My eyes were like this when I had a baby, my lashes lady (I get extensions) puts these cool patches on my eyes during fills and told me to take powdered collagen in my coffee-they didn’t completely go away but are less noticeable. skyn ICELAND Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels, 8 count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FH8NAS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_V8TtDbV5009BY
Check out Asian and European sunscreens that arent sold in the US because they are lighter weight(cosmetically elegant as they call it) and they have better filters. My favorite is Sun Aqua Moisture Gel SPF 50 PA++++ its a lightweight gel that is like there is nothing on the skin. It's my HG. Def not greasy at all! It even sinks in when I apply over my whole routine. And it works well under makeup
Even with tret and 8-9 hour days outside with no reapplying I dont burn. I've burned after 2 hours with other supposed SPF 50 high ppd sunscreens(looking at you Australian Gold)
Looks like rosacea which your current routine is just aggravating the crap out of.
My suggestion if you're serious about helping the issue along:
Try these things (all of them) for atleast 60 days and if you're still having issues go to your dermatologist. You may need some of the topical antibiotics, lasers, etc.
I use a Mr. Pumice bar to exfoliate calluses in the shower followed by O Keef's healthy feet or Gold Bond ultimate healing lotion. I've been a dancer my whole life and my feet can get really callused from it but this routine definitely helps.
An AHA (chemical exfoliant) would be helpful in getting rid of whiteheads.
Here are a couple you could consider:

Use Tend Skin Care Solution and then apply balmex. It will be cleared up pretty quickly. Do the 2 step process at night before you go to bed and put on underwear - it will be almost resolved overnight.
In the future, get your bum waxed.

Hey - have you been checked by a doctor for eczema at all? Mine started on my hands around the time I first started in care (washing hands/bacterial gel etc).
I got a prescription cream from my GP to help with the open wounds but when it's not flared up I use a hyaluronic serum followed with a good hand cream (I love stuff from The Body Shop).
Link below to Amazon for the serum I use:
This has really helped my hands, winter makes the dry and soreness so much worse but I've found this reduces the pain and cracked skin significantly.
I've been using this one: CeraVe SA Cream
i’ve had great success with this! just dab some on a q tip! also just be mindful if you wear a lot of things that rub in that area like high neck sweaters or scarfs and such.

Hada Labo Tokyo Gentle Hydrating Cleanser! Japanese brand, Tokyo line made for the US. This stuff is amazing! and a 5 oz tube, using it once per day, lasts me over 6 months.

Here it is on Amazon : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AAX6C26/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zWHcDbCV2CP70
You can get it online at Target, but it's more expensive.
I love Biore Watery Essence, which is pretty cheap and you can get it on Amazon. I also love [Australian Gold tinted mineral face sunscreen}(https://smile.amazon.com/Australian-Gold-Botanical-Sunscreen-Mineral/dp/B01M8G39OW/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1507415245&sr=8-1&keywords=australian+gold+tinted+face+sunscreen). It's a nice option if you want to go the mineral route, and it comes in a HUGE bottle, for only like, $12. You can get it on amazon, at CVS, or at Ulta, so it's really easy to repurchase. I also really like Clinique City Block SPF 40 for a really cosmetically elegant mineral sunscreen that has a little bit more slip to it.
idk if what you’re looking for is skin care products, but I began adding 6 drops of electrolytes to every bottle of water i drink throughout the day, and cleared all my closed comedowns in a week. elete – Electrolyte Add-In – 1 Pocket Bottle – 4 Essential Electrolytes Concentrate – All Natural – Transforms Any Drink into a Sports Drink – 24.6mL https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0018N27UY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zphOFbMG7VZ5K?psc=1
I used this brand to cure myself from KP. It was recommended by my dermatologist, but is cheaper on Amazon. First you use the shower poof with body wash on the areas affected, and you can also use it on your heels or elbows if they are rough. Then, post-shower, you use the lotion. I forget how long it took to see results.
Two things to keep in mind: 1) your skin in those areas will be more sensitive to sunlight, so make sure to use sunscreen. 2) you hands will start to scale/peel, so if you don't want that (especially if your job entails people seeing your hands), you will want to wear latex gloves.
That is the kit I used, but just search that brand name and you can buy just the lotion or body wash. I used them together and went from never wearing short sleeves or tank tops to never even thinking twice about doing so.
Edit to add: $68 USD seems expensive, but keep in mind that you're only using it on the affected areas, and a little bit goes a long way! They are very thick/rich products. Also, it cured my KP and I no longer have to purchase anti-KP products.
Edit2: It took me 2 kits to cure mine. The first one I bought at the derm office, and it was almost $100, but then for my second one, I bought from Amazon. This was maybe 5 years ago? And I haven't needed another kit since and my arms are smooth and normal skin colored ( as opposed to flushed with red).
I use these. They dry quickly and are inexpensive enough to throw away when I need to. I only use one at a time, and hang it to dry on my shower rings. I also find them at tj maxx for a few dollars less than that amazon link.
Yes. Could also be face creams, toothpaste, or just the fabric of the mask rubbing against her skin, or a combination of those.
I’ve since switched to silk masks hand washed every night in Woolite Delicates. The silk is actually really nice and much more comfortable than cotton for longer wear; it feels really luxurious. It’s a pain to hand wash them every night but I’ve just incorporated it into my nighttime skincare routine and wash them right after my face (which allows a nice space for my skin to dry fully before applying other products). So whether you have PD or not I highly recommend silk masks and wish I had switched sooner! This is the one I bought off of amazon and love; I have two.
No problem! Sorry they're not better (and boo WSJ!). Unfortunately, I think all that can be found is shaky at best, because it's already medically proven that micro-tears are a real thing (since we know abrasions exist with force on the skin and tiny ones can be seen under microscope), and journals aren't going to study a specific product like St. Ives scrub. Rather, they mostly deal with theories and tests (and since micro-tears are a fact, this doesn't really fit in!).
I did manage to find more here and here (she has her own references!) if you're interested! Also, a quick search on this sub has more info about it as well. :)

