I had the same issue.
I ended up blowing on the handle for a few mintues :(
I bought one of these off amazon.
Works a treat.
The charger that I got is the Keruida Portable 240 V Charger. It's made by the same people who make ZenCar and they've been around for a few years.
I've confirmed that the charger works with 120 V power (you have to get an EV specific NEMA 14-50 adapter). The only thing the charger is missing is a 12 A setting. But you can set the EV6 on "minimum" charging current, which is 60%, and set the Keruida charger on 20 A.
60% of 20 A is 12 A.
They make stands with a suction cup at the base I think. You might be able to fix that onto a surface on the dash or the upper center console by the shifter?
This one has been solid ever since I first used it. Mounted since last winter next to my shifter knob it's handled all sorts of phones light bulky or heavy (Samsung note 9 and xiaomi mi note series among the largest so far) as well as quick acceleration switching from eco to fast sport mode. I'd say just keep the inside temperature regulated with a windshield cover during summer as higher temps weaken the adhesive on the suction cup mount.
Of course you'll never really know unless you buy and try. Good luck.

My 12v died just around 3 months after purchase. I couldn't unlock the car, turn it on or anything. Had to use the actual key to unlock it. AAA came out and jumped it. This happened 3 more times so took it to the dealer. The tested and found it wouldn't hold a full charge. I think it wouldn't go above 10%. What's scary is the dealer said that KIA won't allow replacement unless the battery test says failed but they said they were replacing it anyway. I don't know if that was BS or not but makes me a little nervous. So yes I do keep a battery jumper in the car. I bought it from Amazon, and it seems to be pretty good so far.
Correct. V2L connects to a 10 gauge, 25-foot extension cord which you see connected to the twistlock adapter. The adapter is a 5-15P to L14-20R (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071VGW6BF?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) - that is what matched the plug on my transfer switch. I've seen posts of other folks who had different adapters required for theirs. Some use a 5-15P to L-14-30R adapter.
So far I have just done a quick test with the car providing the power to lights, computers and furnace. Also on the switch are my well pump and a sump pump since spring storms can coincide with power outages. In the past I've used my generator for a few days when needed. I don't have any 240V appliances or tools in my home; I have been told that the setup I have would not be appropriate to power any 240V item.
Of course, I've also got access to the 120V AC outlet in the back seat, which I might run an extension cord from, to run my refrigerator. And my Nissan Leaf sits next to it, with a 60KwH battery and a 1000W inverter. Less convenient, bu useful.
Specifically I'm looking at this: 5-15P to L14-20R adapter.
If have a 120VAC to generator adapter for my V2L. I estimate I can run my home for about 4 days. This does not include Hot water/full AC, but does include a small window unit.

This is the one I have and checks off all the boxes.
Thank you for the link. After a couple tries, we found this one that puts it to the left behind the driver's seat.

