If the sealant cannot seal the puncture, try a tire plug (I have this kit for my bike's tubeless tires). If the plug kit is not enough, you can patch the tire from inside. If that still does not do the job, you'll need a new tire and some sealant.
just get the Xiaomi pump, it's supposed to be great. And if you can't get it, get any other battery powered pump like these:
and also there comes an extender valve with the Max for the rear tire, because you can't fit the pump directly, but this extender is shit, because it has no stopper at the end - so as soon as you screw it on, air starts to leak out! Just buy an extender valve with a stopper, they are fairly cheap!
In my experience (2 Max' with thousands of KM between the two of them):
The only screws that came loose on a regular basis are the ones that attach the handlebars to the stem. Once I put threadlock on those, they've been perfect.
I've had to adjust the steering on one as it was off a bit, but a universal bike tool did the trick.
The rear tire is a PITA to put air into, so get a valve extension (not the one that comes in the box), I mean something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07SKTYYCB/ It will prevent air from getting out when you unscrew it. A pump with a pressure gauge is going to be better than a pump and gauge separately.
You're going to want to get a better headlight if you ride at night.
Safety gear. Mandatory. Full face helmet and whatever body protection you can get.
Other than that, the Max is super low maintenance and is built to last.
On Sports mode (is there anything else? ;-), I travel about 30 miles (48 km) before needing to recharge. But it is fine to upcharge without it being fully drained; there is no battery memory with these. I leave the factory-provided cord where I park it at home (entryway), and I wrap-around tie an extra cord on the stem so that if I'm too far from home, I can charge it from anywhere. I only charge mine overnight, as it is a good idea to let it cool down after a ride, before charging it; heat is created when riding it (output) & charging it (input). More at:
Yea, it's Natnado season on the wooded trails, especially around that tall grass (here in central IA. anyway). You're riding along, all good, then a sudden pelting on the face! I wear safety sunglasses (don't ride at night), and fingerless lifting gloves, but that don't keep them out of your nose or ears, or your mouth if you open it while bitching about the sudden Natnado storm! :-)... (PS: I gave U an upvote... shhhh)
I bought these a couple months ago, and they work great for helping me fill the tires on my Max.
I just have pretty good rain clothes and use my Max to commute to work every day, without any concessions to bad weather - I ride the thing through literally everything that comes down on me!
2 years and 4000km later still no problems! 👍
And I too have a hook on my stem, but I only use it when I cannot fit everything into my backpack!
Lately I got myself a bike trailer, for even bigger shopping trips 😁
And if you are worried about theft, you should definetly get a good U-lock and then a bike alarm like this one:
As soon as someone starts to mess with your scooter or lock and moves it just ever so slightly, the alarm goes off very very loudly! I have them on all of my scooters!
First I never cleaned it, more afraid I would completely kill it getting water on sensitive parts than the dirt accumulating. But a month after the leaves started to fall it had become so dirty with a thick layer of mud I had to do something because the smell having it inside my apartment.
Into the shower it went and with hot water and some mechanical cleaning the layer of dirt was gone. I kept doing so every 3-4 weeks during the winter only avoiding spraying water directly on the charge port.
The brake still has the same bite as new. Sometimes it squeal when braking.
Motor is fine. Since December I use a custom firmware outputting 30A instead of standard 25A giving me better acceleration.
I almost never charge to 100%, 75-85% is what I aim for and never go below 25%. This is helpful and soon you learn how fast the scooter charges and how long time you need to set for charging https://www.amazon.se/Brennenstuhl-1506590-Nedr%C3%A4kningstimer-Mekaniskt-Timeruttag/dp/B003ZI636O/ref=asc_df_B003ZI636O/?tag=shpngadsglesm-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=476665142325&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=834473889313582210&hvpo...

STLinks should be no more than like $5, you can buy them from china for under $2. You don't need an oem one to do it.

Here's one on amazon for $6:
Someone on here commented about getting a $300 motor and maybe that's a good idea, maybe that motor is a huge step up, but what about this one for $82 (w/shipping) off of Amazon? I've seen it at Walmart too, same price and with the same wording on the product page.
It's 36V 500W, so I would think that means it would be compatible because the important number there is the 36V. Many of the 500W motors are 48V, and I'm pretty sure that 48V requires a different battery or maybe some sort of software hack. I'd prefer to just get a 36V 350W one, but all of those are expensive.
Does anyone know about this? Because getting a replacement motor that's actually more powerful, (500W vs. 350W) and avoiding the grueling tire-changing labor; all for $82 seems too good to be true. But I half expect that once I plug in the new wheel it won't work, or if it does work the 500W will drain the battery in half the time, or the tire on it will suck or who knows...
After I read your comment I immediately went outside to test and make sure I haven't been running it on drive. On sport mode I still max out at 15 mph.
Eco: 9 mph
Drive: 12 mph
Sport: 15 mph.
I'm already linked to the segway app and the New Rider Tutorial says completed.
I just got these and tried them in ~48 degree weather this morning: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CSHZ9WK
Worked pretty well. It did fog up slightly if you're stopped at a light for a while; I'd expect it to fog more if it drops into the lower 40s or upper 30s, but while riding it was much more comfortable and the fog cleared up immediately.
Just for more clarity u/hyparchh, your cable is okay as the scooter should not pull more than 2.0 A and the cable shown is rated for 2.5 A.
For reference the cable that comes with the scooter is rated for 7.0A.
Good on you for checking. It is never safe to assume just because a plug fits the socket is it rated to supply the power that a device might pull. This is one way how electrical fires happen. Many times just grabbing any ol cable would be fine, but it is always good to check.
Here is a good replacement if you ever need it:
https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Standard-Laptop-Power-Cord/dp/B000FHQTGW
Like this one? Can’t find one for only tubeless but this looks okay
What you need to check the tire PSI is the "pencil" style PSI gauges. They usually sell these at the counter of any auto parts store for cheap. They also remove hte least amount of air when checking.
amazon link for example: https://www.amazon.com/AstroAI-Pencil-Pressure-10-75PSI-Vehicles/dp/B07X8GLGK3
I have been happy with this one in the 2L size:
At least in the 2 liter size, the velcro straps are long enough that I can hang the bag low enough so that the bag does not block the headlight. I attach the velcro straps to the handlebar as wide as possible so they straps do not cut off the light along the sides. You will occasionally have to push the straps out wide again because they will creep in over time (days, not minutes). You do have to really pull tight the two velcro straps that go around the handlebar stem in order to minimize bag swing. Don't be a brute and destroy the straps but do pull them tight.
I cannot say what the situation would be if you bought the 3L size. That may not work. My girlfriend has the larger 3L size from a different manufacturer and it does block the headlight a bit.
Here you go 😀
thats why u use this no need for a compressor, just put that on and make it very tight then start

The Xiaomi is recommended a lot for a pump that doesn't need an extender. I use this one and it works perfectly fine for me:
RYSEAB Tire Inflator Portable Air... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C6C6BR1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The tires are very small so it takes very little air loss to greatly reduce the pressure. This is also why the pressure needs to be checked so often. Extenders that leak air out for a long time while you remove them are worthless for that reason, IMO.
Valve extender:
Xiaomi air pump:
Great idea! I was lucky enough to find a portable electric compressor that doesn't need an adapter, the profile allows for a direct connection.
Heres the link for others, its for amazon Canada though: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09C6C6BR1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The ninebot bay attachment is so good and did you know you can get a seat ? I got mine cheaper than this but this is the bag and this is the seat ninebot max seat
I do not recommend this. A work light is designed to disperse light over a wide area. You will become an annoyance to other traffic or pedestrians. Just get a better bike light. I have this one on my Ninebot Max and it is great:
ROCKBROS Bike Light 1000 Lumens... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098XF7K76?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Much brighter than the Ninebot headlight, and it will throw the light further ahead of me, which was my main concern. Also functions as a power bank to charge your phone.
I thought I needed the adapter for my Ninebot and my Niu, but yeah, it lets out way too much air when I unscrew it. The tires are so small that even just a leak of a second or two can let out most of the air.
I bought this model off of Amazon due to the number of good reviews. It is able to fill both scooters without an adapter.
RYSEAB Tire Inflator Portable Air... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09C6C6BR1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Yes, the adaptors are difficult to use with any pump. The xaomi pump doesn't need an adaptor, and lets you dial in the pressure to within 1psi. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XZCLGVQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Helmet and wrist guards. Not gloves, wrist guards. The kind with the hard plastic splint in them. Usually sold as gear for skaters. These are the two absolute must-haves for scooter gear.
Helmet for obvious reasons. Wrist guards because when you come off the scooter, you're going to instinctively reach for the ground to cushion your fall. You're in an elevated position standing on the scooter, and moving. The impact can easily break your wrists. You need that splint to take the impact instead of your bones.
Here are the ones I bought for my fiancee when I bought her a scooter:
Triple 8 Saver Series Wristsavers... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000DZIK1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Bicycle gloves are going to maybe keep your hands from getting all scraped up, but the condition of the skin on your hands will be of little concern when your wrist is snapped.
There’s also this I’m looking at buying I’m Australia. Doesn’t involve going into battery compartment. It appears to be rgb double sided tape as well as a pouch for the battery pack/controller to be on the bottom of the ninebot shaft. Probably a bit dodgy but I’m definitely not capable of messing around with the internal components. Let me know what you think
Also as for clear covers I haven’t seen any other then lots of stainless steel variants. Shame that company isn’t around anymore it looked really good
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XLGKTY2
I have this hand held hand powered pump, it has 2 valve options, and doesn't need a battery or anything, also extremely small, and the tube has an old school pressure reader thing that extends with pressure.
I have the same scooter and updated with the segway app just a few days ago. Same result.

