Yeah that is a 2 rings TRS (3 rings is TRSS) male to female cable.
I recommend you grad something from Ugreen or Cable Creation off Amazon that is the right length:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but normally when stuff like this happens it's gonna save u a lot of time and money to just get an external mic. For a nice, quality, budget option, I would recommend the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XCKGLTP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_gLqvFb6H6Y4P1
This the sorta arm you are looking for but for yge RODE, unless you want this. But i recommend if neither properly tickle your fancy to just comb through yourself😁👍
This mic is one i have experience with and use for YT live skits, we have 4k cameras and lenses yet we still use these 30 bucks mics
I got this a while back https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0776JX4JQ
Its essentially just a 3.5mm jack hard line switch.
Unfortunately mine is defective and they are no longer available but I think it's the kind of thing you're imagining.
I used it in reverse of how they intended it, one output, two inputs, to share one set of PC speakers between two computers.
The order doesn't really matter, it takes 1 line and allows you to switch between 2, regardless of input/output direction.
The only trouble I see with your scenario is you aren't switching from Output 1 to Output 2, you're switching from Output 1 (headphones) to Output Null (pretending nothing is plugged in so the built in speakers take over) and I have no idea if your Piano would recognize it as such. If you were going to a second set of external speakers I would be confident it would work.
I'm on this 8 month old post, cause I'm now thinking the same. What did you go with?
I'm thinking about Anker PowerConf H700 with Charging Stand for about $150. Wireless is a must for me, and to be able to leave them on all day to listen to music, so drivers are important to me . Its for WFH, so obviously mic is importance. These headsets have earpiece and mic Microphone Active Noise Cancelling... Let me know what you think?
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Microphone-Cancelling-Transcription-AI-Enhanced/dp/B09BVMJX7K?th=1
im in the same boat as you and have the same current headset but it unfortunately broke. I found the hyperx cloud 2 for renewed on amazon. (Typically $68)
Hey guys, I have a Vmoda boom pro mic ( https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.amazon.fr/V-MODA-BoomPro-Gaming-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00BJ17WKK&ved=2ahUKEwjzub3396T2AhUDuRoKHdvdDx8QFnoECAUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2ZDPrmSe2r5haZWHsKf9zM ) with a Philips Fidelio headset for gaming but I am now looking for a discreet looking headset for video calls. I would like to be able to plug the new headset on the Vmoda mic so I can still use the mic, but I can't find any small compatible headsets. Any Idea? Thanks :)
You can make some covers for the earpieces out of very thin fabric. Kinda like a headphone sock. It will at least keep the black stuff from flaking off but might affect the sound. You can also google diy pad replacements. They might give you some ideas.
https://www.amazon.com/Aleicx-Stretchable-Headphone-Washable-Headphones/dp/B07BP4PCVY
I've had those headsets in the past. The fake leather they use will eventually disintegrate on the clouds. The weird fabric will fray and shred on the 935. Plastic on the 935 will make it snap at the earpiece if dropped or you aren't careful with it. The clouds are tanks. They got me into buying DT 770's and the 1990's. I kinda want the upgraded closed ones but I can't justify buying them. They sell replacement pads for them and there are many options. I even googled it for you but you can find other/better ones.

My current headset are these. There good for the price but there isn’t much bass. My max budget is $50. I would like headphones and a mic and I feel that it’s more budget friendly to buy headsets with a mic rather than headsets and a mic separate. When I gather more money I will definitely look into more music focused headsets but I know to have good headphones requires a higher budget

This is my current headset so which ever one of the Razer headphones I listed are better than this, i’ll be good.
These are the headphones I currently use:
ASTRO Gaming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild A10 Headset https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07FMCGLVX/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_5J5ZP7RNHXTEG17ER1QY
They do dual audio but not Bluetooth unfortunately. Heard good things about the Artic 3s and some Sennheisers. If I get anything working I'll update you.
Razer Karia Pros! Has passive noise reduction
Has a noise-canceling microphone
1 more microphone(s) than the ASTRO A20
Supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n)
Has a battery level indicator
ASTRO A20 Pros!
Has a neodymium magnet
Compatible with PlayStation
47g lighter(318gvs365g)
Has USB Type-C
They are very similar it would most likely be chalked down to preference. I see he has an Xbox which the Razer was specifically made for. Not sure if he likes Halo but if he does this limited edition Kaira Pro
While most headsets do having some noise cancellation, they will still pick up some levels of background noise.
Whatever headset you go with, I'd recommend you look into some noise cancelling software like Krisp:
If you have the right Nvidia RTX graphcis cards, they also let you use "RTX Voice" which offers really good noise cancelling as well.
Do you want a mic boom, none?
Jabra is releasing their new Evolve2 headset lineup early next month. The Evolve2 85 is expensive ($449 USD), but if price is no object... it looks great. Over the ear design, ANC, with discreet mic boom for better noise cancelling.
No matter which headset you go with, you can always use the Krisp noise cancelling app to block background noise if the mic on your headset lets too much in.
Do you mean a 3.5mm headphone jack? Or maybe one of the larger 1/4 inch jack? I don’t know of any 4mm jacks.
If you’re mean a 3.5mm then there are plenty out there. One example:
USB to 3.5mm Jack Audio Adapter, KOOPAO 2in1 External USB Sound Card, 3.5mm Aux to USB to Audio Jack Sound Adapter Support CTIA OMTP Headphone TRRS Jack for PC Windows 10 PS4 Laptop Mac, 24Bit 96Khz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08G44JY6Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ND7FZ1CVFAQT49A4FX41?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hey can this adapter work if I connect it to an apple dongle that's connected to the mh751 since I don't have a usb c port on my pc
I have a lot of trouble speaking clearly if I can't hear myself. One solution I came up with was using a pair of open back headphones. with a V-Moda BoomPro mic. The open back allowed me to hear myself perfectly and I no longer needed an electronic monitoring solution. Keep in mind that other people will be able to hear your headphones if they are close so it might not work if you use them in a place where it would disturb other people.
If your looking for cushions by headphone types/brands, please mind these are oval whereas the Superluxes are circular. Doesn't mean other pads made for those wouldn't fit on, however, vertical space for the ears will be reduced as their original, circular pads are significally smaller than the ones quoted above. Here's the link just to get the picture:

Maybe https://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Wireless-Headphones-Detachable-Bluetooth/dp/B07Z3V4LR9/
I don't like the look of it, but I like the company, the ratings and the price is the same since this comes with the adapter.
The one I've had my eye on is https://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Quality-Bluetooth-Headphones-Wireless/dp/B07MQJVZTR/
But it looks cheap compared to my Mpow and I've read the mute button doesn't work.
I've had a Playstation 4 headset (this one) with the exact features I've mentioned. But it has an issue with the plastic frame, as it broke TWICE
The Xbox wireless adapter for PC. I had an Xbox One before i got myself a decent PC, so I just got the adapter for the controller and headset.
The reports i found were reviews on the German amazon page.

www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0875ZFB8G/ - Page says push both volume + and - to mute. The manual had no mention of this and said to flip up the mic. Both methods do absolutely nothing. Mic still hot.
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081Q5RCMV - mute button in on the mic arm on this one. Pressing, again, does absolutely nothing. Mic still hot.
The other 2 I bought at a physical store and have long since returned them. In all cases the mute function does nothing at all.
I just bought New bee usb headset, with a relatively high-cost performance. The price is less than $30 but it basically meet the needs of daily chatting and work. I have to say that its sound quality is good.
Are these okay? I don't want to spend more than 100€ on a preamp
You could try some super glue or similar inside the cavity and on the piece, then insert, hold for awhile.
My turtlebeach headset actually broke on both sides and used an epoxy type thing from amazon or home depot, can't remember. The one I used had a white and black liquid that when mixed will turn into plastic! I mixed it outside over a box, and let it dry for awhile. It is more secure than the original so I am happy with it - but obviously it wont be as pretty as a new headset.

Do you think it matters?
Check this one out. It's pretty decent and has a detachable USB cable and mic. By detachable cable I mean it is cabled but the 3.5mm disconnects from the USB dongle/cable and you can just plug it directly in to your controller.

Solid sound and fit. I used one for a while and passed it on to a friend as I switched to wireless.