Yes. I purchased through Groupon which has a lot of reviews. Here is the link https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-biovne-black-peel-off-mask. By reviews I meant of the general product, which is reflected in the reviews for this specific mask.
Ah ok, I believe it's this one, the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin Dry Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 60. Keep in mind this is for the American version (assuming there's an EU version of this one) and can't really be compared to the non-American versions since they use different filters.
Yea, I think if it works for you I wouldn't worry. I think most of the anecdotal reports of underperformance have been restricted to the Asian sunscreens, particularly the Bioré, Nivea, and Purito lines. I can't remember the last time I heard someone have a similar issue with any of La Roche Posay's.
It might be just genetic, theirs this volcanic roller you can use to pick up oil instead of oil blotches and is washable

I can’t express to you how well a nice emollient lotion with urea does. I’ve done makeup and esthetics for 20+ years and this lotion is a life saver. Dry, eczema, irritation, pigmentation spots, this is a great start. Also make sure you’re using a good SPF daily. That will also help!
I think this is Tinea Versicolor. It's caused by an overgrowth of yeast, so in short, you are correct. Sugar is the problem here. Maybe cut out the soda, try to reduce your sugar intake. This skin condition doesn't go away on it own.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015HNGLJS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_X1MS48J8HQFBJCBY8KAX
This product has a ton of good reviews and there are lots of folks that have said it's helped treat and restore their skin. I have a little bit of this on my own skin and I've been wanting to try this product but haven't just yet. Good luck!
I have been using a moisturizer on my chest. I guess I should powder shortly after I apply it. My boobs seem to like it, but I guess it could be causing too much moisture. It does have tea tree in it though so I thought maybe that'd be antifungal enough. But I will be sure to grab some antifungal cream! Right now all I have is goldbond medicated powder. I think that's antifungal to an extent but I'm not sure. As far as skincare for my chest goes, I use an orange bodywash from Neutrogena:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Neutrogena-Body-Clear-Acne-Body-Wash-with-Glycerin-8-5-fl-oz/10849650
The more consistent I stay with that, the better. I wash every night. In the shower I just use my hands. If there's a day I don't shower, I wash with a wash cloth. That's a lot easier than flopping your boobs in the sink :) And then I moisture with this. I buy it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082TLTQGB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_6YIeGbTHT7S47
I've heard mixed things about physical exfoliation, but I do that maybe once a week. And I figure the wash cloth helps to gently exfoliate. I also do a boob mask once a week! Usually some kinda mud mask. What a sight it is to see me naked on all fours on the bathroom floor so the underside of my mask covered boobs will dry :) The biggest thing that's been helping is not picking. I used to pick for like an hour every single day. I'd go in with a flashlight and pointed tweezers and squeeze all my pores. I could still do that and get plenty of stuff out, it's horrible. But now my skin looks and feels a lot clearer and softer and more even. The less I pick, the better it looks and feels. Slowly but surely, it's getting better. Knock on wood. Now hopefully I can get this rash under control so I can have nice boobs for once. I was blessed with a large chest, but they came with a lot of problems lol
Collagen peptides have been LIFE CHANGING! I noticed results in 10-14 days, I’ve been consistent for 2 years now, in addition to the bumps on my arms, legs, cystic acne it also started regrow on the hair I lost after my first baby, it’s incredible. Start out with 2 scoops and then you can go down to the recommended 1 scoop a day. I wouldn’t recommend skipping more than 2-3 days. I’ve tried a couple different brands, this has been my favorite.

