Protip for smoothies: Green bananas are high in resistant starch so the amount of carbs you actually absorb is about half of a ripe banana, which works great if you are low carb as well. They are easiest to peel by pinching the "wrong" end, and you can break them into quarters and freeze them so they are ready to go whenever you want.
Goes great with dutched cocoa powder and instant coffee powder.
Also great with Ceylon cinnamon with a tiny bit of nutmeg and clove. Note that "regular" cinnamon is also known as saigon/fake cinnamon, and is toxic to the liver in large quantities (which is why the EU has regulations on "cinnamon" buns). My favorite ceylon cinnamon is here as it actually has a strong taste unlike most ceylon offerings I've found.
For sweetener I use lakanto monk fruit drops. A ripe banana in a smoothie doesn't need any sweetener, but green bananas could use some help.
I love this keto mayo. Tons of saturated fat.
I got this astaxanthin mainly because it uses coconut oil, I think the other ones I looked at had soybean oil or some other dodgy PUFA. Crap I just noticed that the price for 120 caps is the same as 60 caps. Probably a mistake.
Here’s the recipe I’ve cobbled together. It has some nonstandard ingredients because I wanted to make it taste more like Miracle Whip (to appease my Miracle-Whip-loving girlfriend!).
Ingredients:
1 cup fractionated/liquid coconut oil*
4 egg yolks
2 T dijon mustard
1 T lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. paprika
Directions:
Put egg yolks, 2 T of coconut oil, mustard, and salt into a mixing bowl.
Whisk/blend until well combined.
Drizzle rest of coconut oil into mixture very slowly while whisking/blending. (Once the mixture has thickened, you can pick up the pace.)
Whisk/blend in lemon juice, sugar, garlic powder, and paprika.
*Here’s the brand I use: BetterBody Foods Organic Liquid Coconut MCT Oil, 33.8 Ounce
I bought some stearic off of amazon a few weeks ago, but haven’t tried it yet, so can’t recommend. However at the same time I bought some cacao butter wafers that are fantastic.
Is it thiamine HCL? And what is the dose? And does it have other flavors mixed in? I have used this one and it tastes fine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VVLAPKM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 However these days I take the straight thiamine HCL powder and add a dash of C (since the two place nice together and have similar needs) and add to some water and some noncalorie flavor enhancer like koolaid, and I can just swig it back. It tastes a bit sour and a bit bitter but nothing super horrible. The homemade brew is a lot cheaper than buying sublinguals, I make up a batch and since there's no sugar, it lasts pretty good, I can carry it around in my purse in a little bottle like an alcoholic except I am a thiaminaholic. I take some sips of it through the day, at least morning and night. I used to take it more when my energy levels were uneven but these days I take it less as it seems my body is finally totally filled with plenty and my baseline alertness is over all up but I also do not get too much of a sudden surge from any individual dose now.
No worries, they actually sell Delamere goat butter in the states, it's just really expensive compared to cow butter.
Interesting question. I found this: https://intellectualconversation.wordpress.com/2012/03/22/flour-tortillas-without-interesterified-oil-or-trans-fat/ I've noticed they've been changing the names of ingredients to hide their bs again lately. Looks for the most part like you either get trans fat or something worse if you want store bought tortillas. However i did find these https://www.amazon.com/NUCO-Certified-ORGANIC-Gluten-Coconut/dp/B01INZMV1E
Try cocoa butter instead. When I was first starting out I was melting 100% raw cocoa butter wafers in my coffee every morning, and eating them plain throughout the day (they are waxy but not in a horrifying way) sometimes with 100% cacao paste chips (like two of the butter on the outside and one of the cocoa inside). These give a great boost of stearic acid/saturated fat without having to add a bunch of meat that you don't want to eat. Coconut oil is high in stearic acid as well.
Well this post just cost me $300.

This seems like a good price to get into a Mito product - they seem like one of the more reputable LLLT manufacturers. 60 day return policy.
My mom is using my old wrap every night, and says she wakes up less often to use the bathroom, and is therefore getting better sleep. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08LG5W3TX/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_glt_i_86B8DD4MYD96QEAKHD96
My tallow experiences are all over the proverbial ballpark.
The first variable is, what is room temperature? I suggest that depending on culture and preferences, it could be anywhere from 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The latter temperature, BTW, is what refined coconut oil melts at. All MUFA and Satfat, no PUFA. Go figger.
I bought a gallon of tallow on eBay over 2.5 years ago. It alleged to be grass fed, but at $34, I doubt it due to the price. No longer available. I bought a half gallon of grass fed tallow at the same price, and it's a lot nicer product. Cleaner taste. It's a bit softer.
I've tried rendering my own. Nothing like the bought ones, as noted below. Nasty.
I've given up trying to figure out the MUFA/PUFA/Satfat clues. I like what I have, end of story.
Hey would this product be fine? The listing says: "Stearic Acid - Triple Pressed - Vegetable Based - White Flakes - 7 lbs. net wt - Grade: Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical, and Food"
It seems to be marketed more for cosmetics though, but that seems somewhat reasonable considering most people still think saturated fat is unhealthy

Would appreciate the help, thanks!

I was taking 1 scoop of the succinade for a couple of weeks, but it started becoming intolerable. I might start it up again at a lower amount. At the same time I got this succinate from amazon. It's more expensive per unit weight of succinate, but a more controlled dose. I take one per night before sleep. I think that is keeping me at a higher metabolic rate, while the two weeks of high succinate consumption "jump started" my metabolism.
This one says it's kidney fat from grass fed cows, and is quite hard and waxy. Has an additional shipping fee. I’m hoping to find a local source but it’s good for now: https://www.amazon.com/100-Grass-Beef-Tallow-pound/dp/B01B8LGEWM?pd\_rd\_w=s6Hz9&pf\_rd\_p=5bc65336-a8b0-4888-9e70-4d4ce2f6bd59&pf\_rd\_r=K5D87RV1VTV6E9MJCA7N&pd\_rd\_r=8f820665-e58f-41db-bb99-4f32abfc498e&pd\_rd\_wg=ELDSG&pd\_...
I'd also recommend to supplement biotin if you're going to supplement ALA. I have been taking https://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-R-Alpha-Supports-Vascular/dp/B005C99OWO
I've ordered one of the DG Yao body wraps (this one), and I'm curious to see if it helps because nothing else has moved the needle. My body temperature has been stubbornly stuck around 97.2 despite trying high calorie, high fat, stearic acid, sterculia oild, and now succinate.
I'll add to OP's post, since I don't think this subreddit wants to become /r/redlighttherapy
My red light body wrap came today. It's this one: DGXINJUN Red Infrared Light Therapy Devices Wrap Back Pain Relief Home Use Wearable Wrap Joints Muscle Benefits https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B092ZMZLMW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_glt_i_KR4WAAG2E49S0CD7ND5G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I've got keto rash on my shins (even though I haven't been keto for a long time). I'm going to do 20 minutes on one leg, and leave the other leg untreated as a control. Hopefully I'll see improvement in a few weeks, as red light seems to be most famous for its skin repair ability.
I can feel some heat when wearing the wrap. It's a nice comfortable feeling so far. It doesn't seem to get uncomfortably warm during a 20 minute exposure.
I did my shin, stomach and back today. 20 minutes each part. After exposure, I can feel something in my body. I can't quite explain it, and I'm not sure if it's a good or bad feeling yet - but for about 20 minutes after exposure there was a new sensation for me.
My oral temps have been around 97.5 to 97.8 recently. I'll be tracking this to look for change. I also measured my belly and waist, to see if either measurement goes down in the next month.

There you go. Skinless Boneless checks out. I'd egg wash it(egg whites), bread in grated parmesean, and fry it in tallow to get the fat up. I wouldn't use starch personally cause I think carbs are dumb, unlike many people here.
Gonna give this a try: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TK2LZH3?psc=1&smid=A2K91ZQ8F36P0Q&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp
I have some issues with my wrists & forearms, and a clamp-on desk lamp where I could use this. Seems like a suitable place to start.
Yes that does seem like a promising approach. I've experimented with it a little bit myself. Like you describe, you have to start with small doses and work your way up.
The one that I've been exploring is 2'-Fucosyllactose (human milk oligosaccharide), which you can get from amazon. It is reportedly highly bifidogenic.
There's no heat effect with LLLT, it's cold light. A sauna wouldn't really have anything to do with that, since a sauna only produces heat, not light.
I bought a simple red light wrap, which I'm still using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FTKBHPX/
I do a total of 40 minutes with it every morning, 20 min each on my back and front.
I have bought a PlatinumLED Biomax 900, and will be switching to that for full-body treatment once it arrives. Alas it's currently delayed due to the shipping crisis. https://platinumtherapylights.com/products/biomax-rlt
Not all peanuts can be tarred with that PUFA brush.
There are high-oleic acid varieties. These have 25%.MUFA and 'only' 15% PUFA.
Here is some nutritional info on these peanuts.. And Amazon has peanut butter made from them.
I've tried a lot of tallow over the last 2 years and I find a lot of them to be gamey or just sort of weird flavor-wise. Then I found this from amazon and it's all I'll ever order. Very mild, neutral flavor and it seems to keep well at room temperature in my pantry.
For those wondering if there is a difference

