Many of his books have been described as “post-post-modern” though, and he never proclaimed himself as post-modernist. This article breaks it down really well: http://www.openculture.com/2017/02/david-foster-wallace-on-whats-wrong-with-postmodernism-a-video-essay.html
His work illuminates what a world like ours influenced so much by post-modernism is like, and I like to think offers a path—not backwards to what everything was before like Peterson seems so often to want to do—but a path forward that accepts what we’ve irrevocably realized/become, and applies the old traditions in a new way whenever they are capable of applying. That’s poorly worded, but I agree with you that his earnestness is contagious, and anyone reading this would be doing themselves a big favor by reading his work. (:
Sounds like we should use some kind of metaphor or allegory, for things we want other to understand .... anyway I just wanted to say thank you, for writing this up. I think you are right and as im looking into giving away my knowledge on some subjects, maybe i can use this to make it easier for me to talk about it and for others to learn.
In a nutshell, its a powerful personal wiki requiring very little effort to set up.
Don't use it for anything that you are not prepared to lose, its still Beta. I'm taking a risk on it because it is so powerful in helping me think and make connections.
I hope that Peterson makes use of James DeMeo's great work on Marx and the other communist leaders:
