I used these to extend my 2nd part of the LED strip from the bed to the closet:
Note mine is a 4-pin for H61101, but you can look for something similar with 3-pin connectors
I don’t have one handy but I used black Scotch Velcro rated for 10lbs and cut a piece to fit the mounting tape portion of the immersion. I then mounted it on the underside of the LG where the power button is. The velcro adhesive is very strong and the immersion hasn’t moved at all. The velcro makes it just thick enough that the Govee is lowered about a quarter inch and the IR remains unobstructed.

I hate to say it, but I would honestly recommend cancelling your order and getting this one.
You lose WiFi/Voice control, but it has RGBIC, so I would say that it's worth the extra $5.
I'm getting mine on Wednesday.
Some searching has revealed this is a missing feature that has been requested many times.
Pointers (only) to use ifttt are also mostly useless since there are zero reports of that actually working let alone with a non-paid account. Home Assistant would likely be successful but of course is a lot of work.
Too bad Govee can't get their act together like other companies such as Gaoducash which use the Tuya /Smart Life App Control or Shelly who provide this feature in their app but both appear to lack the quality Govee (may) have in the actual manufactured thermometer.
Also hugely important and useful is the powered option to get rid of the stupid batteries in both of the above. Govee would do well to copy that too.
I got them from Amazon Canada! Theres is small sale on them:

Honestly, I took the factory sticky pads off, they arent very good, and they are not 3m. You can use the below command strips. Theres 20 in the pack, 10 hexa lights, I put two strips on each panel, and I have had 0 issue. They also come off the wall relatively easily IF YOU GO SLOW. And you can just peel them off the backs and reorder these if you want to move them down the road.

It works fine. It has three 12V outputs and some fancy features like timers and a light sensor that I haven't used.
I bought this one and it worked with no issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TZ9GRRQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Good luck!
Thanks for the tip on this! I wrote to Govee about seeing if they would send alternative controllers but to be honest I don't have a lot of hope that they will replace all of my H6159 controllers for any reasonable amount. I will try a few of these as I am tired of the lack of consistency the H6159's seem to have.
Just to give some more information with some time that passed. I have adopted a home assistant server to control all my smart devices. It has been a lot of run to learn and work with. I then just decided to get rid of the H6159 controller and purchased these controllers instead.
They have been working fine and integrated really well. Dont know if this helps, but I've been scared of buying govee lights since they are so expensive and the simple stuff hasn't worked.
Yes the light bars work.

Yep...lightning deal. $39, less $5 clipped coupon for $34.99 for the five pack of water sensors
So if you get both deals...you can get 8 sensors and 1 hub for $64.99 --- really nice!
Ordered this cable, cut the existing light strip, soldered and heat-shrink wrapped each of the wires inside and then put a bigger one over all 3. Pretty simple job honestly and I am absolutely garbage at soldering.

That's what I bought. The LED light strip is flexible and adheres to monitor using plastic mounts. The plastic mounts are adhered to the monitor and they are lined with a lipped piece of rubber. It seems the adhesive used with these rubber pieces is susceptible to low amounts of heat and slide off the plastic mounts. I did discover the corner mounts have enough space to use zipties with, so that's what I did to better secure the strip.
I bought these to extend the cord:
Is that what you’re looking for? These specific ones are only 10 ft long, but I’m sure you can get longer ones. There are flat versions too if that works better. I’ve had absolutely zero issues using these.
Thanks, I was looking at these.
Frankly I don't have any idea what I'm doing and can't tell if these are "exposed" or not. If there's another indoor alternative that would work I'd be interested in that. I just didn't want to have to spend extra for the outdoor ones if it was unnecessary!
I used the Griver clips on my Govee's. Put them up a couple of years ago and had a strip that went out and had to unscrew them to replace the strip. They were still strong enough to reuse which amazed me. The price I paid for them I was expecting them to be brittle in the outdoor weather and was just going to use new ones but I got to keep them. Not much but 5 bucks in 5 bucks.
Its live on Amazon now.

