I have had a dabpress for over a year now, I’m still kinda new but do have experience with one. For the best pressing setting I tend to go to 185-195 degrees when pressing flower. Also I would get micron bags they help out so much as well as keeps out plant material in your final product. Also don’t over press as you could cause rips in your parchment paper pressing lightly will definitely help. Ideal time range for pressing is about 90 seconds I don’t go any longer than that. DC Glass Cleaner is just fantastic, I cant recommend it enough. When it bubbles in the banger, it pulls everything off the banger every time. Its not that expensive. Sure its not $3 a bottle like iso, but it lasts forever. Just don't waste it.
You just dip a qtip in it and swirl it around so it saturates it, then use it to clean the banger. Then dry with the other end. Get the large bottle for the best bang for your buck.

Iso is just not great to breath in and/or touch with your bare hands. Plus it sucks for bangers. You should really only soak items with iso in my experience.

Yeah man they aren't perfect either it's actually best to get hygrometers so you know where you're at. Especially when pressing.

It’s actually made of terracotta clay, basically a chunk of a clay pot you’d buy at Home Depot. They work well though. I used them for when I pressed flower rosin. As I could rehydrate in a couple minutes vs. a few hours/days with boveda/boost bags.

Just be careful using them, it’s easy to overhydrate flower with them if not being cautious. Which if you then store in a jar, could lead to mold growth. I’d recommend grabbing a few cheap hygrometers to keep in your jars to make sure the bud is in range if you use them. Can grab a 6-pack fairly cheap on Amazon.

Oh and make sure you let the stones dry out properly before storing anywhere airtight. I accidentally put mine back in the little plastic sleeve without fully drying and it grew mold. So had to get new ones. I think the Raw hydrostones come in a paper sleeve which would help prevent this, but I got a different brand.

These are the shit though. I still use them even without pressing rosin anymore. I get the bud up to 62RH then I add a integra boost pack to keep it stable long term. Solid recommendation!!

Not really that much of an issue, but I should mention that I generally use a double boiler for it, which helps to regulate the temps, and keep things from scorching. Dip them in rubbing alcohol, slowly and evenly push it through, then occasionally stop pushing it through and give it a good twist before proceeding. You may bend a few before you get all the way through, but its a 200 pack. And now I finally have my seahorse back in action!

You can find inexpensive ones that don't break the bank. You definitely don't need over a ton of pressure for personal use rosin.

Well, for starters, you are aiming the flame at the right spot and I’m glad to hear that you rotate it entirely. Some people just kind of rock it from side to side but that doesn’t provide even heating.

In terms of the straw packing method, exactly as it sounds, just like drinking through a straw, gently suck up your flower into the tip and make sure to level it out so it’s flush or below the edge of the tip. Packing this way helps ensure a more aerated pack with better airflow. It also helps to grind your flower more fine rather than leaving it more coarse, because more surface area equals better vapor production.

Finally, saving the most important point and a clear problem in your process for last. Your torch. It’s too big. A bit overkill for the DynaVap. The idea with the DynaVap is low and slow. Smallest flame setting for a gradual heat up. You need something smaller, like this to achieve best results.

I can almost bet that if you go to a convenience store, gas station, or headshop and pick up a smaller torch that your entire opinion of the DynaVap will change.

I didn’t even ask the kind of vapor production that you are getting over the course of your 3-4 hits, nor did I ask the color of your ABV whether it’s light brown or dark brown.

Aiming the flame at the n in dyna yes I spin the device in my fingers. I use this torch. . Get as close as I can without actually torching the tip. Wait for the double click hold a sec or two longer. No idea what you're saying about a packing method but I filled another with just bud and same few nice hits. Decided this ain't working did a sandwich method with some of my rosin and felt some effects but if I would've just dabbed that amount maybe a little bigger out of my dtv4 probably would've felt more imo. Idk I'll try again I guess. But doesn't seem very powerful as you describe and I'm over here trying.

My advice would be a dabpress 4 ton. You can get from Amazon for about 349. Can probably find cheaper but I was looking and seen this one looks like it'd work well but I see dabpress on here alot and haven't really seen a bad review.

You don't use a torch(I mean, you can, but it's waaay overkill). Everyone I know uses some sort of butane-refillable lighter. You shouldn't be using a torch that you heat up a banger with for instance, that's quite a bit overkill. Otherwise, a butane lighter is pretty much a tiny bit diff than using a regular bic.

The tiny-ish "cap" that you heat is hardly a piping hot iron. If at worst, you set the Dyna like on your leg wearing jeans, you hardly feel it. Not trying to sell you on the DynaVap, but clear up what appear to be misconceptions.

Do yourself a favor buy some glass jars off Amazon and some boost packs. That terrapin packaging is horrible, their only saving grace dry/cure/storage wise is the fact they add a boost pack.

Some parchment paper and you'll be set to see if DIY rosin is for you , and want to expand into some better tech. If not, you're out $50. Tons of vids/info out there to get you started.

Are you rehydrating at all before pressing the flower? Moisture is very important for solid yields and a factor in getting a good consistency on the rosin. If not I highly suggest picking up a few raw hydrostones or an offbrand version. Basically they are just pieces of terracotta clay that you soak in water for 5 minutes then throw into the container with your bud for anywhere between an hour up to 4 hours. It varies depending on how much bud you are rehydrating, how dry it is to start and how moist you want the flower. For pressing I’ve heard it’s best to get it to the point where there’s a slight bend in the stem. So it no longer clean snaps. Doesn’t have to be super bendy just not a clean, crisp snap.

This is all info I’ve learned through watching others rosin press on YouTube. So take everything I said with a that context added. I do however own hydrostones for when I get some dry bud. Makes it smoke so much better when you bring it up to that proper moisture level. Definitely scoop some up I think they’ll help you a lot if your not already using them. Then if yields are still low then moisture isn’t the reason and it’s either time, amount of heat, amount of pressure or the strain. But since you pressed that melonade and got a decent result I’d be willing to bet this gleaf was pretty dry.

I personally highly recommend cresco live resin cartridges. I have found the best effects with them if that's your preferred route of administration. In my opinion the Ilera ones are really sub-par. For chronic pain a lot of people love RSO. I recommend finding a thc:cbd mix like harle-tsu or harlequin. You can then fill caps with a dosage that you find works for you. You then take a cap ~20-30 minutes before you sit down to work and you should be alright for 3-4 hours roughly. The benefit to the RSO method is its duration of action is much longer than a cartridge, it also has a fuller spectrum of cannabinoids than a cartridge which is primarily just thc. Make something small first. Then you can easily figure out what your tolerance is and how many mg you can take before getting overly stoned. I didn't find that I had as many mental cravings. My body still felt most of it but the mental withdrawal symptoms were not anywhere near as bad as it was without cannabis.