I got this one: Rove dashcam; got it for $82 during a Lightning sale; it doesn't use a capacitor so if your vehicle is regularly subjected to high temps it might not be the best choice. I've only had it for less than two months now but so far, so good--it's the one from which I was able to pull a very nice video quality capture of the driver opening his door right in front of my EV6.
You have three options.
A twin mattress is 38" x 75". The rectangular shape will fit and maximize the full width of the narrowest part of the cargo area. You can find sheets and blankets easily for this size.
Self inflating foam mattress. $250 to $300 for twin size. Open the valve, allow air to come in over 10 to 30 minutes, add a little air at the end. These are the highest cost, take some space to stow, and it may get punctured.
Inflatable mattress. They sell some sized for a SUV such as the Tesla model Y. Your vehicle will take the same size. Some are under $100. This may get punctured. It has to be blown up with a blower or foot pump. Some get blown up in 2 to 3 sections. I believe this would be the least comfortable. I think back to all the inflatable pool toys I've had bad experiences with and decided to stay away from this.
Foam twin size mattress. $140. Nothing to puncture. This takes the most space when you roll it up and stow in the storage bag. I bought one yesterday and slept on it last night. It was just right.
I have a 240V transfer switch too, but I only have 120V circuits attached to it. I bought this adapter which ties both phases of together which basically makes it a 6 circuit 120V transfer switch.
It's pricey when compared to EVSEs that only do Level 1 charging, but I bought the Shell Recharge portable EVSE, as it can do a variety of AC charging speeds: 12 Amp (for 15 Amp 120V AC circuits, specifically a NEMA 5-15 outlet) all the way up to 40 Amp (for 50 Amp 240V AC circuits, specifically a NEMA 14-50 outlet). There is also a Recharge model that caps out at 32 Amps (for 40 Amp circuits). I'm using it as my Level 2 EVSE most of the time, and it just stays hung on my wall and plugged in. But occasionally when I go on my once every 1-2 months road trips, I'll be unplugging it and stowing it in the car to take with as a portable EVSE that can do either Level 1 or Level 2 charging.
It's $500 (plus tax), but you'll be hard pressed to get a good quality Level 2 EVSE AND a separate portable Level 1 EVSE that is also of good quality for less money.
You can buy it on Amazon. Link.
If by "glossy plastics" you mean the black-colored exterior plastic trim like the ones on the A/B/C pillars, then I'm no plastic restoration expert but if it turns out that the swirls can't be permanently removed then I suggest using something like this--Poorboy's Show Glaze; it won't permanently remove swirls/scratches but does a great job IMHO of masking them and stays on for a decently-long time. I'm no shill for the product, but just a satisfied customer--my black pillar trim had scratches/swirls as a result of someone else's aggressive use of a wash cloth, and the Poorboys did an excellent job of polishing over it.

Smaller than TeslaTap and priced cheaper than the mini
If none of the USB ports power off, an easy and inexpensive solution would be to use a dongle with a power switch.
Here's an example:

The only downside? You have to remember to manually turn it off when you leave the car.

They also sell these on [Amazon](https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09Z3R5KMK\).
Personally I think for the price these are perfect, but there could definitely be some improvements on fit. As the holes didn't all quite lineup for me.
I like the “hammock” style seat protectors. I just ordered a new one that looks like it will work with the EV6.
Can’t really recommend this brand specifically as I haven’t used it yet but I know this style works well for me and my pup.

Here is the link to it. I have contemplated getting it as an emergency charger for the car when we go on road trips. Just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.
I got one of these (R RUIYA Center Console Organizer... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09N3GQTPB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ) for my garage door remote and other small accessories. Still leaves the space underneath it in the console for larger things.
Its actually cheaper than I remember at $20. Has controls to go to music and change color and I get it mounted near where my right knee sits in the driver's seat. Had it installed for 4 years on my current car, never an issue.

The link is broken. Here is the one I used to do 317 miles of road trip Vgate vLinker MC+ Bluetooth OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scan Tool. It works great and I can use it with the CarScanner app to monitor the EV6's battery pack temps when DCFC to see if it is thermal limiting charging.
I've used this one on my ID.4 and now my EV6 with no issues, connects up with ABRP easily and its pretty cheap and inconspicuous.
I've been told these are reliable and good but I haven't tried yet. Still waiting for my damn car
Just get a 12V booster pack, that's all you need. No different than jump starting a regular ICE car, just easier because you don't need a second vehicle. Odds are you won't need it for years. Every 6 months I take mine out of my cars and recharge them to make sure they are topped off.
I keep one of these in each of my cars. https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GB40-UltraSafe-Lithium-Starter/dp/B015TKUPIC
It's overkill for an EV, the 500A model would probably do just fine. But this one also will start my other ICE cars if need be.
Once the car is running the 12V battery will charge on its own.
I had a dead 12v battery twice so bought this Bluetooth battery monitor, it's the app for it. Amazon UK link
I looked at those options along with charge point flex, ended up with

I wonder how it's comparable to charge point
I got a scosche PBJ700. Its expensive at $128, but I got it mostly so I can jump friends ice cars. EV’s can’t jump.

