I went over passing with a client during a session last week. We hopped into casual to put the new concepts into practice. They hit me up with an absolute dime in game one.
Like this?
If you want high powered pointers, I'd go with these. If quantity is your desire, this isn't a bad start.
Start with recoveries. Easiest way to get faster and be in the right spot. Then work on jumping for the ball by pointing your nose where the ball will be when starting your attack.
Play some Hoops. Play some Snow Day. Play some Dropshot. Try Rumble since it forces weird situations you might not have thought of and react to on the fly.
Ah damn. You should consider trying the upcoming 8bitdo ultimate controller. It’s supposedly releasing late may.
The advice I give to people who want to focus on improving aspects of their game:
Find the top 3 things you want to work on ( or top 1/2 if you really wanna drill it into your head) and write it down on a piece of cardstock/index card/post it.
Then cover your score and game clock by attaching it to your monitor so that when you play, every time you look at the time or score you're reminded of what it is you're working on. It'll always be in your face.
You also detach yourself from caring about the win/loss itself since you're not concerned about the outcome. It'll be hard to mentally track the score while focusing on the game as well as what you're working to improve. As an added bonus, unbind the scoreboard and also turn on Instant Suite (you'll leave before even knowing the result unless it's OT) / Anonymizer (hides rank) in Bakkesmod.
Once you master the things on your card where you no longer think about it, find 2-3 more things to work on. Do this for 3 weeks straight and then check your rank both starting and after and you'll see a significant difference.
LOL! 100% guilty as charged — best podcast on the planet!
Though my understanding of the physicality of habit formation first came from reading The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. Not nearly as broad nor erudite as Huberman, but just as fascinating and actionable.
Watch a few disassembly videos, I found it quite easy to take all my controllers apart thanks to those videos, you will however need a tool kit, something like this should do the trick although I have a kit similar to this here in the UK.
I use the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Xbox controller and its been lasting longer than most of my controllers (typically have a lifespan of 6mo-1yr).
I've only had it for about 6 months now but has held up better than any other controller I've used in that time period. It's a bit more pricey but I feel its worth the investment.
A big perk that it has is the cable that plugs into it locks in and isn't so free to fuck up the cable or the input on the controller.

sorry for the better controller/ second link it should have been this https://www.amazon.co.uk/ThrustMaster-Eswap-Controller-Modular-Professional/dp/B08HY4R8RQ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=TY1KT0C4FJ9S&dchild=1&keywords=eswap+pro+controller&qid=1614000867&sprefix=eswa%2Caps%2C202&sr=8-1
Well that kind of makes sense. KBM is rlly hard to play on. Here's a link for a cheap controller you can plug into ur pc or laptop that will probably work if you have a 2015 or younger version of a pc: https://www.amazon.com/PowerA-Enhanced-Wired-Controller-Xbox-One/dp/B07DJ6D4ZY/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=xbox+one+wired+controller&qid=1605638987&sr=8-5
Use the standard bindings except instead of b as boost use rb. It will take some getting used to using a controller for a kbm player but you will improve a lot. Please use a controller. just do it. its the right way to play rl
I have found an affordable ps4 controller on amazon. here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/PomisGam-Controller-Playstation-Windoews-Professional/dp/B08GX2GJ5M/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=wired+ps4+controller&qid=1605647311&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyMUtCUEpVRzNCM1lKJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUExMDMzOTQ0S0tBVk1GN0hGODRKJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA5NDgyMjAzRERYUTlWM0VIWjJBJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