I just cut them at the cut points (where you can see the copper) and used standard 3 core wire to join each cut (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08GX6DK6M/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o01\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) < that's the wire I got.
You just have to think about the direction of the lights (the strips have arrows) so make sure you plan where each cut is going to be. Also, while you can cut these, it's not advised to shorten them as it will mess with the light 'animations' so you'll have to be cognizant of finding a way to use the entire length of the roll. I really had to plan out my cut sizes for each piece.. and if I had it my way, the lights would've extended lower on the bottom shelf..

There’s others brands that does the same as govee on Amazon with stock if you can’t wait for new stock to become available. Wouldn’t buy tech stuff from Ali express, especially lights that can overheat if they are setup the wrong way.
OREiN TV LED Backlights, WiFi LED Strip Lights with HDMI Sync Box
I just bought some on amazon, they are made in plastic compared to the metal ones that comes with the strip. Unfortunate they are out of stock atm.

Trying to see if i can find some cheap ones that will work
That's super simple as you can put it on your TV it won't be very cool. I mean you can make it one color or transition though stuff. But if you want the real deal govee TV strips get these this will match the strips to whats happening on your TV. It really makes the TV feel alive.
Govee works with IFTTT which allows for webhooks, which works with the iFTTT plugin for the stream deck. There is a slight delay. If you have an iPhone/homekit, you can also use homebridge.

Which muzata did you use? It's easy to get the wrong one the way they have theirs listed. They have a spotless model that while it does need 60 LEDs to be truly spotless it's looks a lot better than basic diffusers. I know it doesn't solve the issue but it might work in certain situations?

Instead of directly mounting them on the wall. I took 4-inch screws and measured the 3.5-inch distance from the ceiling, and pointed the LEDs to face e corner of the roof and wall. That way, there were no spots. I covered the exposed length of the screw with a small plastic pipe. It would look like a floating aluminum channel 3.5 inches from the ceiling and 3.5 inches from the wall (.5 inches of the screw will be driven into the wall).
To explain it another way. From a side view, it's a square. Sides are walls, ceiling aluminum, and aluminum. The milky white cover will be pointed towards the wall and ceiling corner.
DM me if you want an image.
I purchased back in January which could be why I was able to buy it still.
The total was $146 which included a $21 shipping fee. Currently though it appears that almost everything on the US Amazon Govee site is currently unavailable.
I just purchased another RGBIC LED strip from the Australian Govee Amazon page and the lights came in 3 business days.

I did cabinet lighting, with a H618A RGBIC strip, but I soldered connectors onto it. I believe I did get some of theses connectors to work, but they are very touchy.
Yes, I think it’s possible too. However, I don’t think the copper end of the strip can just plug and play with an adapter.
I think I’d also need a connector: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YFRT861/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_FBHT1BRAH874DZBCBJ9D
Funny enough - the connectors plus a controller cost more than another strip with the controller included.
Hmm, yeah you might loose a bit of the vibrance. Especially with the blues purples and that area of the spectrum.
A solution that I've seen some people take to is installing 3d textures behind the tv. It looks really cool but it takes a bit of work to get it all set up.

Hope this helps!
I believe the Govee Floor Lamp (link below) works with the Govee Highlight function, which allows you to sync multiple lights to the TV, as long as you already have a TV Immersion kit. You could also try the Light Bars as another user mentioned, but judging by your picture I don’t think the cable is long enough. And while you can extend the bars USB C cable, you can not extend the length between each bar.
Clear 3m clips
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DL5R4CC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This will keep the mess and the frustration down. You'll also be able to put it on another TV if you upgrade.
Make sure the govee products that you purchase are compatible with the sync feature. Max sync is 5 products.
I have the immersion and the light bars so I currently have two cameras one on the top and bottom. I'll probably end up moving both to the bottom but it's fine for now.
Pace your self with your purchases lol. My gf is irritated with my "tinkie light" obsession.

Thanks so much for that solved update. There's no way I would have made that correlations to take those steps. Never thought to connect my tv to smart things, let alone thinking that it could connect with the govee product line. My only other idea was using one of those powerstrips that power on other devices when one draws power. But that likely wouldn't of worked since the immersion light seems to lose it's settings when unplugged.

I do not know. I only have the one glide with it's six pieces. But before I bought it I watched a few youtube reviews, and I remember one saying you couldn't add more sections. So I am not even talking from first hand experience.
And, now, there is this version. Which has 8 pieces and 2 corners.
Yes, it worked without any issues. The wire I used is at the link below. I used the included clips to also cut the actual light strip and used wire jumpers between cabinets. Completed last night and has been running all day.

