Download this old version of Spotify (Uninstall what you have now) and install it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/uv6id0gqad8ypr7/SpotifyAndroid.apk
Run it, and at the login screen, hit the menu button. You will have the option to change the storage location. Once you set your SDCard, you can exit the app, update it from the Play store, open it back up, login, and all should be well.
(You will have to make sure that you are able to install third party apps. Have to change the setting in your phone)
Yeah I have alienblue on my iPad and I even prefer it to reddit.com on my desktop, but the Reddit I found so far is called reddit sync.
I have tried each and every permutation of VPN configuration that was available. I'm using Private Internet Access for my VPN- I've tried TCP & UDP, each available port, the PIA app, OpenVPN, and direct configuration in the VPN section of settings. I finally hit the support forums of VZW and PIA, where I found others with the same issue- VPN connections were dropped every 10 to 30 seconds using 4G- 4G simply turns off for a few seconds then comes back on. One guy used a utility to find that the IP was changing this often when he had his VPN connected. For the people that could do it on different phones, switching to 3G stopped the problem- VZW 3G is not NAT restricted. Finally PIA support looked into it to find the NAT issues, only with VZW. EDIT: I have not tried the keepalive yet- will try it now. What the hell.
I have the Samsung Universal one as well, and it works great with my case too. The only thing I don't like about this mount is audio-out to aux jack - there isn't one. So you're left with a cord sticking out of the top and out of the bottom. Dislike. I ended up getting one of these and stream audio via bluetooth now (my next car will have this built in).
Update: I just wanted to let everyone know that I did find a "fix" for the Youtube ""There was a problem while playing - Touch to retry" error on my Note 2. I uninstalled the current Youtube that was installed and randomly picked an older version to install (since I didn't have the problem before). The random old version I chose was 5.6.31 from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/uploads/page/4/?app=youtube (others may work, but this one is the one I used) I installed it two days ago and have not seen the error since. Every video loads ok, so I call it a fix. Just be sure to set your apps to not auto-update Youtube. Cheers.
Sorry for the necromancy, but for anyone else wondering, this can be accomplished when rooted by installing xposed, and using the Physical Button Media Control module: http://repo.xposed.info/module/xeed.xposed.cbppmod
You can assign actions to single/double/triple press, as well as long press, etc.
Try installing the old one and after update to this one
Root Explorer is considered an excellent file manager, especially when rooted. They do have a non-rooted version too. I use it in combination with ESFile Explorer.
Have you tried using OpenVPN Connect? It has a great option to reconnect automatically as soon as the VPN connection times out/gets disconnected. It takes a bit of fiddling to get it to work with your VPN provider, but once it's configured, it rocks.
I'm using it on my Note2 with FrootVPN and it's been great so far.
I bought this guy, and one of these external wall chargers too. Got to say they are really handy, especially since my charging port likes to die sometimes so I can still use my phone while I have a new charge port coming in the mail.
If I were you I would just go with a few of the Anker batteries and an external wall charger. Since you can't do fast charge on Note 2, it's a nice option to have multiple batteries charged and ready to go. That's what I love about my Note 2... replaceable battery :)
I've used this one for more than a year now and it is very nice: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LGM1OHY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_0fIqxbHQ689NP
It can hold pretty much any size phone. I use my note 2 in landscape mode while driving, but you can orient it however you like. Also the red/black matches my crossover perfectly.
From my understanding, the cause of SDS is a faulty eMMC chip on the mainboard (this app supposedly tests if your device has the faulty chip). I'm assuming when you return the phone for a fix, they'll replace the board with a new(er)/refurbished one that doesn't have the bad chip. I don't think it's that expensive, considering I paid $50 for the board to replace it myself.
