if the issue is with an Android phone. I use this for my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus to connect with a 2016 F-Type, before using this app the connection would drop and reconnect every few seconds before finally stabilising after about 10 minutes
I have owned a X308 XJR, so same body. The Naturally Aspirated, XJ8, cars have some more fragile bits; specifically the thermostat housing is made of plastic. I can't tell from your video if your car has had this upgrade; but if you're messing with the cooling system, pop this in during the work:
https://www.amazon.com/Jaguar-Aluminum-Thermostat-Housing-Seals/dp/B07LBYMFRD
It can be many reasons it is leaking, but as a matter of course; if the thermostat housing is plastic, buy that and replace it. You'll be glad you did later!
If you end up having to touch the hard plastic lines for the cooling system, like from the coolant expansion tank to the radiator and such, they get brittle VERY fast. I have replaced them TWICE in the 11 years I've owned my XKR. They also have connectors called "Norma" connectors and they can be finicky and break too. I would just plan on replacing these during the cooling system repair. Do those and the tstat and yeah, you added a hundred bucks in parts, but hopefully this type of red pee happens less often lol!
If the car has not had the timing bits addressed at all, you need to at least replace the secondary tensioners with metal bodied units as they are known engine killers; generally the guides and primary tensioner bits are not the sudden death without warning the secondaries can be. Basically they can physically fall apart, the motor jumps time and pistons meet valves in a violent inner engine street fight; often in the XK8 and XJ8 costing more than is financially prudent to repair.
Welcome to the club and have fun! I mention these issues but these are fun cars that with a bit of lovin' can be affordable, enjoyable cars.
So the magnets are these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071W3661J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Then you attach them to the dash lip above the infotainment.
Then place the other side of magnet on the tablet.
Really useful when taking off the tablet easily.
The infotainment stays on and magnets doeant harm it.
Look like a TPMS initiator:

Thanks man! As bad as it sounds i got them on amazon 😂 Its just a cover that goes over the stock vent. It was cut perfectly and actually does have the holes that line up with the original. Has a good adhesive too. I cleaned the stock ones like crazy before i put them on and I havent had any issues. Here's one from Amazon
Excellent!
Also, I found this phone mount to sit on the ashtray lid and combined with a low profile right angled usb cable and 12v usb charger means no messy wires: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DFZHDRK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You need one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bovee-Integration-Wireless-Bluetooth-interface Don't be tempted by cheap alternates, many don't work.
Before trying to paint the leather you should do a thorough detailing and conditioning first. Is it torn or cracking or just a little discolored? It may just be dirty and need a good cleaning and conditioning. Get a two pet cleaner and conditioner like chemical guys or Lexie and go to town on it with some detailing brushes. You may be surprised and end up with better results than painting.

Bear in mid that these are all 5 3/4 headlights. If you have a euro spec xj the outer lights will be 7 inches.
These are the pins I used. They screw into the foam backing. Glue will not (usually) work.
It's probably a replica of the "badge" on the nose of the Jaguar R2 F1 car shown here (https://www.startpage.com/av/proxy-image?piurl=https%3A%2F%2Ffarm1.static.flickr.com%2F627%2F32456586495_1be87d455f.jpg&sp=1620917440T2b48b1434a40fb1a782845c967978dc0cda416d0473d2aca39d5a92575359b14).
The badge on that car is a sticker, though, and not an actual badge so it's obviously not the same piece.
No prob! I’d also suggest a trim pry bar if you don’t already have one. Makes taking off the interior trim a breeze for routing the hardwired cable.
This is the one I got (it was on sale and cheapest at the time, make sure whatever you get is plastic)

You can also get a shop to install it for you if you don’t want to bother.
I highly suggest hard wiring your dash cam, this way you don’t have to deal with wires running around your cabin. It may sound daunting, but I did it for the first time in my life with zero experience on my F Type and it took me 20 minutes and looks great!
As far as brand and type, I don’t need/want a screen on it to reduce size, so I went with this and the “parking mode cable” to hardwire. If you go hardwire route and use the fuse box like I did, be sure to get a couple extra fuses from wherever or your local auto shop.

I bought this for my 2010 XK and it works perfectly, it plugs into the iPod connection under the armrest. I'm able to connect my phone to this device and the car simultaneously so can still make/take calls etc: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Airdual-Interface-Adaptor-Connector-Including/dp/B07RMHVJ6P
Sure it’s here, couldn’t find the 8 pack though so a bit more than £4 :)
UPDATE : I purchased some CR2032 3V batteries from Amazon and my key fob works as new. Responds to all and works just great. The batteries probably were never changed since 2017 and now it’s Feb 2021, so they last almost 4 years.
This the battery I purchased

currently on sale on Amazon (UK) for £27. Should be £85...
I got an android tablet and this device: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QGZ9W1D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_o0YRDbJ8GNYGY
After a month or so of usage though, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a bad idea. The tablet isn’t built to be used this way. It keeps running out of charge. I only use it for long trips now and that too only because I don’t want to remove the tablet mount and leave a blemish :(
I have a '16 XF and a Pixel 2 XL and this problem kept happening to me from day one. After searching around for a bit, I came across this on one of the Jaguar forums:
>Try downloading an app called Bluetooth Phonebook. It solved my problems.
I tried it last night on my Pixel and it seemed to work seamlessly! It connected both phone and music almost as soon as I turned the car on and started playing my music immediately and didn't disconnect once. Gonna test it out a bit more but I'm pleased so far.
Here's the link to the app I tried: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android_rsap.irmc
It really depends...for example, here's a set of rear brake pads that fit our Jag for $36..and the sensors for $26 each...at the delearship, it would be double...I called on these exact same sensors and the dealership wanted $50 for each one:
I bought this one off of amazon https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Transmitter-LDesign-Wireless-Smartphone/dp/B01CC7YMVG/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1508798402&sr=8-15&keywords=car+fm+transmitter I have an '03 X-type and it works great and is pretty cheap!
There is a lot of literature on the Jaguar E-Type because, apart from say the Mini or Bettle, it was the icon of the '60s and '70s. Johnathan Wood's book is an excellent history of the Model.