Would these be good if I bought a seperate mic setup aswell? I found a pretty good mic for $30 and will pair it with a pop filter and mic arm.
The total for the Superlux and the earpads I was looking at comes to about 88$ and the total for the retros and the earpads you suggested is 99$. Is the different that great or should I go with the superlux.
These are the pads I’m referring to with the superlux: pads
If you can solder one of these might work, double check that urs is a 4 pole plug like in the picture. If not im sure u can find one the has the same as # of poles as urs.

I was under the impression the G430 was a solid budget headset, but I honestly don't know much about headsets so...
I am aware it's usually better quality-wise to buy headphones + microphone (as two different pieces rather than a combo) but this would be very impractical due to how my PC is setup.
When you say Cloud Core, I assume you refer to the Kingston HyperX Cloud Core ?
Yeah, but actually, it's the only braided cable I found. I wish I could have a headset with a fixed mic, that would give me the possibilities to change to a braid cord like this one:
He needs the Exact opposite of that. His new headset uses a 3.5mm 4 pole combo jack so he needs a Splitter like This.
V Moda Boompro (cable with boom mic at the headphone port) and an SHP9500
This will give a better experience than virtual surround sound
thanks, after some more research I found these for a killer deal today: https://www.amazon.com/Marshall-Headphones-M-ACCS-00152-Monitor-Black/dp/B00D3ITOHG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1480382526&sr=1-1&keywords=marshall+monitor
Or this if you want a tiny one
Like a combination of these two?
Nice! I was looking at getting a pair of headphones around your price range as well and almost bought those, but I wanted it to be usb so I could plug it into my ps4.
Here's the universal attachable mic. they're some of the best out there but the uni-directional with mute button is 49.99 at time of post :(
you could always get a really cheap zalman too. In the end it'll do the same job, the zalman will just pick up more background noise.
Just get this: https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-Silver-Wired-Stereo-Headset-4/dp/B00NE5D4SS and use the USB adapter that comes with it. It has all the amazing features that the Sony Gold Wireless has but wired and with any headset. And it drives my G4ME One's perfectly loud enough.
Get this if you can man! It is closed though but still a decent sound stage with the closed design and it really does sound phenomenal like the same as 200 dollar headphones. The Cloud and the Cloud 2 are basically identical but the Cloud 2 comes with a 7.1 control box for PC and stuff. But the Cloud 1 comes with just standard control box pass through for muting and volume. Both work for everything basically that has a 3.5mm. The 1 has a separate mic and audio and the Cloud 2 has 1 4 pole with mic and audio combined so the 2 would work just straight into the PS4 controller where as the Cloud 1 would need to use and adapter that combines them. I know you said under 50 but for 67 it is great which is only slightly more than you said.
https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-KHX-H3CL/dp/B00JJNQG98
If you can save up definitely get this as it comes with a PC 7.1 adapter if you care for that.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SAYCXWG
Good luck as that is probably the best headset in that price range!
EDIT: I just listened to the Cloud 1 and Cloud 2's again. They sound the same but man I was impressed all over again that they sound so great. They sound close to my G4ME Ones, and I got those for 200 dollars. I don't think you will be disappointed with the Cloud or Cloud 2. Anyway man good luck on finding a awesome headset.

