I recently picked up this book, Hindi for Non-Hindi Speaking People, by Kavita Kumar, and have found it really helpful as a super in-depth grammar reference. The PDF is available for free online as well.
I wouldn't just read the book straight through. Rather, I've been reading children's stories and similar content, and when I encounter grammar I'm confused about, I'll then use this book to find similar examples and constructions. Good luck!
It's an app. I like it. There are a lot of electronic audio resources he can d/l from his library as well. I think the free audio uploaded by Hindi tutor Suresh Kumar is more educational, https://player.fm/series/learn-hindi-daily-show-i-speak-hindi. http://www.gadgetnate.com/ispeakhindi-com
I bought a deck of devanagari alphabet flashcards like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0848RMP3W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_PXGSFbPRK6H9K
And carried them in my pockets all day. In one pocket I had cards I was currently reviewing, in the other pocket was cards I had not yet gotten to. Every hour or two, I'd do like a 30 second review of all the cards. If I felt comfortable with them I'd add a couple more. In a week's time you should definitely be comfortable enough to read a children's book in devanagari especially if you already understand Hindi written in English script.

It looks like it’s the same - I recognized the cover right away. Perhaps the difference in authors has to do with different international publishing licenses or something
Hindi Kahaniyan -- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cbinternational.hindikahaani -- Hundreds of children's stories, including classics like Akbar Birbal.
Hindi Stores -- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.saiuniversalbookstore.HindiStories -- Thousands of children's stories. Offline Compatible. Has a dark mode, can bookmark favourite stories.
I am not sure if they are on Apple Store, but I am sure there are similar ones.

You can also find books on Amazon Kindle, but there are not many unless you use a VPN which doesn't always work
Got it. If I may ask, which publication you are reading? One way you may want to think about is to have Spanish Geeta on the side. That way you can refer to Spanish version when facing difficulty. It may slow you down in the beginning but it will get better with practice.

May Geeta shine the light of knowledge on you! 😀
Yeah, I faced the same issue with Word. I think it is a problem with Word.
To fix it, I changed the editor to TextMate, it worked fine. I copy pasted my translation, changed the font and it worked like magic.
Can you try that? It does not have to be TextMate, anything besides Word will be fine.
If things do not work out, let me know what font size you require, I will paste them.
For now, you can download font 12, Kanika-condensed translation file here - http://www.sendspace.com/file/328ma5
Tried it out! I really appreciate the speaking section amd now after going through the practice a few times I can see my scores improving and my accent adjusting. I feel this is a really useful feature for beginner speakers who will feel embarassed by their accent when starting to speak 😅
It reminded me of an app I have really enjoyed using to practice my Chinese on ios: HelloChinese https://fnd.io/#/us/ios-universal-app/1001507516-hellochinese-learn-chinese-by-hellochine
I also think the focus on sentence-based texts was helpful to begin grasping grammar. I previously studied for 2 months woth Drops app to gain vocabulary before travelling to India with my husband. My main goal at the time was simply to increase my listening skills to pick up a few words for context, since I had little time to prepare before travelling. The next steps for me are to build grammar skills so I can compose sentences and to practice speaking.
Overall I think the app is well designed. My recommendations would be to add more explanation of the points system with bananas and stars (maybe I skipped past it too fast?) and to add the option to change the profile details after logging in with Google/Facebook (perhaps I don't want my real name in the leaderboard).
The only other suggestion I have is to increase customization if possible by letting users choose a gender so they can use the grammar that applies to themselves when making sentences in the first person. I can see sometimes there is the female monkey response in the chatbot but sometimes there is not :)

Also note: As the app title is in Hindi, once installed the app will be placed last in your App menu.
I'd recommend Teach Yourself Beginner's Hindi Script by Rupert Snell
When I was a kid, my parents sent me to the StarTalk Hindi summer camp, and this is the book they use to teach the alphabet.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but as far as the basic Hindi vocabulary is concerned, you could use apps like the Beginner Hindi (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shex.beginnerhindi) to learn on your own from scratch and at your own convenience.