Learned the hard way in my 2017 Volt when it was new and had some teething issues -- some kind of fuse blew and the high voltage wasn't able to top off low voltage, but you could still drive around.
At least until the 12V battery went too low then all hell broke loose, this happened as I was driving down the highway. Whole problem could have been solved with a jumper pack and saving about 3 hours of my life and a ride in a tow truck to the dealership.
I personally went with this one - about $100 and love it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08M41FX48/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You should be able to get a pretty basic one. The 12V just runs basic electronics for the vehicle, so it doesn't require tons of amperage for a starter. I bought this one for $50:
This was a fun little project.
I've purchased this from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H7TMVTG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The tow hook bolt screwed into the front tow hook without issue. But the bolt was 3 inches too short, and it was recessed into the car.
I took the bolt to a machine shop and had them extend it by three inches. They sanded off the paint to complete the extension, so I had it powder coated to protect it from the elements.
To mount it, I had to mount the plate to the very top right screw hole to avoid triggering the front parking sensors.
Hopefully there will be a proper adapter, but this was how I got a front license plate bracket for my car.
There are quite a few of this style of tray floating around Amazon. This is the one I bought and am very happy with: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09MZ8KSNG/
I'm still looking for some kind of divider for the pit under the center console. Right now it doesn't really get used because anything you put down there just rolls or bangs around.
Chargepoint, works well
ChargePoint Home Flex Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger, 16 to 50 Amp, 240V, Level 2 WiFi Enabled EVSE, UL Listed, ENERGY STAR, NEMA 14-50 Plug or Hardwired, Indoor / Outdoor, 23-foot cable , Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WXZDHGV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_KW0WFFX3613DH4YBFD4P
I went thru the dealerships parts department and ordered them. They ship them to their shop and you can look at them before deciding to purchase.
One other accessory that I found extremely useful for me is the tray for the center console arm rest. That thing is so deep and impractical for smaller items.
I'm using the Carlinkit wireless CarPlay unit and couldn't be happier with it. Worked right out of the box. Automatically connects to my EV6 via bluetooth within seconds as soon as I turn on the car. Other than a couple of times when it couldn't connect easily or lost the connection, I have had no glitches or lag with it at all (using it for 1 month now). VERY happy with it!
/u/Veejp123 is a nice version, for your consideration, for myself I bought the mini version (https://www.amazon.com/CarlinKit-Wireless-CarPlay-Adapter-Factory/dp/B09TH4XYHZ/) I saw reviews on youtube channel Carplay Life and found this is the fastest/most stable option for the price! I'm really happy about the mini version.
One minor detail I found is when the EV6 is charging at home, the dongle stays on, and my phone stays connected to CarPlay. I put my EV6 on charger at 4 PM, and at 11 PM when I got to bed, my phone was still connected to CarPlay, I just reactivated wifi on my phone and it disconnected. Otherwise, they are great products.

This harness taps off the wires leading to the rear view mirror (auto-dimming or homelink) and provides a single USB port. It works perfectly. It’s very easy to install; and paired with a short (6”) USB cable everything tucks cleanly into the trim around the mirror/windshield sensors.

Thanks!
We had a Model Y on order to replace our 3. We were thinking about having a Y and the EV6 until my wife got to ride in the EV6 for a while and discovered it's just much better (for our tastes) than the Tesla experience. There are obviously things Tesla does that it'd be nice to have in the EV6, but ultimately we like the EV6 more.
As an EV nerd it's nice to have both. I get to see if Tesla figures out FSD first-hand while also experiencing a really nice EV from outside the Tesla bubble.
I ordered this. Just got my car yesterday and this won't deliver until tomorrow so I don't have any experience with it yet.
