If you play on Steam, the "DLC" sometimes goes on sale when they have their big sales. I snagged the $99 package for $10 last winter sale - 30K HP for $10! Set for life.
The $2 Bugle Pittance is enough to get you the Bonus Rewards for 1 month.
If you install the Google Opinion Rewards app on your Android phone or your iPhone, as long as you're going out & about on a regular basis you should earn enough from surveys to buy the Bugle Pittance once a month.
Wait, what?!?!
OMG! I had 103 Google Play Points. I don't know how many I've had previously, if they've expired and I haven't noticed, but I now have 3 points because I just exchanged 100 for $1 Play credit. I just got 50% towards my next Bugle Pittance purchase! :D
For those playing on Android don't forget about the Google Opinion Rewards app, too.
I'm not super hardcore anymore so I no longer buy VIP. Yes, I am a cheapskate. I buy a Bugle Pittance once a month to keep the PvE bonus rewards rolling in, and Google Opinion Rewards has been easily funding my MPQ habit for a few years now. I've even used it to buy VIP occasionally. Usually when my Play credit balance goes above $20.
Yes, I use this setup myself on an iPhone in combination with Android emulators.
On your iPhone, in MPQ settings you'll need to enable Facebook integration (and have the Facebook iOS app). The game saves cross-platform using Facebook.
In the Android emulator, you'll need to set it up with a Google account and the Facebook Android app (in addition to MPQ).
(FYI, for Android emulators on PC I prefer Andy after having tried BlueStacks - http://www.andyroid.net . Andy is much closer to a clean Android install and avoids Bluestacks' heavy-handed advertising. On OS X I use Genymotion.)
Time to talk some Bond. Ian and Ray are right. The 80s are Roger Moore territory. Never say Never again is not considered official by some Bond fans as it was not produced by the same group as the rest of the Bond films. The movie was released the same year as an "official" Bond movie staring Moore. The title, is a reference to Connery saying he'd never play Bond again.
These are some of the highlights that made this Bond film unique (aside from a cool video game). Read more here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Say_Never_Again
Edit, I was going highlight this by taking a picture of the box set I own, but forgot to take the picture. So instead check out the Amazon Listing for the 50th Anniversary collection. Notice in the Customer's Also bought section is Never Say Never Again because it's not included. (the top review also lists out what's included and notes that NSNA is omitted for the reasons I mentioned above.
Only spend HP on Roster Slots and join an alliance asap for added rewards.
Pick two 2★ and focus on leveling them. My suggestion is OBW(3/5/5) and Thor(3/5/5) or Ares(4/4/5), who you can use in PVP. Once you have two fairly fleshed 2★ + one or two mostly covered sell all your 1★ other then Juggs, level Juggs to >25 for DDP. Don't bother recruiting Bagman, Moonstone or 2★ Cap until you're further along. Use their covers for much needed ISO.
Additional if you play on android the Google Rewards App lets you take surveys for money (usually around $0.25) which over time you can use to buy HP.
Ha ha! I've been playing for 3+ years and I know I've spent over $100 on MPQ in that time, but a majority of that was credit earned from taking Google Surveys. I can't redeem that for real cash, so I just use it to buy other mobile games, or HP from time to time.

Merc : mercenary :
I go in another alliance temporarly with my score to boost the overall alliance score to rank higher, yielding better rewards and then proceed to go back to my regular alliance with friends
100% agree with wetzilla and jffdougan. Some thoughts: Only spend HP on roster slots. Try and save every 3★ cover you get if possible, though some 3★ are fairly crap (Def save 4★). Focus on leveling OBW(3/5/5) and either Ares(4/4/5) or Thor(3/5/5), use them to win PVP. Grab Juggs and lvl him to around 25 then sell all other 1★, he will be for DDP. Sell 2★ Cap and Daken, replace them with DP and Blade or LC. Add 2★ Daken back to your roster once you can afford the ISO to lvl (you wont miss him with only 2 covers) If you play on android DL the Google Rewards App, use the money you get from taking surveys to buy HP.
Marvel Comics app and Marvel Unlimited app are not the same thing.
Unlimited: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marvel.unlimited
Marvel Comics: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marvel.comics
You could build something up with the help of an overlay app. I'm currently using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.applay.overlay to add a countdown timer and a stopwatch to my fights for statistical purposes. This tool can be configured with different overlay widgets that automatically pop up when you open the configured app, resize, reposition etc. There's no "i need these three colors today" widget but you could build up something to your needs, perhaps with the text widget or the count widget.
Well then it just proves that the MPQ community wants the same things, which reinforces my point. There's a game developer who put up a trello of the features they're working on based on the suggestions forum they read daily (but not necessarily answer). Just the fact they read it is a very good sign of community engagement. But again, all depends if they're independant on their development strategy or just rely on a producer that tell them what to do based on in-game stats.
Risk Legacy is a board game that has been out for about a decade now that comes with a Risk board that is DESIGNED to be written on and have stickers attached. (It comes with some.) Every time you play, you write 1 new rule/bridge/limit on a country that FOREVER becomes a new permanent rule for that country every time you play.
Thus, the game is always changing with probably a few billion different possible combinations of special rules.
It seems we need some remedial statistics up in here. We need to use hypergeometric distribution for each set of 40 pulls. It's a fancy name for binomial distribution probability WITHOUT replacements (can't get the same pull twice).
The result is a 0.025 probability of having to pull all 40 cards to get the one you want.
However, you can't combine these two events using hypergeometric distribution, because they are two distinct events WITH replacements. So then we can use binomial distribution, which says the probability of having two events of p=0.025 each is 0.000625. That's pretty low, but we are only talking about two events.
Remember, the binomial distribution is based on pure randomness, so the more often we do this, the more likely this is going to happen to someone at some point. If we crank up the trials to 100 times, then p=.0258. In other words, the probability of pulling two full 40's happens about 2.58% of the time for every 100 vaults. This tells us that in your time on on MPQ there's a significant chance that you will get the full 40 pull scenario multiple times, and having them back to back is coincidence and not a reflection of probability.
Someone is going to argue that you can compute the probability of two rare events occurring in sequence. I don't see the point, because again you're talking about the distribution of events over the long term, when random is random. Saying something should or shouldn't happen due to the value of p when something is RANDOM is a strange argument. It can and does happen, where probability is a matter of how often over many events, not a single event.
Look. Just because I have Splunk Enterprise installed at home, feeding all my Router, NAS, and system logs into it for analysis doesn't mean I have a problem.