Download the Scooter Hacking Utility.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sh.cfw.utility&hl=en_US&gl=US

The first thing it will do is downgrade your FW to a "hackable" version which is nice. Then you can either live with that older segway FW, or flash the "SHFW" which gives you near realtime control over all the parameters of the scooter. It's really sweet.
There's also a "German Maneuver" firmware which starts up in the legal mode every time the scooter is turned on, but if you go to the app and press a button it will "unlock" the fast mode.

And you can folding it without problem? It looks very nice. I have handlebar extender but it's just impossible to properly tight it with anything mounted to it. Empty extender is stable but if I add for example phone mount or that light (light module is 125g weight):
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07WR617B2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
then even on standard flat roads it's rotating. I very like riding on the night but sometimes original light is too low. Any mirror would be very good for safety, car drivers very like overtaking just a few centimeters next to me, even on wide roads.
I use this, strapped/mounted to the vertical pole/column, just a little below the handlebars to attach a drink holder / water bottle cage. It is surprisingly secure, and hasn't budged since intalled):
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045HY85M
I then use an adjustable diameter drink holder/cage (can accommodate a lot of different diameter drinks):
If you can, get a full face. I have wiped out twice in two weeks at 19 mph due to a car suddenly turning right in front of me. Last time was yesterday, and I went up and over the vehicle and ate concrete hard.
My eye, cheek and chin looks like it got in a fight with a baseball bat, my hands are scraped up with road rash and puncture wounds, and road rash on my arms and legs.
Wear gloves, long pants and a shirt with sleeves.
You may think this is overkill, but next time you're merrily cruising along at 19 mph, imagine diving face first into the concrete. It's not fun
It seems you got this charger:
https://www.amazon.com/Ninebot-Official-Charger-Electric-Scooters/dp/B07T5N5Q6P
Both that one and the first picture both show 71 W, the G30 fast charger should state 210 W.
you either ordered the wrong charger or got scammed - the original Ninebot fastcharger definetly has 5A and charges faster than the internal one:
Amazon. It's a $9 mod but it's worth it. It took those little camps and I took the logo stickers off as screwed them to the end of the scooter handle too. Didn't want gunk getting into the handlebars.
These were the batteries I was using, I had 4 left laying around so that's how the beginning of 48v was achieved.
I bought it a about 3 months ago for my Stand Up Paddle Board to power my Fins Motors so I don't have to paddle in the water. I bought it off of Amazon, the brand is called Pionergy 12v 20Ah Lithium Battery. I think I paid $99 dollars USD for it. I bought two, one is just sitting on my tool box for other 12v Projects. Watch out, the one pictured in the link is not the correct one for the g30 lp which is photograph by the OP. I also made the same mistake, what he needs here https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0969FT1GP/ notice the differences.
I literally have the same scars on my scooter as OP after my tumble.
I bought a metal one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0966SX6ZL
I used a heat gun to loosen the reflective stickers covering the screws on the plastic caps covering the axle nuts. Peeled those up, but not all the way off. Removed the caps, then removed the axle nuts. Removed the rear wheel/motor assembly. It's pretty heavy so you'll need to support that with something so it doesn't pull on its wires too much. Put the fender support bracket in place and screwed it to the fender. Put everything back together.
It was a little difficult, not gonna lie. Need to properly support the scooter on top of something while you're working on it. And the bracket... It twisted a little bit when I tightened the axle nuts down on it. Also, the bracket causes the plastic axle caps to not sit entirely flush against the scooter.

I had medium that came with it for a long time. And it definitely is a little more stable at high speeds, but I did change to soft springs and it is so much better ride, especially if you encounter any bumps or take it off roading a bit. Don't get me wrong it's still stable enough at high speeds, just not like the medium... Also the rear suspension puts everything together, it really is great riding now. I have some more "off road" ish tires coming(not sure when I'll install because the stockers are last long) but I'd like to get a bit more traction on gravel or dirt(basically clay like at my brother's property, it's super soft). I bought the Ninebot mount. It’s pretty good but I’m sure you could find something similar for cheaper. Don’t buy the older one that looks like this though, it’s terrible.
I would also be careful mounting your phone in general. The intense vibrations from riding can potentially cause damage to focus/OIS systems on newer phones. I only use the mount with a cheap Android phone for dashboard, I’ve tried putting my iPhone 13 Pro in it and recording a video and it was going crazy the whole ride.
I ended up making the smallest payment.

