They have a built in pre-amp so that and the player are all you need to be good to go. I was able to get em for 100 during an amazon Prime Day sale last year. So, keep an eye out for deals like that!

So the best brands are Audio Technica and Fluance, some like Sony too. I wanted a starter Fluance but didn’t want to pay their prices, didn’t want to deal with amps or separate input output in my temporary apartment, AND wanted it belt driven lol. Had to do some research to find one cheaper but comparable to the Fluance RT80 with the above aspects. This turntable is called 1 by One. I got it for only $139.99 and on Amazon! Didn’t like the color when I bought it but it’s actually very nice in person. Loved it so far. Definitely a steal for $140. A bit difficult to set up because of having to balance the counter weight perfectly and put on the anti-skate weight, but nothing a YouTube video couldn’t help with.

In general I would stick to Audio technica, Fluance, Uturn, Pioneer, Sony. The first 2, which are the top choice ones, were a little too pricey for a starter table for me so after doing research to find one with most of the same qualities as those above, I went with this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S5XSTCW/

The LP60 requires a separate Amp and Speakers to be purchased as well, with could be another $100-200, the T150B has a built in Amp and speakers that come with it, they aren’t the best quality speakers but definitely not bad at all, pretty average overall. Really depends on what you yourself prefer, this is a great step up from the briefcase Id say, the LP60 is great as well. Both have the same audio technica needle, so quality is about the same there.

But really it’s up to you, any turntable (from a reputable brand) in the $200-500 range is going to be miles better than any suitcase player. I just got the T150B because it was on sale at the time lol

I couldn't find a place to buy one of these so I made one! I think most people could accomplish this, I'd never used a jigsaw when I started this. I'm a handy guy and do a lot of random projects, but my experience with wood previous to this was cutting various rectangles for various reasons. The whole thing is cut out of one continuous piece of wood, no separate pieces to screw or glue together!
Materials:
3/4" thick plywood/particle board, at least a 35"x35" section
Jigsaw + small fine blade ($20 at harbor freight!)
Sand paper
white spray paint

Drill
one large drill bit (bigger than your jigsaw blade, to help jig saw the inner pieces)
one small drill bit (size of your wood screws)
8 small (1/2" length) wood screws
One 1" wood screw if you want to use scrap wood as a compass
Whole project probably cost $120 in consumables, most of which was the $80 mirror. I had a drill, bits, and screws already. $20 of plywood is included in that but I actually already had that laying around.
On top of that $120, then the jig saw and blade was another ~$40 but I'm happy to own for future projects! There's a cheaper one than what I bought as well.

That might go a long way. Cats are fairy prone to liver problems cause they don’t really drink as much as they should. I think that might make a bigger difference. Liver problems are actually pretty common with cats because they don’t choose to drink as much as they should.
This is the one we got and both my cats love it. It gets a little noisy when it runs low but your little lady will always have as much as she can drink with it.
