is not like Alberta where you can expect 40 below for at least a couple weeks a year. This is chart for Jan. 2020.

I bought these for riding my bike in Nov/Dec and liked them enough to use them as winter gloves. They hold up in Montreal winter, though I don't get cold easily.
Depends how much you care about looks, lots of clothing is affordable, warm, etc but ugly as sin. Also depends on if its for just commuting or you are doing outdoor activities like hunting or camping.
I'd assume Nova Scotia is a bit less forgiving with temperature, wind , and weather than Toronto but I usually get away with undershirt + sweater/hoodie (mid level what shows indoors) + light parka that looks nice. I use a winter face mask like this, i don't necessarily recommend this but just to give you an idea. the important part is its basically a normal mask with the neck coverage . With pants + boots. I use timberland boots since they are stupid easy to clean, waterproof, and warm enough but there are definitely better options but I've been content enough using them. For gloves I absolutely despite bulky gloves, I use these slim merino gloves by smartwool. I believe I bought them on sale around Nov/Dec 2021 but I think they are worth nonsale price, they are great for using my phone but not feeling cold plus they look and feel very nice.
depending on the style, amazon has a lot of chinese knock-offs, you can also try alibaba to buy directly from there
for example

Seiko 5s also exist, but god damn have prices gone up. I got one about 5 years ago for like $45. The same watch now is $136. Brutal.

brand suggestions for black crew neck t-shirts? Been using the Kirkland black ones (Medium) for a while now but I don't like how long they are. I guess they are meant for being tucked in?
Fruit of the loom (Like this) seem to be a good length, (have the grey one). Wondering if there is suggestion for a slightly higher quality than fruit of the loom? Otherwise might just get the black of these
I would still consider Allen Edmonds, they're pretty good value for money when on sale, and particularly if you can clarify the shipping and/or are able to cross the border for pickup once Nov 30th rolls around. If you're in an office environment, a nice pair of Park Avenues will do you very well for a long time if you take care of them.

Here's the amazon link, more expensive but with more colours
Not very familiar with watches, but I've planned to buy a Seiko 5. Would the Seiko 5 be a better value buy because it's automatic?

I played Immigrant Song as background music to the sonos word, Clcould you help me get in, get out man.
I don't like to support Amazon too much but I like their Goodthreads brand, not super expensive or insane quality but not too bad to enter into shorter shorts
Carhartt! Their Small fits like a Uniqlo M/L
If you just want plain white ones I bought a few packs of these . I found they don't shrink in the wash and are actually very comfortable and breathable for the price
Guys i think i just found something on Amazon

They're currently sold out, but I grabbed these from Amazon last year for 12 bucks - put in some cheap Comfort Zone insoles and they've been great! Should be able to find something similar on Amazon.
hi
I everyone, I am trying to find some good nylon or modal boxer briefs. These Calvin Klein ones were on sale but they went out pretty quickly before I could buy them:

Anyone knows of any good alternative options? specifically looking for nylon or modal briefs in a set of 3, preferably on sale.
Been on the hunt for some CBD in beeswax (Clarks Originals). I stumbled upon this amazon posting and I'm wondering if it's legit. It looks slightly different to the clarks website one
Some of the amazon reviews say the boots are fake. Thoughts?
My wife just got these from Amazon and she says they are almost identical to Lulu's align pants (they retail for 100+). I felt them, the quality is good and they have that buttery feel that makes align so desired. My wife wore align through her pregnancy and swears by then but if you are spending a ton of time in them i'd rather spend 1/3 of the price and get some options. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B089NLCKCZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_eCGVFb5WH32WH
There are reusable wipesthat you can buy on Amazon that will prevent your glasses from fogging up, or you could try washing them with dish soap :)
I do not find that SAXX has anything over David Archy (other than price)
https://www.amazon.ca/David-Archy-Breathable-Bamboo-Black-4-5/dp/B01LEWKEVW
i got some merino base layers from Alp Kit(long sleeved shirt and tight pants) but I question their quality. they are somewhat wind resistant, but their moisture wicking is notable. I THINK the main problem i have with them is that they are just way too thin. They are 150 gsm i think. maybe less.
and they were made in China...this maybe effected the fabrics used, maybe it did, maybe it didn't... but I thought alp kit is a home grown 'only in the UK' type of company .
i remember seeing a site that had 400 gsm and 450 gsm merino base layers and i didn't pull the trigger on the purchase or save it (UGH!) . i think that's what i need.
nice call on the 'ninjaclava' [HAHAHA] . i need one of those for when i take long walks. but my old balaclava became too wet with sweat so ive been looking for a comfy merino one.
for socks i got these bad boys (https://www.amazon.ca/Darn-Tough-Tactical-Extra-Cushion/dp/B078SP8ST8?th=1) . comfy, life warranty, and they get the job done.
Not sure this is what you’re looking for but I have these and am very satisfied for the cheap price! As I said earlier, I am currently wearing Kirkland brand merino wool socks. But if you don't want to buy kirkland, stick with merino wool. I have bought everything from natural materials to synthetic multi part sock systems, and merino wool socks have been the best for days of ruck marching in all sorts of weather. A pair like this is under 9 bucks a pair on amazon.
no problem, costco is likely your best bet.
as for amazon, i have these from there: https://www.amazon.ca/Champion-Fleece-Pullover-Crimson-X-Large/dp/B005CSOXDA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1484086842&sr=8-6&keywords=champion+hoodie
they go on sale to around $20 or less every so often, just keep an eye out. they shrink a lot though in the wash so keep that in mind. i have the zip up version too.
FWIW there are also cheaper ones on Amazon depending on your size. Sorry I snagged the only black 10 for $115.
Honestly I have found amazon to be perfect. I have picked up some nice watches for a good price - personal favorite of mine - https://www.amazon.ca/Junkers-Bauhaus-6070-5-Vintage-style/dp/B006DDHQOQ/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_241_lp_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=793TDRWT8JPC943BSF0S