I've had both of those and they work perfectlly
I can't recommend the Sennheiser G4ME One's enough. Best headset I have. Mic is really really good as well. Also extremely comfortable, at least to me. They are open so they offer a great sound stage to pin point footsteps better than any of my other headsets.
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ONE-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00KK8ZLEC
If you want wireless for PC or PS4 get the Logitech G933. They sound FANTASTIC, really they do, in my opinion. Almost as good as the G4ME Ones. And they are jam packed with tons of features. And it can go wired as well. And it can take phone calls and it can mix in audio from like 3 sources and any 3.5mm you plug into the wireless dongle will also get transmitted.
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Spectrum-Wireless-Surround-981-000585/dp/B0148NPJ78
Cool thanks! I would like to save up but my mic is pretty trash atm. So what is better the Hyper X Cloud 1 or... the logitech g430. I have been recommended the g430 also. Any opinions on that? https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Surround-Gaming-Headset-Technology/dp/B00CQ35C1Q?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0
At that price get the Hyper X Cloud 1.
http://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-KHX-H3CL/dp/B00JJNQG98
They are the same as the Cloud 2 but without the USB 7.1 Adapter thingy.
They have a closed back and sound really good but that means you wont get the same kind of sound stage to pin point footsteps in CSGO. If you can wait a bit and save up a bit more get the G4ME Ones.
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ONE-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00KK8ZLEC
They are the best I've used for FPS gaming. Mic is legendary as well.
link the HyperX cloud 2 comes with a soundcard and it's a great headset but all 7.1 virtual surround sound sucks.
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ONE-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00KK8ZLEC
Almost Never buy from the products site it will almost always cost more.
Edit: the white model is even $150. The Game One is also pretty much the best headset on the market anyways.
Hmmm, I might consider these after all then, thanks. I figured on amazon they'd be a little bit cheaper, like $200 but not that much. I also started looking into the Sennheiser U320s, they seem pretty highly rated too but are around half the cost - http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Multi-Platform-Headset-Xbox-360-63043006306200/dp/B008VQ68C4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461922447&sr=8-1&keywords=sennheiser+u320#customerReviewsOr Tough decisions.
I'm content with the quality of my Skullcandy's atm. I'm no audiophile so I don't have any kind of audio expectations. Connecting to my controller for my mic isn't an issue for me I just don't want cords running along my floor to my Xbox. I currently have a Skullcandy PLYR2 that I use for my PC, XBO, and PS4. I've only used it once or twice on the PS4 but it works great with the other two options. My main issue is that my PC is upstairs and my XBO is downstairs and, as far as I know, I'm not able to buy a standalone adapter (if it would even work. I've heard some devices are paired individually and uniquely to adapters). That means I have to disconnect my USB adapter from my PC, then connected it to my XBO, which isn't easy to get to a USB port with external HDD's and charging controllers, and re-pair the devices every time I want to swap platforms. This wouldn't be an issue if I were a consistent gamer for hours but sometimes I want to play Xbox for a half hour or hour then go jump on my PC.
love my jaybird x2's. Ditch the silicon/foam earplugs and get some heat moldable ones decibullz
its a stereo solution though, not sure if you want both ears used.
http://www.amazon.com/YCS-Basics-foot-3-5mm-conductor/dp/B00FJEGXLW
You want 4 pole (which has 3 rings). 4 pole has left audio, right audio, ground, and mic. Also known as TRRS (tip, ring, ring, sleeve).
I dont have a desktop mic. I have the V Moda Boom Pro. Its a mic that connects to most headphones with a 3.5mm detachable cable. You should check it out. As for the desktop mic. I guess it depends which one you get. Ive read of people having issues with desktop mics picking up lots of background noise. Which might annoy the people you play with. Heres a a link to the VModa
I would go for the sennheiser G4ME ZEROs. They're sleek cheaper than $200 and have nice even clean sound. Also over the ear and perfect for PC. http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-GAME-ZERO-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00GWU8FAE
I have a mechanical keyboard as well and figured the same. I've deicded to go with a Zalman after a good bit of considering. The top review swung me towards it, especially after listening to the demo.
The hyperx cloud 2 mic is a notch above the boompro. However, the sound quality of the Philips shp9500 is a significant notch above the hyperx cloud 2. The hyperx cloud uses the same drivers as the takstar hi2050 and the Gemini HSR-1000. It's a good headphone for the price, but it doesn't have as smooth of a treble response as the Philips SHP 9500, Fidelio X1/X2, or something like the Sennheiser HD 598.
I don't know what the sound difference will be with any given motherboard.
Found them for 75$ both on BBuy and Amazon
My other concern is that I would require a microphone as well which would jack the price up above my budget
For a microphone I'd probably suggest something like these:
Audio-Technica ATR-1100. Audio-Technica is really known for making really nice headphones but this mic has pretty good reviews though, you probably will need a mic stand for like $8.
Pyle-Pro PLM3. I've heard of the company Pyle but I can't remember where. This has good reviews though and it should just clip on somewhere. Clip-on mics are underrated and IMO, as good as many other mics. I have a standalone mic myself (though mine is $50).
