Firearms broke new ground in a lot of ways when it was released nearly 20 years ago. Players could create their own classes, but not in the way often seen today. Instead of limiting players to one primary and one secondary, Firearms assigned point values to different weapons and equipment; by giving players 100 points to spend, it was then up to the player to decide what they wanted. This could mean loadouts with a medkit and assault rifle, or multiple submachine guns and grenades. The possibilities were nearly endless. On top of that, each weapon had four different reload animations depending on whether the gun was empty and whether the player had the "nomenclature" perk to speed up reloads.
While it's hard to think back, I want to say my favorite gun in the game was the G3.
