You may want to check out airbnb when visiting the states. There are quite a few reasonable places in Omaha. I would recommend staying in the Old Market or the Benson area (my top pick).
As for Oktoberfest, the main place that celebrates is the Crescent Moon/Huber Haus . I've been several years and it's a lot of fun, but it is basically just one bar with a big beer garden.
Public transportation does exist in Omaha, but can be challenging due to routes not going past certain times.
Uber and Lyft are crowd sourced taxi services that have recently become popular and are worth checking out. I do think it would be challenging to get outside of Omaha without a car.
Some things to check out while you are here:
I'm not sure what extended stay places run, but you could look into airbnb for extended stays too.
I just know if it were me, a tiny house would be more comfortable than even a nice hotel/apartment type thing.
Definitely the Omaha Zoo, Lincoln (Memorial Stadium) if you're passing through during football season, Toadstool Park, and Chimney Rock. Can't say much for my hometown of Chadron, NE, unless you like small towns... though it was the beginning of the Great Chadron-Chicago Horse Race.
You can't edit the titles because it would lead to massive spamming / clickbait and other problems.
Technically, there isn't a hard reason. Other sites like https://news.ycombinator.com/ (the people that funded Reddit) routinely edit titles to make them less link-baity, etc.
For games on ABC or Fox, I just use a set of rabbit ears. I can't watch these games on my phone away from my house, but in those cases I can find somewhere to watch it.
In the past, I always just found streams online. I think /r/CFB has stream links in the official game threads. There are a also some sites that will pretty reliably have a decent stream. These are usually pretty low quality; the best I could ever find was 480p.
Last year, I bought Sling TV for the football season so I could get ESPN. I ended up just using my Sling TV credentials to log into WatchESPN which was a much better experience but it could have also been my really shitty internet at the time.
This year, I'm subscribed to PlayStation Vue. The middle ($35) package has all the channels I'll need -- BTN, ESPN, Fox Sports. The interface seems pretty nice and it works pretty well. You can also use Vue credentials to log into BTN2Go/WatchESPN/Fox Sports Go if you want. The one big caveat is that you have to have a PlayStation or Fire TV device to use as your "home device", which you said you have so you're in luck. If you use the Vue app on another device and it thinks you're outside your home network, it will pop up a warning that "content will be limited". However, you can still stream BTN and ESPN with this restriction so it doesn't really matter.
Streaming cable services are way cheaper than regular cable, but still pretty expensive. However, I think it's the best option with the least hassle.
My advice is to, if you can afford it, subscribe to PlayStation Vue for the next 5 months. And buy a good antenna if you don't already have one.
Another option would be to use someone else's cable credentials to log into BTN2Go/WatchESPN/Fox Sports Go. Although, I try to avoid the pile of hot garbage that is BTN2Go.
Edit: speeling and links
Fi used to be Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular based. But Sprint service has been disabled since it was acquired by T-Mobile. So my service was kind of shit until I upgraded to a 5G capable device and it's been pretty good. US Cellular still works pretty well in more rural areas. I'd recommend only using 5G capable devices and installing the Signal Info App so you can monitor and switch networks, but for people like me it works well. That is to say people who use very little data usually, but on occasion need a large amount of data and spend most of their time in a metro area but also need dependable rural coverage. Also the ability to travel internationally with coverage is nice. If you only spend your time in the metro and use a consistent amount of data I'd maybe look at Mint or Stright Talk but for highly variable use in data and location it's the best service there is.
Here you go buddy looks like you got some reading to do. They literally titled the book " The Only State"
If that's not unique than what is?

Some context: Residents of Lincoln, Nebraska spend the night on the lawn of the state capital on July 25, 1936. The temperature that night never fell below 91°, perhaps the warmest night ever recorded anywhere in the United States outside of the desert Southwest. > Even in the worst days, Omaha maybe hits 80 percent.
I've got a personal weather station on my house. The only days this summer that it ever got below 50% relative humidity was four days in late August when a cool front came through and we had 75F with 40% RH. Even right now, it's cold as shit and the humidity is still 92%.
The mean humidity year to date is 78%. That's the overall mean, not the average of the highs. Looking at the data, there's not a single week all summer where it wasn't at 90+% at least part of the day.
That said, Florida summers are something else, man. I umpire softball and went to Clearwater for a national tournament in 2017. I took a shower in the morning and didn't get dry until 9 pm. The daily 11 am thunderstorms didn't help any, either.

Louisville Isn’t bad at all for being 30 minutes out of town. Indian Caves Is also alright.
May - October isn't too bad, certainly more enjoyable than winter. You'd basically be here for the whole growing season, but you'll be too late for the crane migration.
Assuming you're not from near the coast, it looks like the climate will be pretty similar, although you'll definitely have days over 100 with high humidity at some point, and it's windier in general.
Beatrice isn't terribly big, but Lincoln isn't far, and Omaha and Kansas City are close enough for weekend trips.
Pretty much every scrap of land in a 100 mile radius (outside of cities) will be farmland and a few pastures. Looking at satellite view will give you a good idea.
wow. my father sat on the school board for 18 years. got an earful many times from parents that i saw. maybe get them an antelope hat and hope somebody shoots them? https://www.amazon.com/Lurrose-Halloween-Headband-Antelope-Headpieces/dp/B09B41QBH6/ref=sr\_1\_15?dchild=1&keywords=antelope+hat&qid=1634357309&sr=8-15
My friend published this book recently. She is the author and photographer for it. It covers abandoned places in eastern Nebraska and is a great coffee table book as well as an interesting look into the past and history of Nebraska!
Evil Obsession is a must read. True story based in the early 1900s in North Platte. Crazy stories about prohibition, politics, murder and a lot more. I couldn’t believe that this stuff actually happened.