You can only use the new H605B model as a Sync Center, the “Govee Immersion Kit LED Strip Lights & Light Bars with Camera”. This kit:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B7PY111/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_esZcxYsmQyIOi
It’s an updated model that was released about 2 months ago, and includes both TV lights and light bars in one kit, utilizing one camera for both. This new kit is also faster and more accurate than the previous model. Once you have that kit you can control all of your Govee lights, even older lights with the new Highlight mode. It is a very awesome mode, and gives you the ability to select which part of the screen your other lights react to. For example I have light strips behind my sofa so I set them to react to the bottom portion of the TV screen.
I also cannot get an ND filter to work for me. I bought this and it effectively mutes all colors to the point that the camera can't pick them up at any dial rotation. Some work slightly better but still the camera can't pick it up across the board. I've adjusted brightness/saturation settings to recommended 60/10 (or less for the latter). The base camera is giving me the best results (i.e. the strip actually changes at all screen sections). However, whites give a red/orange/yellow glow even with the above settings and a dark room.
I don't have them anymore, you can order them through amazon USA and get them delivered wherever you want in australia

They have one that says up to 85. Can you just bring it in closer? I had to do that with mine anyway because it was pulling too much pink/purple. https://www.amazon.com/Govee-Immersion-Backlights-Assistant-Control/dp/B09J4PPFK2/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=1WL1H282PIHKQ&keywords=govee&qid=1636977105&sprefix=gov%2Caps%2C93&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyP...
Actually, I think Govee just released a version for 75" - 85" TVs.

The top one has 3 sides and a little camera. It didn't do the job for me, cause the camera angle wasn't good.
Just got the immersion one myself a few weeks ago and lovin it! I believe it's the latest version. But anyways... It has separate lights compare to zones like the other one.
So this is the good one, just to be clear. https://www.amazon.ca/Govee-Immersion-Backlights-Ambient-Assistant/dp/B098DSFH14?ref_=ast_sto_dp
(Sorry for the bad eng. It's late here but wanted to comment, so you won't make the same mistake I did.)
I think if you want to do it with only one camera you have to buy the kit that comes with both the bars and the strips programmed into one camera. Link
I honestly just used another underglow kit. I installed the two long LEDs in my grill next to my radiator to make the front of my truck glow, and the two short strips up in the hood looking down at the engine.

Skip the ND filter. I had an MD filter but I didn't see enough of a difference. Grabbing a CPL lens was much better.

Using this, setting the camera further back (if possible) made a phenomenal difference. If you can get this size, or a bit bigger, it would fit just fine and you'll see more accurate colors. Got this info from a YouTuber, QTV.
If your govee strips are RGB only ( not multiple colours on the same strip) and have four connection points on the cut here line you can buy this kit or similar from Amazon. It has wire to get across gaps and connectors for the cut strip ends .no soldering needed - you just need to strip and splice wires . I did this for a similar setup. https://www.amazon.ca/5050-4Pin-RGB-Strip-Connector/dp/B07RGR226D/ref=mp_s_a_1_50?crid=3HIY122ZYC6CO&dchild=1&keywords=rgb+light+strip+connectors&qid=1633874545&sprefix=rgb+light+str&sr=8-50
Govee's official answer is you can't. They say its because each light is controlled by a separate ic chip. That isn't true. every 3 lights is. There are lights out there that each light is controlled by its own ic chip, can be cut and put back together. See:

I have cut mine and they work. For the govvee lights, make sure you cut them where it shows.

Govee tells you not to cut them because some won't know you can't cut them everywhere. The govee lights have to be cut every 3rd light.
This is my personal experience. Use at your own risk.
Both of mine were insanely loud. My cat even started sulking around like the sound was hurting her ears. (Might be louders at higher frequencies we can't even hear too?)
I swapped the power out of those with these and I could hear no sound coming from them, and my cat stopped freaking out.
seriously? if I bought an extension cable and ran it through my wall and plugged the power plug into that it wouldn't work? Was really looking more towards a dc extension cable like this one