If this isn't a solution, I recommend seeing a professional or ask some family/friends.
I recently found cerave’s psoriasis cream on amazon and it has done wonders for my chest and upper back! I just started working out more and this has cleared up any problems I had and I haven’t had a pimple since. I never had bad back acne or chest acne... just a pimple here and there but I feel like it’s doing a really good job. Here’s the link to amazon Cerave Psoriasis Cream (note that I don’t have psoriasis)
Here are the ingredients: Active Ingredient: Salicylic acid 2% Inactive Ingredients: water, urea, glyceryl stearate SE, cetearyl alcohol, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, niacinamide, laureth-9, limnanthes alba (meadowfoam) seed oil, PEG-100 stearate, gossypium herbaceum (cotton) seed oil, behentrimonium methosulfate, 1,2-hexanediol, C12-13 alkyl lactate, dimethicone, tasmannia lanceolata fruit/leaf extract, ceramide 3, ceramide 6-II, ceramide 1, phytosphingosine, cholesterol, tocopherol, hydroxyacetophenone, hydrogenated olive oil, glyceryl stearate, disodium EDTA, sodium lauroyl lactylate, xanthan gum, carbomer, sodium hyaluronate, sodium hydroxide
If you can find it, Jack Black makes a pineapple mint version that is DELIGHTFUL. And if you "need" any more Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm in the pot is my HG night time balm. I don't like it for daytime for hygienic reasons (finger + potted balm = bacteria fiesta) but it soothes and seals in moisture like nothing else I've tried (I even prefer it over the Milk makeup night mask, and the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask). FWIW the stick version isn't terrible, but it's a totally different formula and not as effective for me.
Had the same issue on my arms and legs. This CeraVe SA body wash was a life saver! It's not very expensive and I saw results in a week!

I would try oil cleansing. You can buy Greek oil on amazon, it’s a very large bottle and lasts a long time. It should help pull the plugs out, and prevent new from forming. You put 5 drops of the Greek oil and 2 of the tea tree and rub all over face in circular motions, for anywhere between 2-10 minutes. Then wash with your regular face wash. I’ll link the oils I use.
Thanks for the links, I really appreciate that you took the time to find those. The line you quoted, however, is referring to scrubs in a general form:
> Scrubs, by definition, are physical irritants just as alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy acids are chemical irritants.
Including sugars, wax, walnut shells, and so on. Following your quote, the article recommends moisturizer and vitamin C following any scrub as a protective action. I think that stood out to me the most because my most effective routine thus far has been the use of scrubs (St. Ives and otherwise) followed by a vitamin C night cream.
WSJ is behind a paywall and a quick incognito window didn't do the trick, so I didn't get a chance to look at it. I'll try again in a bit.
The third article does address slight wounds, but goes on to suggest this makes them unsuitable for sensitive skin, which, I think, can be argued for other forms of exfoliants.
This did give me some good terminology to search Google Scholar with, though, and there are a few citations worth skimming. The references all seem to point back to a Zoe Draelos, though, which is interesting.
Anyway, thank you again - I've searched from time to time and never really been able to find anything supporting or denying the effectiveness of St. Ives, so this was some good material to read. :)
Hi!!! I had the same problem for a while and with enough care it has cleared itself up. To start with do not use a grainy exfoliator! No sugar or salt scrubs, this is your vagina not your back. It's sensitive and rubbing a sharp irritant all over it will only cause it to swell up and fight back more. Use a gentle chemical one like this-- https://jet.com/product/detail/74b698be797348ea9c94076ef34f2151?jcmp=pla:ggl:health_beauty_a3:personal_care_cosmetics_skin_care_a3_other:na:na:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&k_clickid=2e633e26-76a8-4464-80b7-ad6691990713&abkId=403-173977&gc...
next- STOP SHAVING!!!!!!!!!!! Wax. And go to a professional waxer, explain your problem- a good and knowledgeable waxer will give you good advice. Your bikini area is super sensitive and the skin needs to be treated with extra gentle care.
I just switched from the pill to the depo shot, so my face has gone a bit wacky from that and I'm trying to get it under control. But soon I think I'm going to see if I can get some samples of various brands to try.
Edit: I noticed that Costco carries the Shiseido SPF 50+ spray for $27. Is there a huge difference between the spray and the standard lotion as far as quality and texture go?
<3 thank you so much. I had been getting bad hormonal acne breakouts around my period and also had redness/scarring from previous breakouts and overall a very uneven skin tone.

at night i spot treat with neutrogena rapid clear daily leave on mask (if i have any stubborn spots) & i use retinol as a moisturizer

I was looking for a more cost effective one bc I was using Tatcha enzyme powder. I actually like this one a lot more and it's just over $16 vs tatcha being $65. Seriously I hope they never stop making it bc it's amazing.
Yeah I have that mask, I mean less of a mask and more of a face wash (like: Grandpa's Thylox Acne Treatment Soap with Sulfur - 3.25 oz (3-pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071VP3WFN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_4nSTFb3ZQXR2P) I use a prescription sulfur wash, but these products can also be helpful.
If you’ve tried that much and it’s still there you definitely need a second opinion.
I was really skeptical of paula's choice bha until I tried it! I bought this off of Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00949CTQQ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_QYvhxb8PJ6SN1
It works so well on my scarring and redness, and seems to help prevent future breakouts :) If you do get it, since you are taking Accutane, patch test it first! Accutane made my skin more prone to irritation when I was taking it.
Yes! This is the one I have, and it’s still like brand new even after using it almost daily for two years.

I use this one rn! But I’ve used more than I can count over the years haha I just make sure to clean and replace them once the needles dull
Oh I was saying Snail stuff was in my wishlist basket - specifically Cosrx's Snail Mucin Power Essence - haven't bought it yet though. I'm slowly but surely nominating, considering, then keeping or ditching a bunch of Asian products I'll eventually order from Amazon in one full haul (probably in a month or two).
The Ordinary stuff (specifically Buffet) I've already ordered though & just waiting for it in the mail.
I also have oily skin and hyperpigmentation, I've been using The Face Shop's Rice Water Oil for a few years and love it! $18.99 for two 5 oz bottles that usually lasts me about 6 months.
I use this one from Amazon. The blue is just the light (which you can turn on and off). I bought some essential oils to go with it, though they are not necessary. Although if you're going to go for some, I'd make sure you get some eucalyptus because it helps clear out your sinuses, hehe.
Edit:
I forgot to mention that using a cortizone cream works really well for me. My doctor told me to only use it for three days at a time because I believe it can cause your skin to thin out, but when it gets extra bad I use it and it clears it up almost over night for a little bit. You should check with your doctor!

And it’s just $5 ;-). If you get it, I really hope it works for you as well as it works for me!
I like to keep it simple and I only use two products for my everyday routine (other than using face specific soap).
Beat sunscreen: Velvet sunscreen. It’s not really popular in the U.S. so, it can be kind of hard to find or expensive. But, it lasts like 2 months and it totally worth it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007TSU0E2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QK.pFbF9XCA6P
The other product that I think everyone should use is a vitamin C serum. It like the magical face product. It will help with the discoloration on your cheeks, helps smooth out wrinkles and prevent them, and it helps with a bunch of other stuff like hydrating. This is the one I use and love!! https://prettycowry.shop/products/30ml-vitamin-c-essence-hyaluronic-acid-whitening-natural-face-serum-firm-soothing-repair-essence-face-skin-care-tslm1
Sorry for the delay! This is the one I use. It came with a few serums but I’ve used others with it too and they have worked well. Mmm I find that Cicaplast really helps me retain moisture. But if you’re looking for something that really locks water in, maybe a moisturizer with beeswax would do the trick. Maybe something like this?
I always use an exfoliating scrub in the shower, especially on my legs before shaving. It makes a big difference for me. There are tons out there, but I'll paste the one I'm using at the moment below.

