seems you need 3rd party app like the one on the link (for wear OS) u/jd18_ 's answer is INCORRECT
Don't forget to add the little paths and others secrets in openstreetmap, this is where all the work is done.
I do it in my region, it's always great to find the map updated in the SuuntoApp, one or two weeks later.
Well yeah. If you are afraid of battery of anything you are probably going to adjust what you're doing. If it's there and you don't use it ... No harm done? This is a feature that Garmin already has: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.wearsoft.locus.addon.ciq And for most cases an update per 10s or even more is more than sufficient. When I'm on a bike or navigating through complex terrain I have to reach for my phone every so often and that kills battery way faster than BT connection and longer running GPS. The question is specifically about "what would you like". So I'm not limiting myself to whether Suunto has open communication protocol.
You might want to check out the open ambit project or the Android app AmbitSync based on said project in order to sync your data to your device and bypass Movescount. Ambitsync has built in Strava upload if that is the route you want to go or you can upload the GPX files to another service of your choosing.
doesn´t work!
you have to download the sportstracker-app!!
it syncs to the suunto app (its the same platform) and you can connect a BT-HR-sensor in the settings :D
It's not a native feature of the Suunto 7, you need to install an app for that. A popular one for Android/WearOS is 'sleep as android'

This is what I am using:

My 7 is Black. The strap I bought is Black w/Crimson Red Bottom, which is now sold out.
It is my daily driver and am quite happy with it.
Good luck finding 24mm bands.
You can order 3 screen protectors for like $7 on Amazon. They have saved my and my husbands Suunto 9’s countless times, even when he crashed around a slick turn on a bike and it scraped along the pavement. link here. Says it’s for the Spartan but fits the Suunto 9 baro and regular Suunto 9. In regard to the scratch and water, if it seems shallow and you put a screen protector on it, I would think it’s fine?? But I’d follow your gut there.