The same boot on GetOutsideShoes is $419.99, almost $100 more expensive.
Best i've ever tried are David Archy Micro Modal shirts from Amazon. I have them in black and they are insanely comfortable and soft, very good fit, stretchy, retain their shape, and are insanely breathable. Can't comment on any other colors but I will be trying out the white ones, hopefully they aren't too see through.

I bought these Carfia sunglasses on Amazon for about $30. They're polarized, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Only downside is that there's not much selection in terms of different styles.

I SWEAR by Feather Blades, but they take a bit of attention. I do a two-pass shave in the shower using a shower mirror.
I have sensitive skin, but I can shave every day and my skin barely notices.
Here's an Amazon link for bulk, but I also grab single packs at House of Knives.
Agree with the other comments regarding Layrite! I am including a travel size option as the CBSA didn't like the regular size in my carry-on while... Here are the Amazon links:
I saw these on BuyItForLife and ordered a pair. Very happy with them, they're super warm and feel like they'll last a long time. They have extra reinforced padding on the heel and toes. I actually just noticed they're on sale, so I ordered more!

I found a pair of Naked & Famous Cashmere Blend jeans for $59 after tax. You can find some good deals on select sizes every so often for WAY under retail.
Probably not frugal, but I loooooove my 20+ year old Auclairs. I prefer mittens, and most of the ones I find are huge and bulky, but these are amazing.
These aren't the exact ones I have, but similar: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01IVJNQDO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_I88FFbE6X0704

THESE Hanes 4 Pack boxer briefs have never steered me wrong for years. Works out to about 5$ per boxer brief which is average I think. You might find better or comparable prices at other places if you don't like Amazon.
$22 from Amazon, they are almost always that price.
There is absolutely nothing special about these shorts They're from evil Amazon but they fit well and are super cheap. Old Navy shorts are nice but they don't taper in the leg so they can be super boxy and unflattering.

Amazon has a few sizes, it's hit or miss.
Big fan of Amazon’s Goodthread line. Very affordable, and I was impressed by the quality - just go one size up in the waist as my normal 32 was a tad snug. Free returns as well, once I found the right size, bought a pair in every colour. $31 is regular price, they drop to $25ish a few times of the year (BF, Prime Day). Good luck!

Don't know why the links look like they do... but they work.
Hi. Looking for help finding a light blue groom's suit jacket/blazer for a destination wedding. This one is the best I've found so far, but obviously I don't want to pay that much!
I'd be willing to pay about $400USD or $550CDN. I like that the linked jacket is unlined since I don't want to sweat during the ceremony.
I have this one. It's only 10 bucks. I have 2 cards on each side in the easy access pockets, 4ish "other" cards on each side in the top pockets, and some cash in the middle. With all that, it's a little less than .75" thick.
Canada West is still a great choice at around $200. Goodyear welted, great leather, will last you years and years unlike some of the other suggestions here.
Amazon has their Romeo chelsea right now with prime shipping (so free returns if it doesn't fit/you don't like it). Romeo fits 1/2 size large, so if you're an 11 in most shoes I'd go for a 10.5.
Alternatively, Iron Rangers in your size (10.5) in charcoal are also on sale for $265 on Amazon.
The UGG boots have decent reviews. I think there are only Blake Stitched, but they seem decent. A couple of reviews say they don't stay waterproof, but that is because the dinguses don't realize that leather doesn't stay permanently waterproof and needs to be treated with something like Dubbin or Mink Oil or Sno-Seal.
Still a little puffy but I love Woolrich
If you don't care about money, the John Rich & Bros version
Just bought these for a hiking trip in Alberta Fryatt Valley.
I found they fit big so i put an extra insole in the shoes but they worked flawlessly for their purpose. Good ankle support and grip, and kept dry.
I do have one gripe with them personally (own fault) and that is if you try to put them on by just ramming your foot inside, you can deform the back of the shoe which you can reshape with your hand. Easy work around would be to just untie the shoe and put it on properly like a normal person.
I got something similar from Lucky ($100 or so on clearance), if you have one near you (I don't see any online, it's all summer stuff). Eddie Bauer has similar styles too if you wait for the fall/winter line to come out. You might want to try searching for a "Cowichan" sweater, that's what this style is marketed as sometimes. Just don't get sucked in to buying an artisan made sweater from Cowichan, because that'll cost $500+.
If you can go pick it up in the US, Laundromat stuff is really cheap on amazon.com ($40..) ie. https://www.amazon.com/Laundromat-5PX-Phoenix/dp/B00NCSIAH2/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_193_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=7TTRSBYA668P24CBXD2Q&th=1&psc=1
These were cheap alternatives to Tevas, and have survived hikes in Cuban coral reef areas (very sharp rocks and steep angles) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B005HO2E30/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
not RW, but these may work for you 14 2E for cheap