This! There’s an inexpensive retinol lotion on amazon that I bet with time would make a difference! Just remember to keep the area covered or put sunscreen on your back; although I doubt the retinol concentration is very high since there’s no pregnant/breastfeeding warning that most retinols carry. I’ve been using it on my chest, neck, back and arms and it’s been really helping with skin texture and I haven’t had any of random back pimples since starting.
Here’s the type of sheet I bought and cut using at night. Epi-derm Standard Sheet - 4.7 x 5.7 in - (Clear) Silicone Scar Sheets from Biodermis https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004MRS9OG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_NmhICbATBA9HC Medical supplies might have a better deal. The thicker sheet like that you reuse.
My husband used these bandaids which is what ended up working finally. He also told me he 'dug some of it out'. I didn't delve too deeply into that part but it's completely gone after he struggled for well over a year or two and his foot is pain free.
I wouldn't use this on the face. The % of Urea is too high. Eucerin makes a face cream with urea. Here is an amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Eucerin-Replenishing-Cream-Night-Lactate/dp/B00BO0B3PG/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=3KIXG0D31PHA0&keywords=eucerin+urea+repair+face+cream&qid=1671462990&sprefix=eucerin+urea+%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-3
That sounds so painful. I'm not sure what products you are using but some lotions can be irritating if they have fragrance or acids that your hands might not be ready for. I highly suggest vanicream moisturizing cream in the tub. They also make it in a tube for on the go. Then, put some vaseline or favorite ointment over top. Reapply often throughout the day. I keep a little jar of vaseline as well as cream with me at all times in various rooms in my house. Experiment applying when your hands are damp vs dry and do it the way that feels the best. Also, dove hand soap or dove bar soap is great for using around the house when you need to wash your hands.
Someone already mentioned gloves, but truly... using cotton gloves or even socks does help your skin repair itself while you sleep. Apply your thick cream with vaseline or other ointment on top, then cover up and go to bed. Don't put vaseline on top of your skin without some other moisturizer on first.
I had something like that that wasn't fungal acne and managed to treat it with aczone but it can give really bad breakouts (for me at least). Salicylic acid and retinol/retin A helped to some extent. Also, I bought one of those exfoliating silicone brushes (https://www.amazon.ca/YaptheS-Cleansing-Exfoliator-Blackhead-Exfoliating/dp/B07JHBS8B2/ref=sr_1_29?keywords=silicone+brush+face&qid=1671148697&s=beauty&sr=1-29 ) and used that in the shower everyday and it hasn't come back since.
Personally, I would try to see a dermatologist first but I know how the process can be frustrating so in the meantime I definitely recommend getting one of those brushes (you can use it with a gentle cleanser), then maybe doing salicylic treatments 1-2 per week and use a retinoid every second night (or every night when your skin can handle it). Obviously, if it is fungal acne it won't do much but these ingredients aren't going to ruin your skin like nizoral (I tried that yep).
Check to see if anything you use has mineral oil in it. It’s actually the worst thing they put in products. Check any medications you may be taking, what the side effects are. Blistex Moisture Melt was my go to but it’s hard to find now. Lately I’ve been using which is just as good as the over priced Laneige sleeping 😷 [Carenel] Lip Sleeping Mask... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078RKMPZR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I'm telling you, I went to a Dermatologist and had the nitrogen treatment and it was extremely painful and the damn thing GREW! (God damn fuck plantar warts.) You gotta get this stuff off amazon called Bazuka extra strength wart remover. Then you have to get a large needle (t-bar pins) sanitize with BLEACH, (alcohol doesn't kill the wart virus) poke the wart as many times as you can stand, as deep as you can, then put the Bazuka medicine on. Once the medicine has worked for a day or two, trim excess skin and do the process again (sanitize, poke, sanitize, put on medicine) (Sanitize trimmer, trim, sanitize trimmer, sanitize needle, poke, sanitize needle, put on medicine)
This may take a few months to completely get rid of it. They grow in layers. All those little black dots are the center of a wart they are in clusters. Always sanitize with bleach. Good luck, you're gonna need it.
For me this is one of the best for oily/sensitive skin https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R2CSP6P?tag=people-onsite-prod-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1&ascsubtag=6543553%7Cnef494daf9b504da49f11388006ef855913%7CB07R2CSP6P%7C1668259997772%7C
Don’t be afraid of the color, blends perfectly and doesn’t notice.
not a doctor but that looks just like psoriasis to me. Have you tried using Neutrogena T-gel?? A primary care doctor might be willing to prescribe you some betamethasone while you wait for the specialist.
Wash 🧼 you face with this Ciracle Anti-Blemish Foam Cleanser every morning you will see results in a week / there is also Ciracle Pore Tightening Cellulose Patch (but I couldn’t find it on Amazon) Hope this helps 🙂
my eyelids just started to really itch for a whole week and became rough/flaky in texture out of nowhere. then i started applying Eucerin Aquaphor on them every night before bed and my eyelids are pretty much back to normal. i don't know how it works for me but maybe it'll work for you.

