This is actually a really good idea. I read like half of y'all's fics, I'm sure, but I dunno who matches up with who. Here's mine, in any case:
For those wondering how to do a link like that, you put the text in brackets [] and you put the link directly after in parenthesis. ()
Hi! There were some weird things with the webchat a couple days ago, it may not have resolved for some people. An alternative right now are the following steps:
* Go to https://www.mibbit.com/
* Type "Solasmancers" in the search bar
* The chatroom should show up, click the green "connect" button
* Type in your desired nickname and click "go", wait for it to connect
Let me know if that works or not. If not, I'll find another way for people to connect.
EDIT: This alternative has worked for people! :)
Disclaimer: this is yet another one-shot and also shameless self-promotion (I recorded the podfic).
But this little Solas POV piece by the mighty Astolat (hallowed be her name) is absolutely gorgeous: The End of the Journey
Well I don't have an AO3 account but since I've jumped on the Solas train I went ahead and made a tumblr for these Lavellan drabbles.
Edit: Protector Lavellan Now on AO3 thanks to Jenny!
Ok, so, I totally wanted to use "my heart" in the beginning, but I was questioning whether setting it for my texts would be weird, like using the elven, my heart, made me less creepy or something because people wouldn't know what it meant unless they've played the game. Thanks for your comment! I see that I'm not alone! I was so giddy that I made one immediately. Here! http://www.filedropper.com/myheart
A user on Tumblr by the name of simbelmine makes plushes and I ordered one of Solas! He is amazing! So well made and soft, the quality is amazing. His armor even comes off. Simbel is an amazing person, she updated me on every step of the process and wanted my input in some ideas she had. I would definitely recommend getting one for yourself!
Thanks so much! and yay! Writing dialogue is one of my favorite things so this pleases me, haha. Have you tried Slick Write? They have a ton of analytics and the best one, for me, is the Structure tab. It will show you a visual analysis of your paragraph structure, like this (from the first page or two of _the Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie.) It has other analytics, too, but I find them less useful.
OK now I'm starting to wonder if there might be a disproportionate amount of lucid dreamers among the solasmancers tribe! That would be interesting! Most people I talk to about lucid dreaming have no idea what I'm talking about. Most people can occasionally wake up in dreams or control them, but not habitually.
The first time I found out that the rest of the world had the term for lucid dreaming was when I was reading Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman. He has an entire section about teaching himself to lucid dream. Ultimately he ditched it because he could no longer see its worth as a tool to develop himself or something. Feynman could be weird.
