Hungry Valley Recreation Area and Rowher Flats OHV Recreation Area are two of the closest and large off-road areas. Rowher is about an hour or so from LAX. They do require a SoCal park pass you can pick up at a variety of locations or outdoors stores. Year pass is around $30. Hundreds of miles of trail between just those two places.
I'm thinking we will meet at 11 AM the Citibank at 974 South Westlake Boulevard Westlake Village, CA 91361 and then do this route:
Based on Weather.com it's raining on the west end and that's moving east. I live just south of where it starts at the 210 and I got wet riding in to work this morning.
You don't have to spend very much at all. When I was in Georgia I rode in the rain a few times a month and I've always been a cheap ass so I got a suit that frogg toggs made for like $40. I wear them over my jacket and clothes and they work great! Only complaints are that during the summer rain it got pretty warm up under it all and the stuff they make is far from fashionable. That being said, I highly recommend them unless you want to spend a whole lot more for something that would keep you dry the same way. Just looked and they are $17 on amazon.... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SX4Z5FU/ref=twister_dp_update?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Not close to Weho, but I'm sure you could arrange to see them at Drowsport and SteadyGarage.
I have the POWTEC PT-GROM Adjustable short Brake and Clutch Levers off Amazon. They're not as fancy as the CRGs or ASVs, but they get the job done. I'll have some time Saturday morning, if you wanted to check them out. I live near Studio City.
On the other side of things, you can get these earplugs from Amazon for less than $20. It's 200 pairs, so you don't have to worry about reusing them or losing them, and they do a pretty decent job in their own right. I use these at work often enough, and can hear whatever important stuff I need to.
Yeah, we didn't take it though.
Also to note, the helmets they give you get pretty sweaty and have been used by tons of other people. You might want to pick up a tube bandana that you can wear to under the helmet. I didn't have one for my class, but really like wearing one when riding to keep my hair off my forehead. This is basically the one I've got.
Loud as shit! Needs more than bolt cutters to get through. Even if they could, they wouldn't since its loud as shit and draws attention. Get a cover and youre good. Put it on one of your wheels. And cover that bike. Hidden. People steal bikes that are convenient not a hassle.

It's currently 72 in Big Bear City. You don't need to worry until November.
So wait, I'm supposed to give you $2000 and take your word for it that the bike starts up and the engine has good compression?
What's upgraded about the Cogent Dynamics suspension? Did you install their DDC, heavier springs, adjustable fork caps?
Or do you have the mojave shock? But then which one?
for $800 more these two are already put back together, so you can see why people are giving you shit.

a lot of the stolen items are being sold by this lady:

There is more items she sold throughout the day that are no longer showing up
I've got this one for my Bonneville https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0022ZN6WU. It's lasted cooking in the sun for just under 3 years before a seam gave way. But it's got a lifetime warranty so I'm getting a replacement. If you don't have a windscreen, you can probably size down to medium.
This ones got heat resistant fabric at the bottom so you don't have to worry about melting it on your pipes.
This is OP's setup, it's basically a visor on a strap. Doesn't come with the strap, though, which is weird.
I run regular googles on one of my helmets, I replaced the strap with this setup, it's just velcro on one side and a post to hang from on the other.
I use boot covers and a full frogg toggs set over my regular gear. Both pack up nicely and are a breeze to dry out.

I wear earplugs Earpeace and I use the BT-S2 headset . Perfect combo, and very cheap. I can also change volume, swap tracks, and take phone calls. Also wind noise is no longer an issue and my ears are safe.
I've used various types/brands, and have settled on these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EPQ86A/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1
They are technically disposable, but you can reuse them a few times before throwing them away. They also do a good job of reducing noise levels without eliminating useful ambient noise.
The other suggestions in this thread are also good, and finding the right brand/type will ultimately be a personal choice.
This was my exact philosophy too and so far it's paid off. And, they have portable lights that are rechargeable so you can go in the unit, just lower the door and work without anyone knowing you're doing anything. Costco sells/sold these too for a while.
I am very impressed with my recent purchase of these scorpion gloves i bought in october. They have lots of good padding, strong armor on the knuckles and are really comfortable. $80. http://www.amazon.com/ScorpionExo-Short-Sport-Gloves-Large/dp/B01ALAKTDG?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01
that sucks dude. perhaps a helmet lock? I only leave my half helmet on my bike, as it was only $50 a few years ago, its matte black, and a little beat up.