I have been using a light that simulates sunrise since Jan of last year. It's just a cheap one, not infra-red or anything fancy. It comes on every day at 7:00 am, just the light no sounds activated, and hits full brightness at 7:45 and turns off at 8:30. I sit near it on days that I have the time to do so, but only 20 minutes or so on some rushed workday mornings. I really like this thing, I'm in a northern latitude location and feel like it makes a big difference for me especially in winter. I don't know how many lumen it projects. I get good predictable solid sleep every night and used to suffer from insomnia. No way to say whether starting the day with light at a consistent time made the difference. The room has blackout curtains. I am at goal weight, so this could be part of my success as much as SCD1 inhibitors, who knows. Great topic.
I might try this one next. It's a powder in a capsule. It turns out the one I mentioned in the previous post also contains "mixed tocopherols". I am trying to avoid tocopherols and switch to tocotrienols.

Here is the one I ended up buying on amazon. It isn't bluetooth capable but it was only $9.99.
In addition to what everyone else has said, how's your vitamin and mineral intake? Hunger can also be driven by micronutrient needs, not just macronutrient needs. Do you take any vitamin supplements? If so, what kinds?
I'd be curious if your hunger changes at all with the addition of a high-quality multivitamin, such as Pure Encapsulation's ONE.
Interesting. Anywho, if you're not willing to get your own tallow, I'd personally be checking out this behemoth of grass-fed tallow.
My only concern would be whether or not BPA and other endocrine-disruptors from plastic would leach into the fat. I know BPA is water soluble, but IDK if can dissolve it oil or not.
Are you using refined or unrefined sesame oil?
If you are using refined sesame oil, I would instead opt for something like refined palm oil. Since the sesame oil isn't being used to impart flavor, you can use pretty much any oil with a high smoke point (important for sautéing). Palm oil is a good choice because its low in PUFAs and high in saturated fat, making it very resistant to oxidation during the cooking process.
Avocado oil is also a good option, and its usually easier to find in grocery stores, though it does have slightly higher PUFA content.
If you decide to go the palm oil route, you can actually find it a bit cheaper than avocado oil online, like here.
Coconut oil is also widely available and a great option for low heat cooking, but I typically find it smoking up the kitchen if I use it at anything above medium-low heat.
I found quite some time ago that if I added a small carton of pure coconut milk (Aroy-D from Amazon) to my lunch OMAD I would be very satiated and it would last all afternoon and evening.
My typical lunch meal is about 1.2 pounds of ground beef (73/27, browned & seasoned, not drained) with a splash of ketchup and about a cup of extra sharp cheddar shreds over the top. Along with this I usually have either some cheese crisps (moon cheese or parmesan) or some macadamia nuts and a few squares of 78% dark chocolate (Lindt, made with cocoa butter, no soy/veg oils).
After reading the Croissant Diet article last week, I went looking and found Coconut/Clarified Butter at my local Walmart. I also found "All Butter Croissants" at the same place. Happy coincidence? I'm going to shift some part of my diet from strictly keto to Croissants/Sourdough bread (grilled cheese?)/potatoes plus lots of butter.
There is still some fat remaining though... https://www.amazon.com/PBfit-All-Natural-Powdered-Roasted-Pressed/dp/B01KKEECLS 2 grams per scoop(a proper big boy scoop, I'm not talking tablespoons here), zero saturated fat, and it's likely all pufas. Don't get me wrong, this is worlds better than Skippy, but it still isn't ideal.
Forgive my ignorance, but I'm allergic to all nuts so I wouldn't know if the flavor will be right...but perhaps macadamia nut powder plus stearic acid would be a better idea?
Matt Stone’s original Diet Recovery is available for free on Amazon at the moment, so that’s about as good a place to start as anywhere else. The ideas in there about weight plateaus/regains and negative psychological effects resulting from dieting really hit home for me.
Would this one be good?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mystic-Moments-RMSTEAWAX1K-Stearic-Acid/dp/B0068ISQAE
The problem is also, it always says that it's for external use only and should not be consumed...
I recently ordered this which claims 99% purity. However that’s disputed in at least one review.