Yeah over exfoliating is bad for sure, but I mean slightly agitating your skin with a washcloth, not like crazy scrubbing it. Something like this. This is just my own personal experience but my acne went away completely when I started using it several times a week/every day and my skin became really smooth.
<strong>Grocerism Urea 40% Cream</strong> is perfect for staving off dry, ashy skin this cold season. More of treatment than lotion, smooth, moisturized skin is within reach 🙂
Non-greasy and fast-absorbing . A very thick cream which absorbs extremely well into the skin, and seems to last for a significant time. You do receive more than the typical 4 oz product weight, and the scent is very mild and barely noticed.
You can try Grocerism 40% Urea Cream with 2% salicylic acid

I’m can only talk about my butt acne and I’ve been using this for 1 month and it’s almost cleared up. Hope this can help 😊👍
Grocerism 40% urea cream + 2% Salicylic Acid. WORKS!
Depending on the nature of your foot skin (callus, dryness, cracks, etc...), it make take up to week of buffing and moisturizing 2x a day to feel and see results of this Urea cream, it does work with a little patience.

You might keep track of those sunscreens for your derm so you can see if there's a common ingredient that you're allergic to.
you could patch test just literally a zinc oxide stick like this https://www.amazon.com/BLUE-LIZARD-Sensitive-Mineral-Sunscreen/dp/B083VTP119 not as a long-term solution but just to see if you can tolerate it.
My suggestions would be to use regular Listerine twice a day (or cool mint, but none of that ultra clean or other new types), try to get some exposure to the sun a few times a week, use a simple toothpaste like aim gel (no tarter control or whitening), for balm use either cortisone ointment (only the ointment, not the cream) and blister conditioning lip serum. Be sure to apply balm after brushing and gargling with listerine

I buy oval blister bandaids and use them on my face! Very helpful when I get a cluster of pimples and I cut them up for a one off. here’s a good example. I find I get a lot more band for my buck - especially when I get a chin flare up.
I had no idea that this worked - but Lysine is my go to also. I'm going to try milk next time. I usually use a Lysine+ ointment: https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Health-01674-Clear-Lysine/dp/B00014EGA0/. I couldn't find it with the most recent break, so I bought tablets, crushed them and spread it it on my lip instead. It also worked. I do this as soon as I feel my lip tingle or being extra sensitive and I rarely get a full breakout.
An AHA should help.
I also get these and Nothing made a difference in my skincare routine. I tried a chemical exfoliant, switching face washes, benzoyl peroxide…
This product was the only thing that made a difference in the bumps here it is It’s also only like $9 on Amazon.
My forehead looked exactly like yours.
I’m brown male with beard too, I’ve tried a lot of sunscreen, and finally found the perfect one. Trust me on this and get the Skin Aqua sunscreen. No white mark whatsoever. https://www.amazon.com/Rohto-SKIN-AQUA-Super-Moisture/dp/B084C5TMT3
Carenel sleeping masque. My lips have never felt so good. Check it out here.
For me, I use a silicone body brush. Unless you're changing your loofah very regularly it can harbor a lot of bacteria because it's hard to clean. A silicone body brush might be good for you based off what you said because it's incredibly gentle so you probably won't be as irritated and easy to clean.
Hey OP, I have KP too and what really helped me was using a dry brush every morning. I use it in the morning before showering and then moisturize after the shower and it was a game changer for me, it’s the only thing that has helped, I linked the one I use
Anti-fungal topical and/or Fluconazole (oral). To cover your bases, you could try hypochlorous acid - it’s antibacterial, antifungal, and helps treat eczema. Or you can get anti-fungal cream over the counter at the drug store (find one with Clotrimazole as the active ingredient). Be gentle if you try scrubbing/exfoliating in case it’s fungal.
I use Cerave's "Renewing SA Cleanser" and these little rags almost every day in the shower. Mainly on my legs but any time I use the rags on my arms, it greatly reduces it. I imagine it'd be almost entirely gone if I did it on my arms more than once a week. Mine was much worse than your picture and I noticed it getting even worse before I got the rags. Honestly the rags do much more than the cleanser does and much faster. I've tried the specific lotions but I'm really bad at remembering to put lotion on my body every day. I tried first aid beauty's scrub and it was ok. Sort of helped but it felt expensive in order to get my legs and arms several times a week.
I use rosehip oil first. Massage that into my face for about a minute. Then follow with the CeraVe hydrating cleanser right on top of the oil. I use a clean makeup cleaning cloth. I do find my face is much cleaner - and softer - once I started doing an oil cleanse first. It also helps to get all the mascara and eye makeup off better too!
I recently got these exfoliating rags that have helped dramatically with keratosis pilaris/strawberry effect. I use them on my face too and honestly they're the best thing I've used in terms of exfoliating anywhere on my body. Probably use them 3-5 times a week.
I used to be really bad about accidentally cutting my legs and I've spent a stupid amount of money on fancy razors. I recently got the Billie razor and haven't cut myself once. Legs feel really smooth too. I shave once a week. Aveeno makes a shaving cream called Positively Smooth that helps reduce hair growth. Highly recommend it just to not have to shave as much. I feel like my hair grows at an insane rate and that stuff has cut down the feeling of needing to shave.
I use CeraVe's daily lotion for everything. It has made a difference in how my skin looks and feels. I use it on my face as well as body.
I hope any of that can help you! I feel like body hair management is one of the most annoying things and its frustrating when it feels like our body is fighting back.
I highly recommend a product called Tend SkinTend Skin Solution
>Venus Sensitive Razors
If you are shaving, be sure to condition the area before hand. Try a shave oil. You will also want to use a very gentle exfoliant. I would also suggest using a thick, sensitive skin cream like CeraVe afterward. You will also want to make sure you keep the area dry - it is hot as hell during the summer and there is inevitably going to be a lot of sweating going on.
TBB, this is exactly why I stopped shaving. I trim. This is what I use. Ingrowns are now very rare for me. I might get one or two, tops, in a year. And boy howdy, does it save time!
I'm so happy I found the app dermanostic https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dermanostic (not sure if it's usable for everyone) My skin is finally clear after years of products and frustration.
Before that I had to wait months for an appointment at the derm......who then misdiagnosed me and my skin got even worse lol
First off, I’d lay off of the non-acne treating products you use until you get the acne under control.
Secondly, I really like this stuff:
https://www.amazon.com/Aztec-Secret-Cleansing-Original-Bentonite/dp/B00S7ZPB8Q
It’s pretty cheap and you can get it at Wal-Mart or just about any drugstore. Mix a small amount with water or preferably apple cider vinegar, and apply it as a face mask for about 10-20 minutes once or twice a week.
Daily after cleansing your face, use a witch hazel astringent/toner. Dickinson’s is decent and cheap (good products aren’t always expensive). If you have dry or sensitive skin, don’t use it as it can be drying or irritating, but I’m pretty sure that isn’t a problem for you.
Use a benzoyl peroxide ointment/cream on the acne itself, and use a light moisturizer on the parts of your face that may need it at nighttime. You don’t want to be sweating and having the moisturizers migrate to the problem areas.
When you get the acne mostly gone, gradually add the other products back in and pay attention that you don’t start to break out again when you use them. There’s no “one size fits all” routine and you may not need some of the products you’ve bought, so don’t let sunk-cost fallacy make you think you need to use them to get your money’s worth if it just causes problems. Give them away to someone who could use them if they aren’t good for you.
Oh, and if you haven’t, consider seeing a dermatologist who specializes in acne treatment.
one i use all the time that i buy at the drug store is this one. smells nice and makes me feel soft !!
its very hard to find an effective product for undereyes, but this is what has helped me a lot.
this undereye serum and eye masks
those are my suggestions!! but your skin is absolutly beautiful and i dont think you need to change anything !! your routine is working !
e11ement - Hypochlorous Acid Face... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09RBCWRXH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This has made a huge difference for me! I spray in on morning and night, first thing. Pretty cheap to try too. Good luck!
I bought this after I saw a bunch of people recommending hypochlorous acid for itchy skin irritation. I have horribly itchy legs from keratosis pilaris and this is the only think I found to relieve the itching. It doesn’t burn (you can even put it in your eyes). It smells a bit like bleach but it doesn’t stain (and it’s not the same harmful ingredients). I tried it for the first time yesterday after I had terrible razor burn (from KP). The best success I had was covering my clean, dry legs with it until they were soaking and then let it dry. I had to redo it a couple times and spot treat a bit but after about 15 minutes, I had no more redness or itching! I applied lotion and now still, no more itching (and I’ve been having terrible itching for several weeks). I don’t think it will cure it or anything but I do think it could relieve discomfort temporarily. I would suggest transferring it to a better spray bottle that’s easier for covering larger areas, the nozzle on this one is hard for getting coverage on legs. There’s also a CeraVe lotion that has the same ingredient as Neosporin and it’s numbing. It’s intended for itching, I used it when I had unbearable chiggers. It also has ceramides and other moisturizing ingredients. I found I had to rinse it between multiple applications though or it built up on my skin. The hypochlorous acid is the better bet first because there’s nothing irritating in it.
You can actually use both. The salicylic acid targets the sebum that combines with dead skin and bacteria to plug up your pores, while azelaic acid targets the bacteria itself and focuses on stopping it from building up in the first place. Same with the AHA. If you're concerned about oil and deep congestion, use the BHA. If you're more concerned with surface issues like pigmentation and acne, use the AHA.
Just keep in mind, with every active you run the risk of irritation. Just monitor your skin and back off actives if you start to show signs of irritation.
I personally use The Ordinary's Glycolic followed by Paula's BHA. I've also recently started a strong chemical peel every week. I can handle a lot on my face. Pretty sure I could nuke it and have no irritation. Add actives slowly. Start with washing, rice toner, then azelaic and whatever acid you choose, and a moisturizer. Add other actives after a few weeks of starting the previous one. Niacinamide definitely helps so I'd add that one next if you wanted to. You may not need all of these ingredients.
For moisturizers, since it's on your chest, you could always use a healing ointment. I've used Green Goo's First Aid Salve to help promote healing on my lesions. I plan on buying this one to promote healing and soothe the skin.

