put the dimmest lightbulbs you can in rooms where you pick. this was a game-changer for me. if I can't see my face very well, I'm much less likely to pick.
also, take out all but one mirror in your home if possible. throw away any magnetic mirrors or anything like that. drink a shit ton of water and work out most days (shower immediately after). at night--double wash.. with a simple basic wash like cetaphil first & then a benzoyl peroxide wash second, then salicylic acid toner except when super dry, moisturize with something scent free and basic like cetaphil moisturizer. rinse off excessive oil in the mornings/when needed throughout the day. if you wear makeup, wear it as infrequently as possible. make sure you exfoliate 1-2 times a week with some kind of exfoliating product.
of course, really just gotta QUIT ADDERALL to really really stop with the acne/picking/excessive sweating/constant touching..
hydrocolloid bandages like these can be helpful for when you just can't stop touching the acne etc.)--https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D1CT9DX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
also, there is a skin-picking sub on reddit that may have some useful suggestions. r/compulsiveskinpicking
Thanks so much for all the work that you do for your patients! Best wishes as you detox.
I tapered off adderall this summer and will be 3 months free at the end of the week. One thing that causes my grogginess it in the morning is adrenal fatigue. Adderall is very hard on the adrenals. I had my doctor run a test and it turns out my cortisol is very low in the morning and very high at night which explains why I feel so alert at night and slug-like in the morning. You may want to add some kind of adrenal support to your stack.
I have been pretty happy with this homeopathic tonic.

Please do take care. Keep us posted on your journey.
I recommend this book: https://www.amazon.com/Quitting-Crystal-Meth-Handbook-Methamphetamine/dp/1477584633/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=meth+recovery&qid=1626458040&sr=8-4
For me everything improved after 6 months. At 2+ years I still struggle with attention issues (too much and too little) but I have ADHD and don't take any stimulants now (and can't take Strattera), so it could just be the ADHD. Depression got a hell of a lot better at 6 months to a year, although the pandemic threw a bit of a wrench in the works.
I’d recommend going to a Refuge Recovery meeting and purchasing the book on Amazon. It’s a Buddhist based path to recovery from addiction.
Unfortunately, it’s only available as an Audiobook on Amazon right now it seems at the moment.
I think distracting yourself is a good way. Video games, good movies, Working out. There is a good book called "The Power of Habit". Maybe a positive replacement habit will help. I struggle with the same problem. 3 weeks is a long time- Congrats.
I wouldn’t say it’s tested by an addict. I mean if you want in to get your fix you’ll break any one of them. Anyways, with that said, the one I have is
Supplements and all that rarely work for me personally but this product is great, i take it with a low dose (3gs) of Kratom a few times throughout the day and it definitely helps with everything.
I have tried other similar supplements but this is by far the most effective

Yeah, I share a bedroom and I highly recommend earplugs, but not just any earplugs. I recommend these plunger style plugs, as opposed to shapeable foam. They're MUCH easier to get a good seal, easier to take in and out, and they block sound better:

Hey! I have totally been there — and maybe more so...I wasn't just taking more because I wanted to feel it. I was taking more to stay up for days and...yeah. I started taking adderall again a few years ago (I'm 35 now), and even though I wasn't abusing it anymore, I definitely didn't like feeling dependent on it to think. So I got off of it two months ago, and...
...my biggest piece of advice is to NOT search for a replacement. Nothing will ever compare. Instead, look to make yourself feel sane and happy and balanced again. The biggest thing that helped me do that was legit having medicinal mushrooms every day in my coffee/tea. I used this product, but I'm sure you could use something similar — it seriously changed everything for me after a few weeks. That one costs $50, but it lasts for almost a year. I seriously feel balanced, like I'm thinking clearly, and just pretty happy. The only thing I'm still working on is getting motivated to start things to begin with. But when I start doing them, I'm totally focused — and that's thanks to the mushrooms.
Regardless of whatever you try, good luck!
Sorry for the post formatting snafu.
This is the android app link:

I've been using it since the start of January, and it's been somewhat of a revelation having my use charted out like this.
The app is simple, light, and just there to record whenever you dose your DOC.
(in my screen shots the doses for meth aren't real doses. I don't bother to add the dosage to what I snort. I add it for other stuff tho😐)
Anyway, I hope this app can help anyone else to maybe start thinking about making a change.
man, when I first got clean I gained so much weight. It took me years to get that shit under control (mostly). Also here is one of my favorite shirts I bought last year. https://www.amazon.com/Smoke-Brisket-Not-Meth-Funny/dp/B08DJJXQ46
Here's all you'll need to get started. I'm telling you, with your clear skills; once you get on the scene you'll be making bank.
Sure! This is what I get from Amazon. I wasn't able to find any at my cvs or rite aid, plus it's so much cheaper this way. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08WR3PDG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_3ZFH3Y1RXXWEABBYHN9A
Here is the one of the videos I watched: https://youtu.be/bl0n7_nfLOc
I totally understand how you're feeling. Wellbutrin is something you could ask your doctor about. It's an antidepressant and is prescribed off label for ADHD. They also make time delay pill dispensers that only open up once a day, so you could use that to control your intake of Adderall. I got this and it helped me get my use in check.
The important thing to remember is things will get better with time, I promise!

I really like this app there is a free & premium version but it's a clean looking app with a bit of customization. Plus there is a community you can access to talk with other recovering addicts.
Of course. Here you go! The reviews are pretty good. It’s pretty sturdy plastic material that seems it would be difficult to get into.

I am still shopping around. I bought this combo supp after my Trader Joes COQ10 ran out. It is a chewable. I really like it so far.

Just from Amazon - Dr. Emil and this past time I ordered The Genius Brand as well.
Others mentioned they order from nootropics depot.
Oof! Tailbones are the worst. I broke mine twice. It's been nine years since the second break and it's still painful when I sit for too long. Get yourself a seat cushion that has a gap in the back for your tailbone. It helps so much! This is the one I use:

Also, a small group of us from this sub started a weekly zoom support group meeting. There are just five of us. Three, including me, are recovering adderall addicts. If you want to join, I can send you the details. It's on Tuesday nights at 7pm Central time. Let me know! We'd love to have you!
>I suggest Vitamin B super complex, Vitamin D and L-methylfolate (along with everything else honestly) Some of these vitamins really do help with depression, especially D supplements. Vitamin D especially helps with seasonal depression in the winter time, which hit me really hard just before Thanksgiving.

>Also go on Amazon and look up "Genius Joy serotonin booster" The product has thousands of reviews and many of them are 4-5 stars. So I'm sure it works for depression. I'd try it out before going on anti-depressants, the side effects are horrible especially if you value your sexual functions.

This book and this one are good places to start. Remember that recovery is a process, and so is addiction. The best advice I can give you is to ask for help. It makes recovery easier and helps keep you accountable.
I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the grief you feel right now over the pain you have caused you partner in your relationship. You can’t go back and make better choices, so when you catch yourself beating yourself up, acknowledge it and show yourself some kindness. The best thing you can do for her right now is let her know that you are battling annaddiction and that she needs to take measures to protect herself from your behavior. And you need to be prepared to let go of the relationship until you can deal with all that pain you feel.
You life is not over, therefore your relationship with drugs has not ruined your future. You can learn from your past and present. Reflect on the choices you have made, and instead of feeling guilty, ask yourself the honest question of whether or not the behavior you engaged in while high was fun.
> EDIT: I'm scared the cravings will never go away, some people say they never do.
I had this fear too and then my therapist gave me craving
I highly recco :)
also: I started taking abilify which helped cut down on my cravings big time as is backed up by tens of clinical trials (it occupies the D2 receptor as well)
that + running + rhodiola rosea = the key to me getting off...
well, plus the intrinsic desire to get off :~)
you'll make it!
