Hey there are some groups on facebook for meeting friends, If your into pop culture, supanova is coming up on the easter weekend.

Check out meetup.com they have heaps of events on there so pick something you like.

Mate it's hard not having good friends so just do what you love and find other people that are into it too is the best way.

So good luck and follow your passion.

Also don't be afraid to talk to people, people are people too.
Here's a script to read every paywall site for free. Including the majors like FT, WSJ, Bloomberg.

Oh yeah, half the appeal of the Gold Coast for me is the Hinterland. There are so many trials and places to explore.
As a rule though, you can't go wrong in Lamington National Park, but Mt Tamborine also has many nice trails.
As a newbie, it's best to knock off the most common tourist trails first, so Purlingbrook Falls, Natural Bridge, Cedar Creek Falls etc, but there are hundreds of trails and there are some real hidden gems, real Jurassic Park style stuff.
All trails (https://www.alltrails.com) and Aussie Bush Walking (https://www.aussiebushwalking.com) are good resources though photos never do the real thing justice, you just have to see it and experience it with your own eyes.
How big is the item?
If it's small enough to carry, just get them to hand it over at the border... There's plenty of places close to the border where you / the other person can park, and the law doesn't say you can't walk up to the border (only that you can't cross the border), so technically neither of you would be breaking the law.
If in doubt exactly where the border is, have a look here (or if you prefer Google, here).
It's up to you, but that's what I'd do and if they fined me, I'd be taking it to court, because technically one would not have broken the law...
No one mentioned the night home doctor yet.
We use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hds.homedoctor2
The doctor comes to your house, but only at night or weekends, otherwise you get a phone consult.
Also we go to
Our Medical Gold Coast in Oxenford (North Goldcoast). (07) 5573 1122 https://maps.app.goo.gl/yPWW3Hvw9LxRANF36
Walk in doctors. No appointments.
For emergencies, of course go to the hospital, or call 000.
Aussie Broadband for sure! I have Aussie Broadband in Robina. I can download a 4 GB file in about 3 minutes. That's fantastic, IMO.
I just did two speed tests (Saturday morning, 10:23am):
Fast.com: 43 Mbps - https://i.imgur.com/qyQAUS2.png
SpeedTest.net: 42.46 Mbps - https://www.speedtest.net/result/9082735520
Love it!
There's a pretty cool app on Android (not sure about Apple) called Job Spotter which links up to that Indeed job search website/app. It allows you to take pics of job ads you see in store windows, etc., & add them to Indeed just by taking a pic, which allows more people to locate them.