Yea sorry, it's a pain in the ass. You may get lucky and just need to break the bead near the hole and get in from the back side w/o taking the tire off. you may get lucky with one of these but ive never ever tried it. https://www.amazon.com/AME-51025-Quick-Valve-Change/dp/B005K8E9FY

Using the ScooterHacking app, I have the rear light to always be on. Plus, I put refecting tape on each side of the fender. I tried putting tape on the fender itself, but it doesn't stick as good.

Ulcok fits perfectly in front compartment. The lock is kinda heavy though. The bag is rated for 1kg and the lock is 2 - but the velcro holds strong and I haven't had any problems.
on top of the lock you should also definetly consider getting yourself a bike alarm like this one:
there are many of those on amazon, they are basically all the same - cheap but very effective! when armed they go off at the slightest movement, so if anyone starts messing with your scooter or the lock they are rewarded with a very loud siren!
I have those on all my scooters!

That's the one I use with my 12 Pro Max in a Magsafe leather case.
I use this one I loop the attachment point thru the hole in the latch on the handlebars that lock it to the back wheel. (I never fold mine). If you plan on folding yours, it’s easily removed. I can confirm it will fit an iPhone 12 Pro Max with an Otterbox Defender case.
That is the bag that comes with the external battery kit. It's the same type of bag that you can find on Amazon/Ebay under a variety of names (Wild Man, Epressa, etc.) . I have it mounted lower on the stem , as to not block the headlight, using the child's handlebar kit that you can find here. Tou can also take the grips off opf the handlebars for more space to mount lights and whatnot.
Hey OP, I was in your situation a few days ago looking for a good lock for this thing. I live on a college campus so I decided to go with something a little more secure. I ended up buying a Kryptonite New York 12mm x 75cm Cinch Ring Chain.
It's a little on the pricey side but I didn't want to cheap out on a lock for a scooter this nice, especially since I live on campus. So far I've had zero issues with it, and it seems incredibly sturdy. The cinch ring allows you to lock it up almost anywhere, while also leaving you the option to use it like a normal chain lock which I really like. Overall, would highly recommend. Here's a pic of how I lock up my max. I hope this helps.

I've tried 3 or 4 different kinds of mirrors (the ones that you attach to the grips) and ended up buying a handlebar extender. The problem is that you want your mirrors as high as possible otherwise they're too far and low. These worked the best for me, but they won't work without the handlebar extender - you want them as much 'out' as you can and it is not possible without the extender.
It's a bit different, regular slime can corrode the rim on tubeless systems like on the max and is meant for tubes. Tubeless sealant is thinner in viscosity and won't damage anything and also seems to work better in general. The one linked comes with a straw, I used a syringe with a bulk bottle (there are a lot better prices if you buy in larger sizes/shop around). The only other thing you would need is a valve core remover or someone at a local bike shop to help.
i can understand that, but i recently got dusted by a futuristic looking e-bike, looked more like a motorcycle. absolutely no sound and left me in the dust.

I didn’t know about the helmet with turn signals so I opted for something less elegant but definitely effective:
FANCYWING LED Turn Signal Bike... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BQNB1K9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Since it’s difficult to use standard hand signals on a scooter I opted for 2 of these, one worn on the back and one on the front (front one worn upside down so that both will flash the same direction). This way people in front and behind me know what direction I’m turning. It’s a bit clunky but gets noticed at intersections.
You can use a a bike tubeless tire repair kit . They are just miniaturized versions of the plug kits for cars.
I use an old android phone to flash the custom firmware onto the scooter. The firmware is created from scooterhacking.org and flashed with an app called https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eScooter.m365Info&hl=en_GB
You can change the region via this app. No need to flash firmware. World and US regions can turn off lights. They also make it to faster. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eScooter.m365Info
Download this app if you have Android, it lets you change the serial number and max speed in 5 seconds. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eScooter.m365Info&hl=de
If it still doesn't work, there's something wrong with your scooter.
I'm thinking something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Energy-Suspension-9-8101G-Shock-Grommet/dp/B000CN7CEC/ would be perfect. Good luck! You definitely need to be able to emergency stop!
I just installed it last weekend and it definitely helps. The shock assembly is definitely budget so I’m going to replace mine with this air shock to try to improve the ride even more. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LCJ6265/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_IHxqFbK7N27KS
Ah man thats a shame. Hopefully it stays well after. However I saw people fitting the xiaomi fender bracket and it fits nicely.

For the Black Rims i used an acrylic marker.
Another user wrote to me: Acrylic Metal Marker on Amazon. Basically held the tip of the paint marker touching the wheel whilst resting my hand against the footboard and slowly throttled one the power to paint it as it spun. 🙂 hoping it’ll last. I’ll report back here on how it ages! This was the marker. Works really good! Compact just like I wanted! Doesn't move around after adding eletrical tape to all the mounting points 👌