Looks very much like Keratosis Piliaris. If it is- Exfoliating mitt with water only, after you shower like normal. Rub in Small circles and rinse. Moisturizer with urea or lactic acid. Other things: Salicylic acid or glycolic acid body wash. The pixi polish and peel 3 minute pre-shower mask is amazing for this, too. They all help. For me, if I neglect it and it gets like yours, I personally use the peel on dry skin, leave it on for a few minutes then hop in the shower one in a while, but I typically use the mitt and moisturizer daily. If I don’t have any, the Neutrogena 3% salicylic acid shampoo works using it the same way. The mitt is the most helpful for instantly helping smooth the texture but not a complete, immediate fix. Nothing is. That mitt and the other products prevent them.

I struggle with acne on shoulders and upper back especially with sweating from summer or worn king out. I use acne dote face and body scrub in the shower and it has helped. I also do a quick “wipe down” of my shoulders and back with witch hazel wipes if i know I’m sweaty (like after a workout) - this helps till I can get home, showered and changed.

It’s way too harsh for me too. I do a lot better with salicylic acid— and then moisturize gently after cleansing.

Try Arnica cream, it’s a natural herb that reduces redness, dark circles and helps to speed up the dissipation of bruises. Got this reasonably priced tube and the results were almost instantaneous. Plus there’s no chemicals that could actually irritate the skin more.
