It will show up at launch. They said above in the faq that you will also be able to go to the PlayStation store and mafia definitive edition will say owned instead of purchase at launch.
The trench coat and fedora outfit isn't from Mafia 1. It's called The Classico. I got it on my PS4 after linking my account to 2k https://mafiagame.com/news/mafia-2k-account-rewards
At launch they posted a news article on their website that said the following:
" Mafia: Definitive Edition has been a labor of love for Hangar 13 and will continue to be even now that the game has launched. We've been paying close attention to your feedback, and we're planning to update the game with additional HUD customization options and some other cool stuff in the coming weeks. Check back for more details soon. "
So it's possible we may see the diamond addressed in the future!

Sounds like it is only available at launch like with trilogy owners like me. Bummer. But it should unlock in about 3 and a half hours. It should show up in our game library or u can go to mafia definitive edition in the PlayStation store and it should say owned instead of buy like it does now. So we can download it from there or from our library at launch.

Found the answer on official Mafia website FAQ:
Q: If I purchase the Mafia: Trilogy digitally, why don't I see Mafia: Definitive Edition in my game library?
A: If you purchase the Mafia: Trilogy through either console or PC storefronts, Mafia: Definitive Edition will be added to your Library upon release on September 25, 2020. Only the Definitive Editions for Mafia II and Mafia III will populate your game library prior to this date.
Looks like we will not be able to preload the game :(
Hopefully this helps
"HDR and 4K resolution are supported on PC as well as on PlayStation®4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles."

Yeah saints row was always cool im not sure on this new one though ill have to wait on that and see how it pans out since it looked really far off what saints 2/3 were.
Im not sure how far you are in 3 but if you arent super far in this dev guide on what zones to follow makes the repetitiveness not as bad https://mafiagame.com/news/mafia-iii-story-path/ tosses the dlcs in the mix and helps you set up earlier in game for the best upgrades/income as last dlc for m3 is super $$ intensive i guess?
On PC via GOG.com:
Gangsters - Old strategy game. Tough to run on a modern OS.
Gangland - isometric gangster game. Fun - not deep at all, and no great story to speak of. But worth playing if you need to scratch that gangster itch.
Omerta - City of Gangsters. Strategy game. It's fun to play - kinda quirky but worth picking up on sale.
Mob Rule - basically Sim City meets gangsters? Super cartoony but loved it as a kid.
On consoles:
Yakuza - mentioned elsewhere, saw you didn't like it but figured I'd include it on the list in case others come reading.
Sleeping Dogs - Awesome game with similiar gameplay, but set in Hong Kong.
Obviously the GTA/Saints Row games are in the same vein from a 3rd person crime perspective, but aren't specifically mafia (except for Liberty City Stories mentioned elsewhere on the thread, but even that is a bit of a stretch).
I wish the Godfather games were backwards compatible. I sold my 360 a few years ago and haven't been able to get them on PC.
Not exactly what you asked - but if you're just looking for screen entertainment, there are some awesome shows you could check out that are mafia themed: Boardwalk Empire really feels like Mafia DE at some parts, Sopranos, Godfather movies. I'm sure there are others too.
Sure, here is a link to it Contest Winners I am Matthew (my nickname in the picture is "Il Duce" it should hopefully be pretty easy to find, especially since there were only 5 winners)
No, I meant it the other way around. if the DE versions have the classics.
I accidentally found my answer here https://mafiagame.com/news/mafia-trilogy-faq/
>Q: If I already own Mafia II on PC, do I need to also purchase Mafia II: Definitive Edition? > >[... ] Any new purchases of Mafia II: Definitive Edition, or Mafia: Trilogy will also give you “Mafia II (Classic)” on Steam PC only. Original Mafia II (Classic) saved games are transferable to Mafia II: Definitive Edition on Steam PC only.
but it doesn't mention anything about mafia 1. guess warez will have to do. shame
They said there'd be continued support - but didn't say what that would look like and never used wording like "content" or anything. Makes me think it's probably just patches and stuff like that. That said, I'd love if they added some things (especially to Free Ride - maybe some new Free Ride missions, trains, outfits, etc).

Yeah man, when you go to the mafia game website https://mafiagame.com/buy?release=mafia-definitive-edition and go through the different countries, you'll see a bunch of countries only have the Playstation and/or Xbox digital version. Bahrain and Kuwait aren't even on the list! As for Saudi Arabia, it's only available as Playstation digital.
Very unfortunate...I was really looking forward to playing it on PC.

It will show up at launch in a few hours. Also they said the mafia 1 definitive edition on the PlayStation store will sat owned at launch. Right now it says buy.
https://mafiagame.com/news/mafia-trilogy-faq/
It will show up in your library at launch. No need to repurchase. Also in the PlayStation store the mafia definitive edition will show up as owned so u can download it from there. All of us who bought the trilogy on playstation are in the same boat
I read in the FAQ on the official website (https://mafiagame.com/news/mafia-trilogy-faq/) for the game that it wiill show up in your library at launch, but that you can also go the the playstation network store and select mafia definitive edition and it will say purchased and you can download it from there. Right now it says buy. But at launch in around 8 hours it should change.

The game comes out 7 PM Eastern, meaning that it’ll be 6 PM Central, 5 PM Mountain, and 4 PM Pacific I believe.
Official link about it here.
The demo is fun, the game however often falls into a repetitive gameplay loop with disappointing story beats and horrible bugs to match, it doesn't help that the colors are very murky and brown looking, either way you should still be able to have fun with the dlc's and gameplay. I recommend using this guide to avoid getting bored or feeling like your doing the same thing over and over again, https://mafiagame.com/news/mafia-iii-story-path/.
For PC it's only on Steam on the mafiagame.com website and on the 2K website, R$229.90 same as Steam. The funny part is that on PS4 it's cheaper, at R$164,90. I play on PC so doesn't matter, but that's weird.
According to this official guide "MAFIA III LEAD WORLD DESIGNER'S PREFERRED PLAYTHROUGH" I'd say that they are supposed to take place during the main story.

It's from the official website my dude! That's as official as it gets! It's right here.

Amongst other things, Petr Rychlý for Paulie has also been confirmed, his voice actor confirmed it on instagram where upon being asked by a fan in a post "Will you be playing Paulie again?" he said "Yes".

It seems they are getting as much of the classic Czech cast back as possible
The description on mafiagame.com says "The beautiful presentation, with stunning visuals that are 4K/HDR-ready and a sweeping soundscape featuring an original score, breathe new life into this vision of organized crime in 1930s America. "
What do you mean? Physical seems to be available for both Xbox and PlayStation, with only PC not having one. https://mafiagame.com/buy/
**DEPENDING ON COUNTRY. For example Finland has physical copies, while US doesn't.
