Yes I have read this and ate it up as well. I also read The Witness Wore Red. If you are into this kinda thing, then I would 100% recommend it. It's written by the 19th wife of Warren Jeffs. I know they are different religions, but very good read all the same.

Idk if anyone else is familiar with this, but the whole “men need respect and women need love” was a big thing in Christian communities when I was growing up. There was a marriage counseling program I think with this very language that I recall my parents and many other couples in our church doing called “Love and Respect.” Kody uses therapy lingo to manipulate and it seems like maybe he skimmed this material and is using key phrases to boost his ego too.

From what I remember hearing in the book, it was pretty one-sided in women needing to give respect to earn the love they want.
