Yes had hits. Pink Floyd had hits. Lots of prog music was popular, but not Genesis. Genesis was not a major band when it started, but was following the trends of the times (Trespass is molded after Court of the Crimson King). They wanted popularity, but didn't have it until Follow You Follow Me (or arguably, I Know What I Like, but that song didn't stick). After that they became the trendsetters. Their transition into more "pop" music was natural and inevitable. Consequently, they transitioned into the 80s better than any 70s band of any genre.
here's a great list of prog rock singles from that era: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/groonrikk/singles_from_the_first_prog_rock_era_1967_1977/

From what I've read, it's due to publishing rights. Virgin Records LTD owns the rights to the album.
It's available on Amazon as MP3 as well as Spotify if you're in Canada.
The only other option is to set your Apple ID to a different country (try the UK first). Here's a link how, just tap "View Apple ID"
Oh this happened before. With a different rap artist going by the name Genesis, funnily enough.
These guys need to install NordVPN on their Spotify creator account, take off this and Genesis According to Phil Collins, and throw Twilight Alehouse on there as an apology.
They have it available on Amazon in MP3 format, I just bought the Extra Tracks disc on MP3 and saved to to my flash drive because I have all the other albums but it has some really great stuff from old BBC sessions.
You can buy the whole thing for around $35 I think or just the extras for like $12 but it's worth it in my opinion having some of the older BBC rarities from 1970. Definitely a lot of fun to listen to and hear the original versions of songs they never realeased but would used parts of them on Tresspass, Nursery Cryme and The Lamb.
Genesis needs to get NordVPN for their Spotify account, to keep their connection and credentials secure from any potential hackers or illicit figures. Sign up today with the exclusivity code to get 3 cancellable free months and 75% off a full year, or your money back!
Thank you for reminding me of this one! Had the CD but lost it at some point over the years. I remember only favoring about half of the tracks but have missed it ever since. Think i might get a new copy now that a couple decades have passed...
For anyone interested: Fox Lies Down: Tribute to Genesis
Incidentally, those reviews on Amazon crack me up; seems some people really liked the tracks i didn't and vice versa -- but there seems to be a general agreement that the Cinema Show cover shouldn't have faded out early the way it does, lol.
Took a little searching, apparently the picture was only used on the back of the vinyl copies and the CD longbox. Perhaps on any other format it's inside. You may have to run your mouse over the image to get a close-up!

This came out last fall, to capitalize on the tour. No new tracks, unfortunately. I still nearly bought it because I'm such a completist with Genesis stuff. https://www.amazon.com/Last-Domino-Genesis/dp/B09BCCD5V4/ref=sr\_1\_2?crid=2NTXQ5NOA2BAU&keywords=last+domino%3F+cd+genesis&qid=1646087707&sprefix=last+domino+cd+genes%2Caps%2C546&sr=8-2
Haven't found any flacs yet but you can purchase it in mp3 from amazon, might have to switch the format in this link

So it's probably an original US copy from 1972. It seems that several copies of the album have the code CAS 1058, but you'll have to take a pic of the label on the record or look it up on discogs to see if it's a reissue or not.
Glad you think so. Feel free to help me spread the word! I’m kind of in my “wandering around Italy looking for fans” phase. My first novel is full of kinks references. It’s available on Amazon now US https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JL2FC67/ref=nodl_ UK
They were old video tapes, one from the Hello I Must Be Going tour, in which he opens with I Don't Care Anymore, and one from No Jacket Required. I remember owning the former, and taping the latter off of an HBO special at a friend's house. Some of the songs might be on Youtube. I'm pretty sure this is the old No Jacket Required video: https://www.amazon.com/Ticket-Required-VHS-Phil-Collins/dp/6302450527
I believe if you purchase the Genesis Archive 2 set it is included as an 11:00 minute jam... for Mama at least. Its a hard find and usually super expensive. Here is a link to it on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Genesis/dp/B0000508TB/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1EEGWY126PYCI&dchild=1&keywords=genesis+archive+2+1976+1992&qid=1595551150&sprefix=genesis+arch%2Caps%2C182&sr=8-1
